North Node in Capricorn in the 8th:-

Bored? Nothing like a good book.

Thanks BM!

Very interesting words to contemplate.

Oh! And a Nymph Librarian...well that would satisfy both my Mercury chart ruler, and my Mars in Scorpio!

As I have to get back to basics and apply knowledge on a daily level, we are happily in tune.

And, you will be surprised at what I think and know.

That's a quote from my nodes description.

My NN is conjunct my Mars. So slide over here, and give me this moment.. you're one of my kind. Etc.

How do you keep from asking the smart question?

I had an issue at work today where I asked a good question to an appropriate person who then gave me instruction which I ignored in an attempt to maintain normalcy in my process. I ignored the instruction, because I thought my bosses would think I was overthinking things, and causing more work than necessary. Of course, the person I initially asked received my file, and then wondered why I didn't follow her instructions, and she told my supervisor what happened and my supervisor got on my case about it. I've explained why it happened that way to her, but if I had simply been mediocre this could have been avoided altogether.

Update: I emailed my supervisor with the reason things went down the way they did, and she understood, so that was good.

I think in retrospect that maybe I should have just gone to my supervisor in the first place (with the question) that way if there was an issue it could have been between her and the other person I asked instead of involving me.

My NN is conjunct my Jupiter as you probably know.

Aquarius NN has to get back to basics and apply knowledge on a daily level? That sounds a bit Virgoan.

I like your INXS line.

Why should you lower you standards for the sake of office politics?

Does it make me look like a stalker because I have a copy of your chart on my hard drive? I'd like to think it is taking an interest more than stalking.

Today was my Venus Return. It was more like my birthday than my birthday. Venus deposits just about everything on my chart including the Sun, maybe that's why or maybe it is my imagination and the hazy sunshine.

I ate cherries whilst driving one-handed through country lanes, sat and watched water spilling over rocks in the weir of a market town and bought a new summer dress I didn't need.

Oh, and did I forget to say I got whistled at by a man climbing into a lorry. If the vanity of Venus creeping in a bit there, it's only because I saw strands of grey hair shining in the wing mirror of my car.

Sometimes being mediocre is being more productive (at my job).

No, it doesn't make you look like a stalker at all. And if I thought you didn't have it, I'd have given my details.

What? Come to the Premiere with you Christian? Well, I was going to remove the fleas from the dog, but, if you say that you've got no-one else. Yeah, okay, whatever.

Nah, don't take off the gear, I like a bit of dress up.

Englishmen can sometimes drift into an uptight poncing about vibe that sets my teeth on edge. Not Christian, he's not got this problem.

"What don't you effin' understand?"

Quite so, quite so.

Student to Master "fighting your way into the bits you need". ***takes notes***

Someone has rattled you. Nothing Christian couldn't fix in that outfit. See, it can come in handy on - I can see that.

I'm not sure that uptight poncing is confined strictly to Englishmen. Personally, I prefer the explosiveness of "what don't you effin' understand" to the passive-aggressive psychological warfare of mind reading too. At least you know where you stand. No bu11shit. Game playing is something that doesn't interest me.

BM,

Tell me more about what you think of the 7th. It almost seems to receive as much crap as Libras. Are we projecting these things? Are we embracing these things? Are we more focused on others? Does the 7th reflect a side of ourselves that we show others in a different way (than what we might present with our 1st house stuff)?

Oh, it gets crap.

In the spirit of co-operation the 7th house Venus coaxes and diplomats its way through the world, and gets called upon to do likewise. It might accept when reluctant, if it gets asked nicely by someone it respects. It might do it when expedient, with a sense of reluctance but with a higher purpose in mind.

With Mercury as its partner, well you know, you know the kind of things you have to say and write to oil wheels, calm waters.

But then, with afflictions to the same, don't you also feel a resentment at times that you are being called upon to act the wh0re?

My Aqua Mars would rather not be so sweet sometimes, and tension does build up inside, as was the case this week after being called upon to soothe the egos of Alpha males. I didn't want to do it, but I took it for the cause.

The blue heart is for all of us 7th housers who get dragged into negotiate and placate. It's not always easy and is unlikely to get the recognition it deserves as work that takes effort. It really does take effort sometimes to be concillatory, especially when I'd rather tell someone to shut up and grow up. It can be hard.

p.s

It doesn't help with the inner tension situation that as I get older I am increasingly getting the 'soaking in someone else's energies' experiences. It can make me feel ill.

Another blue heart this one for the migraine headaches I am getting right now, I should thank you for asking these questions as it prompts me to think about it all and let it out and thus release some of the tension.

My pesky Libran Moon does make the negotiation instincts of the 7th even stronger (and aspects the Neptune in the 1st which may be significant). But I don't always like doing it.

Peace, I have just read your answer to the 7th house thread.

Libra Descendant Conjunct Uranus ~ it does sound like you, concilatory in a quirky way. It is all over the board, humour as a way to appease conflict. You give a lot to other people.

I don't know why 23 said you expect a lot and got a lot. Actually, I do, and of course, as you so rightly indicated, it was nothing about you at all but all about how she felt.
