Dy-na,

What Aries-Cap combo do you have? I'm Aries Sun, Cap Asc.

Oh cool! I'm Aries Sun - Cap Moon (DC, Mars and Neptune).

quote:
I remember the Bull telling me he thought I was special and that he waited a long time for someone like me.

Yes - that sounds similar to things I've heard from this Venus person. The other thing is - the Neptune person can do no wrong. If the Neptune person DOES a wrong - Venus just covers it up and pretends it was all beautiful and sprinkled in fairy dust.

Basically Venus sees what they want to see and they hear what they want to hear -- and there is nothing anyone can do to convince them otherwise (including Neptune him-herself). Did you feel this way at times?

I think you might be right. With the Bull, there was a big scandal in the beginning, because he was my best friend's crush. He didn't share her feelings and made it clear to her. But that doesn't excuse the way I behaved. I didn't feel sorry or ashamed of my conduct until we were actually a couple. He couldn't understand my guilt at all, he thought I was right and she was wrong and that was that... So maybe it was true that in his eyes I could do no harm.
His natal Venus-Neptune opposition might be wide, but in our synastry, the orb was close. With the Leo, it's actually EXACT.

Where are your Cappy planets? My Asc is @23. Oh, and by the way, Dy-na, your NN-Venus conjunction is very close to my Mars-Pluto opposition (Mars 28 Aries, Pluto 28 Libra). Saturn is also on your SN (2 Scorpio). The Bull had a similar effect on me (his NN 29 Aries). You must be born a month before him.

In Leo's synastry with the married girl, they have a Venus-Neptune opposition dw, BUT the one from his Neptune to her Venus is close (3 deg) while the other one is wide (7 deg). It made sense to me that he would idealize her, she is VERY beautiful and refined... but I never understood what attracted HER to him. He is average, modest looking, nerdy even. And yet she jeopardizes her marriage to be with him... I guess she (Venus) sees him (neptune) through rose-coloured glasses. You're right on, Dy-na!

Izo,

that song! (Iris) struck me like lightening when you quoted it here.
I`ve been hearing it in my mind, regarding a certain individual, who has Venus on my NN Neptune.
Oh yes, I think we are in the same boat concerning Nodal axis and Neptune. For me it might be even worse with my ASC and Mars being around there, too.

And yes, it feels unfair sometimes. But I guess that is just because we might place higher priority on what we want than what we need.
I am absolutely trusting that the universe will apply us with what we need, including the lessons we need to evolve to who we really are and those we might even need to meet love, deep lasting mutual happy love.

Just, we might not like the way to there.

DD,
Is this Patrick with his Venus on your NN?
I am, again, going through a phase of rebellion against the Universe and its silly rules. I've paid my dues, suffered like a dog after the first Venus-NN thingie, I've straightened up my act, I learnt my lessons. HOW MUCH GROWTH MUST I TAKE? I'm Cap Asc for God's sake, I was born all grown-up. If the Universe doesn't send some real serious lovin' my way instead of this make-belief soulmatey lovey-dovey nonsense, I'll pack my toys and head for the monastery. (really "mature" attitude, right? ) ARGH!!

I declare this song the NN's song to his/her darling Venus. Elton John - I want love.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aKjNvWOH5I

But I want love, just a different kind
I want love, won't break me down
Won't brick me up, won't fence me in
I want a love, that don't mean a thing
That's the love I want, I want love

I want love on my own terms
After everything I've ever learned
Me, I carry too much baggage
Oh man I've seen so much traffic

So bring it on, I've been bruised
Don't give me love that's clean and smooth
I'm ready for the rougher stuff
No sweet romance, I've had enough

No, not Patrick.
We don`t have strong Venus nor NN synastry (except his Mercury, DESC-ruler, on my NN).

I yesterday thought when I read about your two experiences; maybe the first time was to learn the lesson, and now you are being put to the test, have you REALLY internalized it?

That's exactly how I feel. The Neptune person is the "average Al"/"plain Jane" type from my perspective and the Venus person makes them out to be something else entirely. I almost feel like I've entered some kind of twilight zone when I hear the Venus individual saying certain things.

My Cappy planets are all over the place lol
DC - 0' Cap
Mars - 3' Cap
Neptune - 5' Cap
Moon - 19' Cap

It's interesting that I'm in love with a Leo - and being chased (and constantly teased - because he is a 2 year old) by a Taurus guy lol
I think those Sun Sign matches are pretty common for Aries women.

DD,
That thought crossed my mind too. They are actually quite similar. Even look the same - brown hair, green eyes, glasses... I think the Leo also has Virgo Asc. He is way too modest for a Leo!

Naturally, in my eagerness, I presume I learned all there was to learn. But I don't think I aproached this matter with the Leo correctly, either. I went to extremes in both cases: chased the Bull, avoided the Leo. Perhaps I should try and be more moderate.

So who is this guy with Venus on your NN-Mars-Neptune-Asc? (whoa, he really triggers some heavy stuff in you, doesn't he?)

