WARNING: CONTAINS DISTURBING / TABOO CONTENT..

Sag has a pretty good reputation as a fun, friendly, almost harmless sign (esp. the sun). However, the symbol that represents them seems to be taken way too lightly. They are the ONLY sign in the zodiac that is a human/animal fusion. This seems to create the capacity for completely strange, wild, and even disturbing behavior (animal) that can be completely masked or rationalized by their human intelligence. The symbol is literally depicting the "lower-self" with the "higher-self" aiming for a particular target...and they do work together to reach it (whether it's for a virtuous aim or something totally heinous). I have decided that this is much more dangerous / powerful than most astrology texts let on.

Each person in the above image possess unique and diverse charts. The only recurring common theme? They are all solar Sagittarians. Not so friendly / sunny are they? Sure, I have seen some of those people sport a fun even clownish disposition. However, often even those moments reveal an undeniably sinister flicker of mischief in the otherwise sparkle filled eyes Sag ppl are known for. What I noticed during my studies is that Sagittarians are very complex. Both philosophical and shallow. Comedic and serious. Spiritual and hedonistic. The mutability seems to be illuminated by their fire. However, the illumination of their fire is often so sunny and bright that it blinds others from seeing the shadow side of this mutability. Most ppl clearly see the comedic side, but not the serious one. Most readily see Sag's love of adventuring off into fun endeavors, but not their dark journeys into taboo / evil territory.

By the time anyone becomes aware of the more disturbing side of Sagittarius, their human intellect has already found plenty of workarounds to do beastly creature-like things in your face without any ridicule whatsoever. Whether conscious or not, this is not a coincidence. There is a dark side to Sagittarius.

LET'S TAKE A LOOK...
Woody Allen has long been associated with pedophilia, something that would normally cause shunning, but he is a Sag and remains revered. Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off of a bat while on stage. It was allegedly an accident (as he claims he thought it was fake), but what grown adult uses their teeth to rip anything thrown on stage by a stranger? Who can do that and is still loved anyway? Sag, that's who. Jay-z publicly wears shirts with Alleister Crowly quotes and frequently alludes to sorcery / witchcraft, but nobody thinks it's weird. Why? He is a Sag. Trey Songz is typically seen as harmless to pretty much everyone despite highly disturbing "performances" such as the one below. He convinces two strangers to intertwine themselves in his shirt and fondle / kiss each other for his amusement. This is in no way a unique event for him and he also does a lot of sexual simulations. Normally people would see how twisted this is, but he is a Sag sooo.....

OH, BUT IT'S NOT LIMITED TO QUESTIONABLE ENTERTAINERS
There was an article written about the dangers of dating men of the Leo, Aquarius, Gemini, and Sag variety. Yet the ENTIRE comment section was literally dedicated to the evils, horrors, and complete psychological torture of Sagittarius. One would think the article was about Sag and nobody else. That is NOT a coincidence. Sagittarius, despite their warm fun-loving nature, have the capacity for ice cold rancor and sociopath-like behavior while charming you to your grave. They will mistreat you and you will love it, because they always seem to "mean well" and are just so darn fun. Clicking the screen-shot below takes you to the site.

CONINTUED...

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE WE GO

Now the next example is perhaps the most disturbing of all and one of the main reasons I felt this subject needed to be addressed. The two men pictured are twin brothers (in case you couldn't tell). They are known internationally for their extraordinary dancing talent and ability to synchronize with each other without rehearsing or even looking at each other. They have publicly cited telepathy and a "master-slave" type of relationship between them during dancing (in which one somewhat controls the other or something like that). As if that's not weird enough, they frequently do incestuous gestures while dancing, such as simulating fellatio with each other or smelling each others spinal cords or fingers. It is really creepy and completely evil. They wear beads and skulls all over themselves and it's obviously not just for show. Yet of course, NOBODY SEES ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS! Nobody even talks about it. How is this so?

Well I did some research and surprise surprise, they are Sagittarians. So they manage to do typically unacceptable behavior in public and people clap, cheer, and applaud them like the beloved jesters of a royal court. No criticism whatsoever. Like most Sagittarians, they are charming, fun, energetic, witty, and athletically inclined. Who has time to notice incest in between all of that right? Smh, just plain disturbing. The dark magic of Sagittarius.

