I'm not looking for my doppelgänger either. I believe in a balance - enough harmonious aspects to ensure harmony and some harsh aspects to encourage learning & growth and attraction. If you only have some challenging aspects, they can be overcome easily. But if you have too many, too much arguments can take over...you can't even agree on small matters. I surely don't wanna have to argue with my partner even on a trip to the supermarket or which route to take. I grew up constantly arguing with my mom so I've had enough. We've Sun square Sun, Moon opp Moon, Mars square/quincunx Moon, Venus square Venus, Saturn square Moon, Pluto square Mercury/Mars... 'nuff said (lol). My friend whose bf's chart is full of water (while she has none. she's full of fire/air) said they just don't see eye-to-eye but the attraction is there right at the beginning, of cos.

well yeah you need some common points, like i said my fiancee has all that water i lack but we both have the same moon (aries) which does help with some of the friction

like your friend i have a water void, and i'm drawn to water in people as a result (virgo sun, libra ascendant/venus, aries moon, leo mercury, cap mars so 2 personal placements in each of the other elements) cant help it, and they usually end up coming my way (mostly just scorpio placements)

it's not necessarily easy to reconcile all differences but i would find a lack of friction boring in all honesty

of course i don't want to argue constantly, but im ok with arguing

i dont think anyone wants to constantly argue over weird trivial **** like that though, even the people who do argue over things that minor typically do because theyre "safe" arguments and theyre just vehicles for unrelated aggression which is their real purpose, getting that **** out

someone picks a fight with me over some dumb **** like that i'm going to tell them to stop being stupid or push til they tell me what's actually wrong so something can come from it

one of my most volatile friendships lasted 16 years, scorpio moon, it wasnt the constant arguing that made me bored of it though

it was sex being taken off the table and other areas of distance and difficulty that put me off ultimately, mostly sex when i really reflect though

i think that the constant sexual tension was all that kept me there when i think about it, but i don't care to pick it apart very deeply

I think that's also the reason for romantic relationships in the first place: a certain amount of friction so you can grow with each other. That's how I see it.
I do have epic fights with my boyfriend though (we have merc opp pluto , mercury square moon, mars square Pluto) and while I actually enjoy arguing they can be a bit too frequent over really stupid things (but in this moment I can't really help myself). It ends up with me exploding (unfortunately I'm quite impulsive) usually.
Glad we have some nice aspects with each other that smooth over all this fighting haha

Long answer:
My father is Pisces Sun Capricorn Moon Aquarius ascendant Aries Venus and Cancer Mars AND I HATE HIM!!!

He's the best liar I've ever seen and it's ridiculously insane levels of hiding things.

He never loved my mother, bashed her up several times. She passed away 4 years ago and I have never seen him cry or anything.

He used to see pics of naked women when my mother taught me. I was 10 at that time. When I turned 16, he started flirting online and my parents had a ghastly row.