Yeah! When I saw them together I was so shocked. They don't look good together, like they fit. She looks like a movie star, on the classical side, but very beautiful. I thought to myself "Girl, you have ZERO chances". Coz I'm also average, like him. Except for my eyes which are really stricking, I don't have one single beautiful thing in me. And I don't make up for that, either. I dress modestly and wear little make-up. I don't do my hair and rarely wear jewelery. Classic Cappy Asc...

I was talking about my mother on the Mars thread.
Her Neptune is in exact conjunction with my Pluto.
I ,LITERALLY, could not see her.
Neptune is a very powerful planet.
I had recurrent dreams my entire life where I was in situations where I needed to see and could not.
Only, now, with the help of Astrology and God ,am I seeing.
A tight Neptune aspect is like a tight suit of clothes. You have to pull it off you --inch by inch.
This was my experience with her, anyway.
I have a friend who has it with me. His Neptune is on MY AC.
He sees me through rose colored glasses.
I guess Neptune in the right doses is good. Fairy tales, creativity, other--worldly beauty takes you from the mundane world .
However, it is the planet of mental illness and addictions.
So, not enough balance can send you reeling over the cliff.
My Mother's Neptune on my Pluto almost did that to me so I can appreciate the power of a Neptune used in the worst way.

LOL - Yes Izo that's him - the "bow wow".

What degree is your Sun? It's funny we have those Node aspects. I've noticed something similar with Spanky. She has NN at 2 Capricorn on my Mars and Mercury at 0' Scorpio on my SN lol

Maybe a few of us have karmic connections on LL.

I'm sure you're beautiful btw. Capricorn AC have a very distinct kind of dignity. My ex had this AC.

Ami - In a sense that's very strange, because Pluto and Neptune are kind of similar and simpatico.. Both outer planets, both "cold", both ruling water signs.
They are actually "buddies"..
But when it comes to reality and delusion I can see a conflict. Pluto could have a problem with Neptunian BS - since Pluto is more hardcore and likes to get to the bottom of things.

But I see this aspect as very "equal" ^ Neither Neptune nor Pluto have an upper hand. The fact that you felt your mother had an upper hand - might be more so because of her Pluto conjunct your Mars.

Anyway - with Venus I think it's a different pattern.. because the Neptune person probably does not feel threatened by the Venus person. Their secrets are safe. Pluto may seem threatening because Pluto sees right through Neptune.

Oh Izo, you really don`t wanna know.
If yes, just guess or send me a mail.

In the meantime I checked some synastry charts, mostly celebrity charts I admit it for conjunctions and squares to the nodal axis within 5 degree (stayed mostly within 4 degrees though).

I checked 12 charts so far (including my parents one); Venus conjunct or square nodal axis appeared 3 times, But I remember Antonio Bandereas and Melanie Griffith have a Venus-NN conjunction, too. So make that four.
The others were John Lennon - Yoko Ono, Robert Browning - Elizabeth Barrett Browning (my alltime favourite twinflame couple ,
I forgot the third one, sorry.

What struck me was that in checking 11 synastries 5 of them had Mars aspecting nodal axis, as well as 5 had Saturn aspecting the nodal axis.
In four cases nodal axis aspected MC-IC, in other four cases Mercury was aspecting nodal axis.

Interesting.

Hmmm... With this new guy (the Leo) I'm having some pretty interesting Nodal connections. Aside from his Venus being on my NN, HIS NN squares my own Venus (so we have a double-whammy Venus-NN) and the MC-IC axis and trines my Mercury... But what really perplexed me is this: my Sun/Moon midpoint is on his SN. I wonder what it means or if it's really important.
Oh, yeah, and his Saturn also squares my Nodes. Great, I can feel this story becoming my new soulmate obsession.

Will be back with the replies. Must have sleep first.

Izo,

I am sorry to say that, but after having checked several synastry charts, the Saturn-Nodal axis as well as the Venus-nodal axis ones seem to be strong.
Sorry.

(of course in my mentioned synastry I have both. Damn it!)

Curiosity kills sleep. Who is it??
Lemme think... Must be Scorpio, Sag or Capricorn Sun to have his Venus on your NN...
Is it Jude? Orlando? Don't remember Andy's Sun sign, but I kind of don't want it to be him. Didn't like that guy for some reason.

Nope Andy`s NN is squaring my Moon. That`s all. Intersting that you don`t like him without knowing him. People either tend to love or despise him. He just evokes strong reactions in others.

Actually Orlando`s Venus is squaring my NN. ROFL

but it's not the venus NN relationship that's a nightmare, it's the rest of the aspects!! izo, are your sun and moon square in orb or just sign? because that combination alone would bring up all manner of conflict in emotional situations!

my ex had his NN on my venus and i must say the fated, had-to-be flavour was definitely there from the first minute...we were together for years and coparented for years more...a never-ending story tho no longer lovers. we had some hard aspects too and some tough times but the love is still there tho transmuted...

when you meet these guys i guess you will know NOW that there's something you have to consider APART from the compulsory quality of the attraction...? that is a huge gift!!

Neither. Sun is 13 Aries, Moon is 29 Sagittarius. They both rule my 7th house (Sun as intercepted ruler), but they're both very good aspected. Trines and sextiles. My life should be so peachy.
