The barman looks her up and down and says, "First off, it's bartender, not barfender. Second off, it's martini, not marhini. And third, you don't have heartburn, your boob is in the ashtray.

Hahaha.

He11 no. I have the right (it is my house and my life) to decide I no longer want that person as a guest or a friend. The same is true for a webmaster. This is Randall's site and while he has admitted to making mistakes and asking people back, he also has the right to ban people that are continuously going against the rules.

As for the jury. That sounds great in theory, however in the justice system there is a process called voir dire where prospective jury members are vetted for personal bias or association with the defendant. How would we possibly do that here? Anyone can go back and read the previous posts, get information on the person and then, based on peer pressure (and it does exist in the form of online cliques) decide to make a decision based not on facts or objectivity but on personal feelings and popularity. What would the appeals process be for the person that felt slighted or wrongly banned by their peers?

I, like other people, find this continued drama to be a bit exhausting. I can change that by not reading the threads that turn from a Happy B-day thread, into a rehash of all the perceived and actual wrongs done to any members for as long as this site has been in existence.

As to the constant and tired argument of freespeech in relation to this site I have one sentence "Asked and Answered" Randall has explained this a million times. WE have the choice to stay or to leave or to just take a break. Is LL a regime? I don't see it that way but I do see it as another entity that has rules. We have rules in our every day life and online that we must abide by or suffer the consequence. If I call a cop a stupid, pig and flip him / her off, I can get hauled in for my actions. If I am in class and I use my freespeech to call my professor a total moron, I can get kicked out of class.

Where in the world are people getting the idea that being online and on someone's site is any different?

Just didn't want the most rational thing I have ever read on this site to get buried among a bunch of breasts. That being said, carry on with the boobology.

I don't want to sideline the boobie montage, but Randall, that was nonsense. I would be happy to argue it, but I'll let the people have their way with the boobies.

I would just like to say that during a time in my life when I was severely depressed and traumatized, and in danger of eviction, I posted a thread asking for inspirational excerpts from books. Pire read the thread, which had turned into a conversation between myself and some female friends, and then he sent me (and my 7 year old daughter) enough for our rent through PayPal. He didn't even know me. He just wasn't about to let a mother and her child end up separated or on the street. He obviously handles his business well enough in the "real world" to be able to pay a stranger's rent. He also obviously has a huge heart and more character than I've seen from a lot of people here in a long time. And some of the women who helped me during that time are no longer here.

To the "new" people here -

figure out who you are talking to and what the hell you are talking about before you run your mouth, and then life and this spiritual space will become a lot smoother and lighter for all of us.

Exactly!

It is easy enough to embark upon passing judgement upon someone's character and maturity without even knowing them and without realising just how incredibly foolhardy such an enterprise is.

I'm horrified that this thread is this long; I posted when I was upset (about more than anything going on here), only to find that someone had been banned on what I understand to have been a rumour. I already posted in GU about that. I thought this thread would be locked, like the others (*if* anything happened for it to get out of hand, or if randall just came in to tell me to hush, and move on). I've only skimmed this last page, and the drama *is* exhausting. I didn't like the idea of someone being banned based on a rumour; I've been paying attention to other things, and was more than ready to move on, only to be faced with drama, from here, on flippin' Facebook, thanks to someone stirring - and obviously getting off on it.

This is what I just mentioned on Pluto's thread, about why this place can be so addictive. I didn't want to mention your name, but the thread can be found, unless it was lost in a glitch. (I can't find it on google, but just go back to the winter time, and scroll the threads next to Melody's name.)

Sorry for the interruption, I just wanted to apologize, explain a little, and respond to this post. On with the boobage...