CONCLUSION
So my point is, why is this never discussed? I have only ever seen this phenomena with Sag, so why is it never talked about? Why is Sag painted as a sunny pleasant creature without anyone addressing their expert use of those charms to do as they please no matter how benevolent or sinister? All of the people pictured in the above collage (the first image) could pass for the image associated with Scorpio but they are all Solar Sags. Some are Plutonian some are not whatsoever, yet clearly they all demonstrate a love of dark / taboo themes. So Sag must be responsible.

Has anyone else noticed this? What are your thoughts? Have you ever noticed the darker side of Sagittarius?

I'm actually a solar Sag myself which is why it disturbs me so much...and here I was all this time blaming anything sinister about me on my Scorpio Asc. . I don't bite off bat heads or anything like that I'm just saying...

Super awesome thread! Really interesting, I enjoyed reading that and it makes so much sense!
The Les twins have their Venus in Scorpio conjunct Pluto, i can see it through the way they dance/dress big time!!! And I never really thought about their behavior to each other as inappropriate either ha, or noticed until now, I just figured they were so close to each other that they can mess around like that because they are comfortable? They are insanely talented and probably top dancers in the world.
Jim Morrison did really wild and crazy stuff too, his Pluto was in his 7th house, I'm pretty sure he was fairly abusive.jimi Hendrix was also a sag
I personally know quit a few Sagittarius who display a darker and very mischievous side. theres this wildness inside sag that's so intriguing to me, it's what's so attractive about the sign I think..

Yep, this is exactly what I noticed...that Sag can do taboo / creepy things openly and still not be "seen". There are sag ppl mentioned that are not Scorpio influenced but these two certainly are. They are Plutonic Sagittarians and yes the clothing is a dead giveaway. The Venus, Moon, and Pluto in Scorpio are touching everything. Mars in Aries only makes them that much bolder with their taboo behavior and eccentricity. If you click the instagram video you will see the dominant/submissive dynamic playing out between them. The more aggressive brother even captioned the image referring to his twin as his friend, mirror, bxtch, and his motherfxcker. Who does that? His bxtch? Really? And the mvtherfxer part
just didn't even make sense. The whole thing is abusive and disgusting. It disappoints me because I actually liked their dancing (not the incest stuff).

Anyway, with Sag I just started seeing one too many things and something sort of just clicked. Oh and you are right Jim was REALLLLYYY wild and pretty esoteric. Most Sag ppl are esoteric but again most don't notice b/c of how playful we are lol

Ozzy Osbourne has known some infamy in his day, and had a lot of lies told about him (you'd think the truth would be enough, but naw, it has to be embellished). The bat thing doesn't bother me much as he thought it was a prop (and IIRC, he panicked and went to the hospital, canceling the rest of the concert, as he was terrified of having contracted rabies), but he does seem to get a free pass on trying to kill his wife:

I've always admired and envied Sagittarius-influenced individuals because of this exact concept you described.

Maybe it has something to do with my mars in Sagittarius in the 7th conjunct Pluto. Sagittarius also rules my 8th with Jupiter conjunct my Moon, Mercury, Venus.

Sagittarius men and women have always been fascinating to me because they're so evil in relationships, but people love them regardless! I nevee understood this. Meanwhile, you have a bitter Scorpio stellium woman (ME) who craves love and affection, but runs everybody away. I crave the love Sagittarius runs from. They are so independent, but men and women flock to them just the same.

In this way, I see the human-animal archetype.

They defy social norms in relationships. They never commit. They sort of coexist individually with others. It's fascinating to watch as someone with an opposite emotional nature.

Sagittarius men and women treat their mates as friends, but somehow get rewarded for this behavior even though it's not acceptable when in a committed relationship. Their lower self is noncommittal, flighty, and rebellius but their higher self is vibrant, loving, and spontaneous so it's hard to stay mad at these people. I really have a love- hate thing going on.

Had no idea he tried to kill his wife. Seems he does get a free pass on it b/c I heard about the bat thing yet heard nothing of that. Yes, I saw that he thought it was an accident (and did get shots) but it's still odd that a grown man would put a random object thrown on stage into his mouth. Weird things like that are done but Sag is loved nontheless.

I'll never forget the time my Sag Dad broke into our home (violating a restraining order), I thought he was going to kill me and Mom both. Perhaps he would've had things gone different (and had he not been so drunk). He did get taken to jail that day and that action certainly cost him in divorce court, but that's about it (and most of the time cops ignored his violating the restraining order, but that's pretty usual for about anyone).

