Just so you know, I have experience the life you are talking about, and the other side.

This is new, It just sounds normal because that is all I know how to use.

I am not "confused" about where I am.

Note: Saying this is "new" is more or less a lie in itself.

No problem!
It takes time to figure it out.
I think the trouble might be when you are trying to quote a person who is already quoting another.
I will make my next "test" post for you to quote using the quote button.

Also signature lines are done under your profile edit function.

Me too, but quoting someone already quoting is a mess.

The quote in brackets have to be added to each persons' words and the bolded needs redone to look right, or eliminated.

Like rajji quoting me in the post before yours.
The looks out of place because it being only a partial quote;
the at beginning was eliminated.

"As per the severity of the situation
lies become a big deal otherwise if it brings joy to others nobody would care.

A lie can work in both ways constructive and destructive."

That is more or less what I noticed happening, And I choose to go a different route than what everyone seemed to recommend.

I was aiming for complete removal. When I began work on this, It became obvious, that it is tied to many things in human life.

I do wonder if I am even on the same page as the rest of you. Or is there even such a thing as "Page"

If I make someone happy due to a lie, what does that do to me in return?

Guys listen, I am not saying there is no shade of grey here, People live in this are, wallow in it.

I am trying to explain that all those things, Failed for me.

I was forced, by self induced pressure, to grow out.

You see, I put MYSELF in check. It is constant work because "lies" are not the only thing I am actively trying to remove from my psyche.

Ideas are like life, You can not expect to "rip" something out, then expect good things to follow.

IF you remove, you must replace, what you replace, must work better than what you replaced.

Before I read the rest of the comments, I do have something to add.

TrueTaurus, I agree with you. Why bring the pain and the shame on a dying person concerning the knowledge one may have about their husband cheating on them in the past? The person does not need that pain to carry them through the death process as they are already dealing with other issues / pain.

As far as Karma- is it OUR karma to tell everyone everything we know? I have information about people that others have confided in me, is it MY duty to inform them in order to inflict pain? If it is something dangerous or could cause harm, yet, I would tell but in the same respect, it may not be my place to tell everyone, everything that I know.

I am of the belief that some to tell others things that are hurtful (because of the knowledged they gained) not because they feel it is their duty to "inform" but to stir the pot and cause trouble.

Lexx, you said (I should practice the quote button right now, but I'm in a hurry ) that you would rather tell the truth, or keep your mouth shut.
Mostly, I feel the same way, but I wonder in certain situations.. for ex.

If someone posts a pic, and they ask you, "do you think my child is cute?"
"Do you think I am pretty?"
"Do you think I am fat/skinny/whatever?"

See, the operative word there is THINK.
Because, even if we, as in the you and me's of the world, who would rather go about our business, keeping our mouths shut, we are probably still 'thinking' the answer right?

And there again, our particular 'thought' on these sorts of things is entirely subjective..
so for me,
that's where lying and not lying DOES include shades of gray.

There is just nothing darn wrong with manners, is what I say.
Generally, a person inherently knows the truth about these sorts of things..
that's my thought on it.

I would say your karma is what your conscious says it is.

But that is from my view, I do not have some of the things bogging me down, that you guys are expressing, so my "idea" of conscious may be wildly different from yours.

I ran for an absolute, even though I may never have it.
