I'm kinda envious you get Cancer mercury Leos. For one, I'm an Aries and then I have Mercury in Aries and THEN I have Venus in Aries. I get Cancer suns, Cancer moons, but not Cancer mercuries... it's like they're able to hoodwink me and I don't like it. How does that not have the same affect on Mercury in Pisces? (I mean obviously they're both water mercuries but you know what I mean?)

I can understand what you are saying. A boy who I basically grew up with has this combo of Leo Sun/Virgo Merc.. and because we now live in different countries.. even though I have his email and he's on my FB - it's very difficult to maintain any kind of relationship with him - simply because he cannot communicate.

I know a Leo sun/Virgo merc... he communicated just fine. He wanted to be a psychologist - really easy to talk to and a very understanding and open person. Then again I have a Taurus moon - maybe? Mercury rules Virgo I thought, so you'd think they'd be extremely talkative and smart.

Think with virgos, we only talk to you really enthusiastically if we think you're cool. Like we're not too much into superficial gushy friendliness?
Virgo mercuries can be alittle critical, but they can be chatty too, you just gotta appeal to them lol.

Wow really? Well he even approached me to talk while I studied and he waited for his friend. Didn't know I was "in". I never tried being gushy friendly. 'Cause I'm a cool cat.

My Leo/Virgo Merc buddy.. was like my brother growing up so it's a shame we have drifted so much. The thing is he doesn't communicate much with women in general... He's grown up to be "a boy's boy".
He doesn't quite get the concept of a male/female friendship I think. At least in his case - It's not about thinking I'm uncool. He is non-communicative in general.
The only thing is - when we were young - it was easy not to communicate because we'd play video games or soccer or go on rides together and do crazy things for fun.. But now that we're in separate countries and we're older.. it's like: what else could we have other than communication?
Our differences have become extra obvious! (The Pisces/Virgo opps rearing their ugly head).

quote:
I'm kinda envious you get Cancer mercury Leos.

Don't worry - You'd have a similar mental connection with a Leo Mercury!
Actually - it's even better in your case.. because you have both Sun&Merc in fire and so does he... so this would make for a very easy friendship. It would also be great in a romantic relationship - because whatever problems you might have - you know that you can always talk about it and you can always sort things out!! You basically *get* each other & you can count on each other.

quote:

lol @ hoodwinking
Basically he knows that I know that he knows that I'm sooooooooooooo onto him! It's enough to look deeply into his eyes.. and he *knows* that. He couldn't lie to me if he tried.

I'm talking about the Leo man who I'm head over heels - in love with. He has Cancer Merc trine his Scorpio Nept.. and trine my Pisces Merc. It's the sweetest aspect *ever*. Before I met him.. I'd never known a Leo guy with his Mercury trine mine so closely. It really feels perfect.

I love water Mercuries because we are very in sync and we can communicate through eye contact. ESP runs very high with us. We feel this right away. I can pick out a water Mercury person in a crowd (when it is in aspect to my own). I just *know* - because of the intense eye contact and the immediate unspoken understanding.

Moi, Leo Sun & Venus, Virgo Mer.
Love talking. Usually warm and sunny disposition unless interrupted in the middle of sth. As for the Virgo Mer part, well, I guess I talk easily to people (chit chat, social conversations), but I dont suffer fools when dealing with sth serious (eg at work) or in intellectual discussions.

My husband is a leo sun/virgo mercury/virgo moon and he loooovvveeeees compliments! Makes him like grin like nobody's business! No compliment can ever be TOO much. Positive reinforcement works WONDERS. He also has a libra rising.

My leo is sociable and friendly but he also needs his time off away from the crowds. This is due largely to his virgo moon/mercury's need for recharge and quiet contemplation. His virgo placements also makes him more down-to-earth but he's still very much a leo - has a healthy sense of ego, generous, loyal, warm, and fiercely protective of his loved ones.

Quirks? Loves glitz and glamour (his libra rising may contribute to this), enjoys fashion and shopping (most guys i know hate it), can be very romantic, has a tendency to splurge on non-essentials (clothes, jewelry for me, anything related to arts/entertainment,etc) but stinge on things like groceries???

His not-so-great traits? Will not admit to anything that would make him seem less perfect than he thinks he is :P

Ah, yes, the pride thing. LOL
See the smoking incident in my post above.
They want to admit things on their own; don't like being forced or put out on the spot when wrong. And who blames them. LOL

That would have been just fine. I can live with that. I know that people can't always help, even when they want to, but a response shows that at least the person cares. A non-response says that I'm a burden and that I didn't have the right to ask that the someone is annoyed with me and can't stand me. Silence is ALWAYS an answer; it's just a bad one.

And since the Leo doesn't act towards me like he does towards others, it DOES mean that he dislikes me and can't stand me and just things of me as an overwhelming burden and nothing else.

I personally wish that things could be better, but it's not going to happen and they can't be changed. UGH. Feel so aggravated with myself. Stuff like this makes me a LOT less confident in interactions with *other* people, so it spreads like wildfire.