And Mom won his beloved car from him just to hurt him. I was in the car when the brakes went out while Mom was driving on the highway. The brake pad was found to have been heavily damaged (that is, the car was sabotaged), and Dad was known to work on that car a lot (part of why he loved it so). Dad's mother says my dad got questioned by some cops after that but the cops never came back while Dad said no cops asked him about it at all, so I'm not sure what to think, other than he's lucky to have not served time over that.

But funny story, IMO, I asked him about it when I was 21 hoping to get the truth (statutes of limitations was up, and I genuinely didn't care--can't call it Sag magic since I overlook most of the bad my Scorpio Mom has done as well), and he got acutely uncomfortable. Seeing that I wasn't going to get anything, I dropped it and tried to find a way to connect with him, but the only thing we had in common was an interest in target shooting. So I asked him if he'd like to go shooting with me, either targets, or maybe a clay shoot (I'd imagined at a gun range, though I didn't say that, thinking it was obvious)...he blanched and actually stuttered out a refusal, and was was so uncomfortable that I cut the visit short.

My friend who was with me said my offering to go shooting with him immediately after talking about the time the brakes went out on his beloved car while I was in it freaked him out pretty bad (my own mother also tried to shoot him once, but she was either too drunk or ignorant to do it right). Perhaps that's why he's always treated me cautiously since then, he thinks I'm out for revenge.

This is a fascinating topic, thinking of the Sagittarians I know,
I can see what you're saying. I'd never heard of those brothers, I think their act looks disgusting. Thankfully I've never had a romantic relationship with a Sag.

This may sound crazy but I am a Sag that actually finds myself envious of other Sag ppl sometimes lol. I'm a Plutonian Sagittarius, so while I do have many Sag qualities I am also a lot like what you described of yourself. My Scorpio Ascendant does not make me very friendly nor approachable in person. I'm sporty (like a Sag) but quiet and reserved (like a Scorpio). My 8th house moon is a bit too obsessive / passionate in love and it scares people. The Sag in me is definitely there though and I am more than guilty of leaving ppl to wonder where I stand. Basically it creates a person that dreams of finding one love to spend all of eternity with, but is so paranoid of being tied down to the wrong one that I find it difficult to commit. I won't see or even think about another person during my "why do we have to put a title on it" rants but I still fear sealing the deal.

I don't think you should envy Sag though. Our behavior can catch up with us in less obvious / public ways. I admire Scorpio types and honestly believe the person that I will spend eternity with will be a Scorpio or Scorpio / Pluto dominant.

@ PixieJane

Wow that's some wild stuff. I think he definitely thought you were out for revenge. I'm a Sag and I'm actually pretty vindictive, but it sort of haunts us. For example, I've done so many payback acts that if I so much as can't find my earring I wonder if someone has it out for me hahaha. Not sure if that is Sag or my other placements but based on your dad I think it's been confirmed. Nobody ever actually does though, as I always find out I was over-thinking.

Yeah.... I fit in this. Add to my Sagitarrius Sun a Pluto that is conjunct and a secretive Scorpio mercury and you got a secret weirdo no one knows.
I always come across as innocent and meek. Profesorrs often comment that i am "too meek". They have no idea.

All Sagitarrius folks surrender to one side. Black or white. Im something inbetween, more on the Black side even if my mask is white.

Ive done things no one coould imagine im capable of, because i seem so weak and lame-ish. Nothing bad, just out of The ordinary for my physical age. No harm involved though.

I was always imune to violence/aduse. I explored a lot of my animalic side and i know its there. When i was 13 i actually tested myself to see how far i can go with real abuse. Watched slaughter houses work, made me sad and stopped and instead focused on graphic violent deaths of people. I Watched the entire slaughtered vomit dolls trilogy that is increddibly graphic and bloody. Famous srpski film. Melancolie der eengel. And i.didn’t even flinch. I went deeeper to actual videos of people killed în prisons, that had their neckk cut slowly, Again nothing.

It probably also has to do with my soldier past life. Its my latest one. I was în the invasion of Crimeea and there was a lot of abuse.

Yet still, from a young age i discovered many things myself and it all came naturally to me. Death, my own spirit trapped here, sex. I admit im a very sexual individual too but i wont go în detail with this

Yay for saggi's

It certainly is isn't it? And yeah at this point I wish I have never heard of them. I can't "unsee" the images in my head

Their dance acts tend to be really fascinating with amazing skill and synchronization. BUT THEN out of nowhere they will randomly do something incestuous and disturbing. I don't care how good they dance I can't support that.

