OK
Please start with the first house--ONLY.
Please say which planet rules it.
Then, WHERE is that planet.

How does that ONE placement effect you?

What aspects are to that ONE planet,if you want to add that?

Also, IS there a planet in the first house?
If so, which one?
Which house is the sign that rules that planet?

HOW does the house activities effect you?

Please, write as many specifics about yourself as you can, to paint a picture of yourself with detail

Thanks so much for any responses

Dear Yin
I am so happy you like this idea. I think all signs which intercept the first house---count.

Until we hear further--write about ALL.Please give details about yourself as a person, how the aspects effect you, as a person and in your life

Good idea, Ami.

Unfortunately I am awfully tired due to extreme lack of sleep in the last two days (this damned Lumbago and Diarrhoia will not let me sleep - I blame Saturn, last year when it was squaring my Sun and on my Mars-Saturn-mp he created havoc in my skeletton and my colon, too. ).

Anyway, Jupiter is the ruler of my 1st house and is in Pisces in 3rd house.
My instinctive urge (1st house) goes out into communication, including knowledge and books and such things.
This is where I am most myself, where my identity gets expressed most clearly.
Since it`s in Pisces, I am expressing myself (1st house) on the field of communcations (3rd house) in a Pisces way, which explains my love for fantasy, too.

First house is in Sagittarius. Jupiter obviously rules it. It's in 2nd house Capricorn and unaspected. I honestly have no idea how any Capricorn energy or 2nd house could tie in with my rising, but the unaspected energy certainly does tie in with my rising. I'm wild (an unaspected planet doesn't have anything else to hold it back, does it?) and very... emm... giving?

My first house is the fullest house in my chart, so I certainly do have a few planets there. First up are Mercury and Uranus who are conjunct to my rising and to each other. Second up are Venus and Neptune who are all the way on the other end of my first house and... conjunct to each other.

(I'll add a picture once I get down to being on this site with my undivided attention, later tonight )

Yin,

agree with Ami.
All the planets count. Of course it gets bombastic if you also count old rulers.
Poor Aquarius and Pisces ASC`s!
But actually I find their frequent very multilayered personality to be well reflected by these many rulers.
Anyway, for starters you could concentrate on your chartruler.

What I am gonna try to do is ask questions of everyone who posted .
That way we can get to specifics rather than have long lists of things

Okay, I'll give this a shot..

Mercury rules my first house (Gemini)
Mercury is in Aries and 11th house.

How does that placement effect me?:
The only thing I get from that is I'm very "Aquarius like" since the 11th house is Aquarius/Uranus House. I can be a little weird in the way I communicate, silly as some people call it. Since it's in Aries as well, I have a rather blunt way of putting things. I'm very honest and upfront.

What aspects are to that one planet?:
Mercury square Neptune:
This placement fits me very, very well. I'm rather disoriented in my speaking and writing (I'd be surprised if I make any sense to anyone reading this LOL) By disoriented I mean I talk fast and use too many words. I have a huge imagination and daydream too much.

Is there a planet in my first house?:
Yes, Venus is there and in the same sign as my 1st house (Gemini). Venus only rules my 6th house and I'm unsure how that effects me..

I hope that helps. I really like this idea too

Oooo please continue on after this thread is over

1st in Gemini.
Mercury in Aquarius in 9th house
conjunct Sun
trine Moon, Chiron (grand trine)
sextile Jupiter, Mars

ASC opposite Saturn, Uranus

I want someone else to interpret these aspects for me lol. I think it would be interesting.

I have strong Sag vibes (and also because my Sun's rulers are in Sag). Besides Aqua, someone said I was Sag-like (and then someone else said Leo... which would make sense since my chart ruler is conjunct my Sun).

Excellent.DD

I can SEE how it works by knowing you . You love vampires (fantasy/Pisces).You love musical theatre.
Musical theatre is a perfect Pisces medium lol

I am gonna think of some questions for you and come back.
You answer whenever you feel better.

OK--Jupiter is your first house ruler. It goes in to the 3rd house of communication.
Pisces is on the third house cusp.

Jupiter expands. This would expand your mind, too.
You are very oriented to mind expanding things like, astrology, dreams etc
(I know other signs could be involved here but we will go there later lol)
You are excellent at languages which is part of the mind. You speak many languages.
Would this be a 3rd house domain--languages?