Why would it though? Haven't you met people that left you cold, that you couldn't connect with? I mean, for me it sounds the same. I don't think you make those your top priority. I'm going to be honest and please don't be offended, but I kind of failed to see what that Leo guy did wrong. Of course he is going to focus on people that matter to him, that he likes over the ones that he doesn't.
The reason I replied it's because my boyfriend gets into this state sometimes. He frets over people not liking him like you wouldn't believe. And I think he tends to forget that there are some of us who actually care. I get the feeling people that don't give a damn are more important than the ones that do. He would be all like "Why didn't they like me? What should I do?". I don't get it.

Anyway I find Leo people(I only know a few) less flamboyant than the horoscope makes them. We aren't friends or anything , but we get along when we have to. From far way though they seem nice.

I do consider it disrespectful to have bothered someone or annoyed them, so for me, I feel **so much** guilt. I feel like I have to apologize because I was being a burden. I don't have the right to burden people and it's wrong to do that.

The thing is, when I'm anxious, I made really poor decisions, and I get really intense. Sometimes, I reach out to people for advice/support. I absolutely should never do that and should just tough it out.

At this point, Leo hates me and will never change his opinion no matter what I do, so I give up. Not speaking to him is the only option that I have. I don't hate him, but he can't stand me, so there is absolutely nothing that I can do to solve the problem.

I've only skimmed the thread so I'm not sure of specifics, but my guess is that you're just kinda making it awkward by constantly apologizing. Leos don't really 'do' grudges. We get mad then as long as you stop whatever made us mad, we get over it pretty fast. But if you're still bringing it up and still apologizing that does make us uncomfortable plus it just confuses us because to us it's like the issue doesn't even exist anymore.

You just gotta let them come to you. A Leo admires someone who can stand on their own two feet, not be apologetic. Then again the story you gave was a little vague. I'm only under the impression that you asked for help a lot from this Leo who liked to help people (is he some kind of psychologist and you were asking for advice? Not being snarky, being sincere.) It also depends how many times are we talking about here? Sometimes I think as soon as you show Leo a weakness, they will use that against you to have the upper-hand (this is for the very insecure and threatened Leos though.) Leos don't ever hate someone just for asking for help. Even though I've had some dickish experiences with Leos, they've never been one to hold a grudge or not forgive. They forgive quite easily. Very "parental" type of signs - you know?

YES. Awkward, that was the word I was wondering for.

Also, stop making it all about you Regardes (lol)

Like I said... self-esteem. I bet you're an extremely observant and hypersensitive person. Those qualities are great in personal relationships but when you're getting along in the world... not so much.

You're thinking about how he's acting towards you but look at it from a confident stand point, like an Aries would. If I was you and he didn't help me and hurt my feelings I wouldn't turn it around on me (used to, but I grew out of it 'cause I'm not a horrible person. People like me, and that's what matters. I'm human.) I'd sayd "Oh, he's a DICK. Screw him and go find someone else who's more helpful." Say that in your mind though... you'd probably get the Leo's wrath if you said that directly to him. But at least you'd get his attention, lol.

OH, and my Leo crush has Venus in Gemini and Mars in Aries. I have Gemini ASC, Mars in Gemini, and of course my Sun, Merc, and Venus are in Aries...

So does his Mars in Aries and Venus in Gemini make him extra-attracted to me, PLUS his Leo placements? Or am I only supposed to rely on aspects for that kinda thing?

Oh yeah he also has Gemini rising too. It's weird though because he LOOKS like a Gemini rising and acts like one. I have it and I don't.

So, I'm going to try to not worry about it.

To be very honest, I think that a combination of my Cancer moon insecurities plus Libra wanting to be liked comes into play. I can't stand people disliking me unless *I* dislike them too. Then, I don't care. However, there are maybe a total of five people that I know that fall into that category. You have to REALLY push me to get there. Those people, I literally do not care what happens to them; I'd have the same reaction if you told me something good happened as I would if you told me something bad happened. I'd be numb and neutral.

So, just want to thank you all for the honesty. I feel like I understand things more now.

I have to fight against the Libra desire to be liked and the Cancer desire for security; have to shove those things out of my mind and stop worrying about them so much.

The other thing that you all have made me realize is that I have to develop some kind of self-worth that DOESN'T revolve around what other people think about me. I have to find a way to find good within me that doesn't come from other people.

This is going to be a rough battle for me, but thank you all for the insight; I appreciate the honesty.

It really just boils down to the cliche that if they don't like you it's their loss. The people that are worth interacting with will see how cool you are anyway.

Or at least I care less than a Leo does. In any case, I don't think they'd ever admit it but this is the quality they envy about Aries just as I envy their warmth.

Yes we definitely envy that quality, their courage! But at the same time we feel kind of threatened by it, as it can be very easy for them to sort of publicly ridicule us without exactly knowing how deeply they can hurt! Lol.. this is what I had with two of them very close to me. My sis is one and my gosh.. how she could ridicule Leo-me and my Leo-mom in front of everyone.. too many times I wished the earth would swallow me up then and it always surprised me how well my Leo-mom could handle it! Even when I privately ventilated my aversion afterwards she seemed unaffected.
The other was a male friend and I always had to be on my guard with him around because of the same thing.. not very calm waters

ps; my mom had a Libra-Moon.
I have a Scorp-Moon which is exactly conjunct the scorp-moon of my sis.