As for dating, I often wonder what it would be like to date a Sag guy (I've only ever been with Pisces and Leo), but it seems very scary. They are just too wild and uninhibited. I'm very attracted to Sag males but it's just never happened. I'm pretty sure I'll be with a Scorpio or some earth sign in the end.

Ok let me pause for a moment.....

Ok I'm ready now. I'm very glad that I brought up this topic b/c it is helping me to understand so much about Sagittarius. I am a more reserved / quiet Sag type (Scorpio Asc, 8th house moon, etc.) so I could identify with people not being able to imagine some of the things you've done. The secrecy.

We both have Pluto conj. Sun, for me it's in the sign of Scorpio. You having this in the sign of Sag can cause all kinds of extremes. Sag represents expansions and when coupled with Pluto it's no laughing matter. Unlike a Plutonic Scorpio, a plutonic Sag has the ability to totally detach which is dangerous. Avoid watching those films and getting involved in anything too crazy. Your exterior may appear non-threating to others at times but you know better than anyone that your inner-self loves all kinds of thrills, tests, and excesses of all kinds.

I won't say in what way, but I used to test my pain tolerance as well and know exactly what is being described. I was a very disturbing child all together and have come a long way. Don't get lost in your secret world, as it can be hard to find your way back.

Remember, people don't know about this dark side of Sag so you end up having to secretly fix all of these things alone.

Then you better be careful of the Sag woman with Venus in Capricorn. She will radiate a sophisticated Saturn disposition / composure but really be a wild Sag inside. However by the time you see that it would be too late lol

I thank you for making this topic. My progressed Ascendant has been Sagittarius since I was like 3 and I just never understood that. When my mother told me my birth time I would get angry every time my Ascendant came up as Sagittarius, because I didn't relate to typical descriptions. Sagittarius still covers most of my 1st house even though I've rectified my chart to make my Ascendant Scorpio instead. In my defense, transits seem to be well-timed to events in my life and many of the ones I found wouldn't have shown up as accurately if I didn't rectify my chart.

Anyway, more on subject, the Sagittarian dark side is almost never mentioned anywhere. Cookbook interpretations say things about them that get overshadowed by positive traits. This used to bother me and until the very moment I read this thread Sagittarius was my least favorite zodiac sign.

I am now beginning to view Sagittarius in a different light. I don't hate the sign anymore, because their flaws have been exposed and now I know that there's more to them than what I read about in most interpretations of this sign.

Omg this drives me crazy! They're so much more political than Capricorn is and never get called out on it. I can see through many of the Sag people I meet, many people in general - by that I mean I can tell if they're just unaware of what they're doing or not. Anyway one guy with a Sag rising and Sag moon eeeeeeveryone loves and just supports him and he's got all these friends, but there is something dark about him. I can see it and it drives me nuts other people can't or won't see it too! He's got a temper for sure and I'm certain cutting him out of my life and moving on is saving me from a disaster down the line. He's an Aries sun at that.

USA has a Sag ascendant.... (LL Chart does too).

Maybe instead of fostering open-arms generosity, and good-neighbor good Will kind of world citizenship and internationality, .. of trying to be the Peace negotiators among talks in the nations, we should be just bombing the ass off people, and cutting them off?....

~Oh!, wait-a-minute wait-a-minute!!? We have a great split in our Soul, a dark divide, a dark-side within political movements whose intention it is (some consciously, and others being hood-winked into) to want to accomplish just-that!

Yes! There is definitely a "moral high ground" mode and a IDGAF mode lol. Visceral...yep, that's the word. Hmmm....SOME of us do self-destruct but it's a minority. Look at Sinead, Raven Symone, or Lisa Fischer. However, to be fair, I think it came more so from feeling inhibited and NOT being able to push boundaries the way they wanted to.

Ted Bundy....
Edmund Kemper....

Um....yeah, it can get to that point.

There's an unbridled energy in them. In "moral high ground" mode, it's used for driving their latest pet cause. Otherwise it becomes an outward expression of eff-you-i'm-gonna-do-whatever-the-hell-i-want.
There's a part of them that's very visceral, not cerebral. But they do not self-destruct while pushing the boundaries of what's "acceptable" - as many people end up doing. Maybe it has something to do with Jupiter? They feel (and to some extent, are) invincible, in a way.

Would like to say more, but gtg for now..

P.S. Ted Bundy was a Sag.. (mentioning only 'coz it's relevant to your thread ). So is Edmund Kemper. There are others, but these two stand out as significantly violent..