Are there other ways Jupiter expands your 3d house DD?

OK --- What aspects does Jupiter have and HOW do the aspects effect your FIRST house(the essential you}

This is how you do it--right?

Great idea Ami!

My first house is in Libra. So I'm so not your average Aries

My Venus is also in Aries, in house seven (a Libra house), tightly conjunct Sun and Mars. She makes a trine to Neptune (ah, the poetry ) and an opposition to Pluto (ah, the drama )

Speaking of Pluto, he's in my first. Saturn is also conjunct my Ascendant, from the 12th. People who don't know me either fear me, or think that I'm uptight. I think my Venus is a little lost, as she's in Aries, and makes a lot of aspects to masculine planets, but I do have a very Libra oriented attitude. For an Aries, that is

Hugs,
Maira.

Yin,

I meant that you have multiple rulers of 1st house. In your case Uranus and Neptune, as Pisces is intercepted.
If you use old rulers, they would be Saturn and Jupiter.
Personally I have found the new rulers (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) work perfectly though.
Mars is not ruler of your 1st house, as we are only looking at the sign on the cusp or completely intercepted signs.

Aries is on the cusp of 2nd house, so Mars (ruler of Aries) rules 2nd house.

Yes, the question which housesystem to use is one that frustrates me, too.
But personally I have found Placidus to work consistently.

Yin,

Uranus as ruler of 1st in 8th.
Instinctive pull to / finding ones own identity (1st house) in 8th house matters. This is one of the configurations that go really deep and hate everything superficial, they devote themselves totally to a relationship (8th house = commitment), t hey dig really deep and may sometimes be a mystery to their surrroundings.
Uranus is making the connection, so that inclination to go to the depths happens on unconventional, very independent (from society) ways.
It`s a challenging configuration I think, it combines Uranus with 8th house / Pluto influence, it`s like being a SCorpio in an Uranian way.
ONe consequence could be that you absolutely hate smalltalk and the usual conventional things people are "supposed" to do.

Yin,

"And may I just say I am wildly attracted TO a Uranian Scorpio?"
I noticed.

It makes sense, there is a real resonance with your 1st house configuration.

I think the conjunction of Sun-Neptune is especially important for relationships, because Sun, as ruler of your 7th house, conjuncts Neptune, which rules your 1st house.
There are two things to consider:
ruler of 7th house conjunct Neptune, which gives a tendency to lose oneself in relationships, to be very idealistic, and seek for the soulmate (anything less would not do for Neptune in connection to 7th house).
The other thing is ruler of 7th house conjunct ruler of 1st house, that means that there is an urge to merge the other, the partner (7th house) with the Self (1st house), which leads to a deep identification with the relationship or the partner.
You need a partner who reflects important parts of you, with whom you have much common ground. In SAgittarius in 10th house a shared philosophy in life will be essential.
Ruler of 7th house in 10th house definitely would like a relationship to be not only emotionally committed, but also publicly. The partner could be a person, who naturally draws attention to himself or is "famous" or "public" in a certain way, or the relationship itself will be felt as "calling".

You do have another placement with Mercury, as intercepted ruler of 7th house, in 11th house - this again indicates an Uranian person as a partner; the relationship, though committed needs to be "different" and I think for people with that configuration friendship is extremely important as are their personal ideals.
This could go for the partner as well.

Usually the 7th house ruler will be especially significant in the synastry.

Dear Aya
I want to ask you a question about this one thing.
I have read that an unaspected Jupiter is a powerful and good thing.
Some famous people have one. I can't remember who now but it gives a power.

So, you have it in the second house SO your second house should be expanded and beneficial to you.
Is it? The 2nd house is everything in the material world and includes self esteem.

Please talk about how/if you think Jupiter expands the 2nd house

OK Cap rules your second house. I don't want to get in to that NOW but if you do not have good fortune in the 2nd house maybe Cap(Saturn) somewhere could mess it up.

Ami,

"You love vampires (fantasy/Pisces)."
Yes, but that special brand of fantasy comes with a strong Plutonic vibration.
Well, my old ruler of 3rd house (Saturn as old ruler of Aquarius) is in 8th house. So this might explain the vampire thing, as well as Transylvania on my Pluto and MC and squaring my Venus, which rules my 5th house (this I would identify as my vampire-configurations).

