HSC,

I'd know you were Scorp just from that. I've always said if you want to get into a discussion with one, you better know your s***.

I agree on the last bit. I read the bible cover to cover when I was young, at that time, my innocence prompted a discernment of the discrepancies. Reading it now makes me realize its probably been manipulated but people just accept it verbatim, extend the beliefs till their mouth and not beyond yet come to beat you with it.

I'm not sure what I would call myself. I was born a Roman Catholic but i'm still thrown off my a lot of the literature i'm reading. I do what Linda says, take what resonates with me and leave the rest.

Yup my friend is gorgeous. He likes to think so too. Lol Have you ever considered going in for a shorter crop? Something that is gelled up for hold - modelesque? I think it would bring focus to your face.

Moths have a dual stream mythology. On one hand they are shown to be associated with death. They have a deep mythical association with the river Acheron, with Atropos (one of the fates, the cutter of life) and Hekate. It is this crone-ish/wisdom type of myth that is conjured up when they see a moth as opposed to a butterfly. It was thought at many times to be a harbinger of war, pestilence, and death. If a moth were to enter a house and snuff out a candle flame, it was said to indicate a death in that house. They also represent the soul in some parts of the world. A moth seen at night was what the soul looked like when a dreamer left his body in the dreaming state. In some slavic countries, the moth is Mora and refers to a nightmare where a dark woman comes to people in their dreams and takes their life. Mora is very close to Moirai (the fates) and Atropos. The other side of the moths mythology is more jovial. The moth in many Native American cultures is a lazy and jubilant party-goer. Their apparently random and chaotic flight patterns were seen as something akin to a wandering gypsy bard. Their tendency to fly towards flames was seen as a mad party lust. They were called to the bonfire like they could hear some music that we could not. You can really see the chaos in this aspect. Wisdom and Chaos are strong in the Moth so it is quite appropriate for this time of year.

A person with a Moth Totem will have a bit of both of these aspects in them: Wisdom and Chaos. They will be those individuals that walk the fine line between life and death. They will be equally at home being alone or in a crowd. Even when they are within a crowd, they have the ability to blend in, portray themselves as something other than what they are, or portray themselves as they actually are. All are well within the Moth Totems grasp and they may exhibit all these traits within a single social evening. They enjoy this as what they love is that moment of transformation from one thing to another. From background to foreground, extrovert to introvert, life to death, etc. They may choose to wear bright coloured clothing or something drabber, depending on their mood. The only thing constant about their behaviour is that it goes where the wind blows them. In their love life, this can be a source of excitement for their partner or a source of bewilderment and frustration. Their partner will always have to shift to accommodate their personality at the moment. They can be the life of the party, master of illusion and grand gesture. Or they can be quiet, in the back of the crowd, soothing and gentle to all those around them. Moth Totems will be quite tactile people with a heightened sense of touch, but they may be frailer as a result and shun too much personal contact. A Moth Totem will have great empathy and emotion for those close to them. As such they would make excellent hospice workers, doctors, nurses, funeral directors, etc. Any career where the end stages of life are important will be careers where the Moth would excel. Careers where there is an element of transformation are a good fit as well as the Moth Totem revels in that transformation. So hairdressers, beauticians, make up artists, fashion designers, interior decorators, etc are all great career choices for the Moth. Wherever they go, they follow the flame, and the moon (inspiration). This tends to be chaotic, yet spiritual and somber. If you can reconcile those two, then perhaps you are a moth.

I assume that refers to some comic or graphic novel or something?

I like it. The color is richer on my home computer. My monitor doesn't seem to be as bright as most other monitors I use. I like the angular color of the cutout layer

Oh...yeah, I could do something like that. I watched A Scanner Darkly again recently on tv, and I just kept thinking about how my graphics programs could actually make something very close to what's on the screen. It's still trippy to watch it move, though.
