Interesting how "common sense" always aligns with one`s individual opinion. IP: Logged |

DD - math and calculations have nothing on the human realm. And yes, that is my opinion, just as your studies are yours. You guys can produce hundreds of threads about this on your opinions and theories, nothing wrong with some of us voicing our own from time to time in disagreement or even challenge. That's life after all, I daresay.

I'm in a silly mood, and all I could think of when I saw the title, were lewd comments Teasel...It's something Kevin does to me whenever I try to talk about Uranus with him. IP: Logged |

wtf, I always try to help and I am NOT saying asteroids are FALSE, I am simply saying keep things in CONTEXT. Just because I don't agree with how far it can go doesn't merit rudeness, because I always try and go out of my way to help when I can.Is this what it comes to? No one can even give their own personal opinion after they have contributed and tried to help in their own way? IP: Logged |

I'm with you on the asteroids, Duke. I haven't encountered any great staticians here yet, which is really what the field needs.IP: Logged |

I was talking to the person who started the thread, nobody else, and I was coming back to edit out my post, because I'm in a very bad mood.Absinthe. I only linked that thread because it contained a period of time that I was talking about in the original post. IP: Logged |

oh ok , Teasel.Never mind then lol But I do agree that the person Duke was talking about might be interesting to study on. Isn't that the same guy Glaucus talked about? IP: Logged |

MVM,I am not against you or others voicing your opinion. What gave you this idea? I just wanted to voice my opinion here myself. That`s all. And I agree, asteroids are a field where much research work is needed. BTW which context are you speaking of? IP: Logged |

Yeah, sorry for bringing my bad mood here. It just bugs me when I see people complaining about the way the boards are, or can be, but they don't start threads about the topics that they want to see here.IP: Logged |

i agree with DD and the DUke too. research is necessary to move us forward. i try to limit use of asteroids...there are just so many and it is too easy to get distracted, fill in spaces the way you WANT them to look, etc...but i do use a few that seem kind of universal to me.personally, duke, if i were going to a doctor i would want them to be able to think outside the box and consider possibilities NOT in the accepted dogma, but then i would ALSO want them to be experienced at whatever their field is since practice makes perfect. in recent years i have met all too many doctors who refused to consider a "different" way of approaching even problems that are not well known to medicine..and have found that the teaching hospitals, where students have not had their curiosity crushed, far more helpful than more established docs. there is of course PLENTY to get to grips with in astrology without asteroids, declinations, etc etc...and getting bogged down in little details is a big problem when reading charts, but in other cases the "extras" can give you fine-tuning on specific areas that only enhance the experience... i have NO problem with people who want to learn and discuss asteroids doing so here. i usually stop in and learn a little something though i have neither patience nor time right now to dig very deeply there. but what i like best about theses studies is they remind me of the vastness of the universe and HOW MANY different bodies there are...and surely they ALL affect us to some extent? Annoying! So my grammar is crappy and I (sort of) believe in astrology...it doesn't mean I don't have a crazy-high IQ and a fancy advanced degree. And even if I didn't, it wouldn't mean my research, theoretical explorations, and opinions were worthless. IP: Logged |

I'm just saying, your inability to use proper capitalization and your use of "continuously" when you mean "continually" probably doesn't indicate that you're a retarded moron, drooling in the corner and chewing on your own arms. It just means you use lower-case "I"s when you type.Similarly, lax use of apostrophes doesn't indicate that someone's astrological insights aren't interesting or useful. IP: Logged |

Based on that argument, why do you choose not to use standard capitalization? If you have a problem with people being careless with grammar, why not be careful and appropriate with yours? That's a rhetorical question, obviously. It's a little annoying when people use sloppy grammar or wrong punctuation on internet forums, sure, but it doesn't negate the value of their contributions to the subject. It's an internet forum, not a formal brief. IP: Logged |