"You love musical theatre.
Musical theatre is a perfect Pisces medium lol"
Yes, though it is not solely Pisces. I guess there is some Venusian quality to it, too.

"You are very oriented to mind expanding"
Yes. My mind is always working. I am a bit restless in that, always gathering new informations, sometimes more than I can really absorb and digest, which is probably why I love the internet so much. These ENDLESS (Pisces) POSSIBILITIES (Jupiter) of gathering INFORMATIONS and KNOWLEDGE (3rd house).

"things like,astrology, dreams etc"
Yes, dreams especially would fit with the Pisces in 3rd house; and Aquarius on the cusp of the 3rd house would make me inclined to astrology I think. Or at least to rather unconventional ways of thinking, which is astrology.

"Would this be a 3rd house domain--languages?"
Yes.

BTW I have also been writing a lot of poetry over many years. Don`t know why I stopped. But I find that very fitting for a Neptunian 3rd house.

"Are there other ways Jupiter expands your 3d house DD?"
The 3rd house is where I show my identity, but not only my mental identity, since the 1st house ruler is there, I also show my physical Self there in big ways (Jupiter); this could translate to being overweight, and with Neptune part of the package the overweight tends to be without limits.

"OK --- What aspects does Jupiter have and HOW do the aspects effect your FIRST house(the essential you}"
Jupiter squares Neptune on the ASC. It overemphasises the SAgittarius / Pisces influence in me I think.
Jupiter also trines Saturn in the 8th, giving my communication a bit of depth and solidity.
The ruler of 1st house trine Saturn of course also means that I am rather reserved and calm, and not your typical outgoing Sagittarius.
Neptune on ASC would support this even more, though of course Neptune is much more dreamy than realistic Saturn.
But as dreamy I am, if it comes to my principles or committed relationships and issues that really matter to me, I can be all Saturnian, controlled and structured.
Since Saturn is trine the 3rd house ruler, it gives me a structured mind, too, the ability to analyse things thoroughly, which a 3rd house Jupiter probably wouldnt´do on its own, as Jupiter is much too generous and looking for the big picture and will overlook all these little, though important details.

I actually can be both. Completely unaware of the important details if I am enthusiastic (Jupiter), and then the next moment I can get very nitpicky and focused on the perfect way to do an analysis (SAturn).

I am sure you have seen both sides of me here on LL.

For Yin:

Uranus in the eighth house

This Uranus-in-the-eighth-house page and the entire website are excerpted from You and the Universe, a handmade, individualized fine art book on astrology, mythology and astronomy through which the recipient's complete astrological reading is woven.

The eighth house asks us to enlarge or sacrifice our ego boundaries in order to enter into relationship or union with another or others. To do so, some aspect of our personality or ego must die. Usually it is some thing, not some one, that dies, and with the passing away of that limiting aspect of our personality we experience a releasing freedom.

Herein is the second aspect of this house: resurrection and rebirth. The eighth house rules personal evolution, growth, transformation and change, death, rebirth, sex, possessions of a relationship, legacies, inheritance, taxes, rituals, initiations and the occult, the astral body and reincarnation, and the severing of ties to that to which we are attached. A planet in the eighth indicates that a personal facet of your psyche is under pressure to work more cooperatively or jointly with others. Many planets here signify a person whose life can be characterized by change. Such individuals may find continuous states of affairs monotonous, and periodically bring about changes or crises to feel truly alive.

The eighth house is that one-twelfth sector of the local sky midway between the Midheaven and the western horizon (see above picture) occupied by planets in the two to four hours before they set.

With Uranus in the eighth house, you have very strong psychic feelings and hunches, which if not understood and disciplined could lead to erratic or compulsive behavior. Your sexual proclivities may be unusual and quirky, especially if Uranus is aspected by your Moon, Venus or Mars. You could have difficulties with inheritances or other people's money, but a well-aspected Uranus here indicates unexpected financial gains. Business partnerships can be a source of trouble, so give them a lot of forethought before entering one. Your death is apt to be unexpected and sudden when it comes, and may be accidental or violent if Uranus is in hard aspect to (particularly conjunct) Mars. Be especially careful around cars, machinery and electricity if Mars, Saturn or Pluto are in hard aspect to your natal Uranus, particularly when this occurs by transit. A bad temper can also contribute to accidents with these aspects. If so, don't drive when you're upset or angr
