You've opened up all your ideas and released a lot of energy into the Universe. There's a certain emotion connected with that. You're probably feeling a tad vulnerable from opening up. But it can be revitalising and self-affirming

I think you're right about opening up and feeling vulnerable. I say things here that I would not dare say in reality.

Very interesting discussion here. I have to read it all through more thoroughly though.

Personally I have become pretty interested in two myths again, the Persephone / Hades-myth and the Adonis / Aphrodite / Persephone-myth.

In the first myth there are different versions. In both versions Persephones is a maiden, staying with her mother Ceres, when Pluto falls in love with her and gets infatuated with her so much, that his passion knows no bounds.
In one version he abducts her into the underworld and rapes her.
In another version it is said that she goes with him quite voluntarily.
In both versions she becomes queen of the underworld, and nowwhere it is descirbed that she ever struggles to get away from him.
(Persephone / Proserpina: 26 and 399)

The second myth is about Adonis, who has two goddesses chasing him, Venus / Aphrodite and Persephone. Both fall helplessly in love with the beautiful youth and start fighting about who may "have" him.
In the end Jupiter decides that Adonis has to spend one third of the year with Persephone, one third with Aphrodite / Venus, and that he can do with the last third whatever he wants.

He ALWAYS chooses to be with Venus / Aphrodite. It is said that theirs was a spellbound magnetic love.
It seems that Persephone is the rival here, that has to lose in a way. She may spend some time with him, butz his heart goes out to Venus, as it seems.

I thought it might be interesting in our celebrity-crushs to see the connection, especially with Adonis, as he seems to signify what you are really enthralled with (interestingly Jude`s Moon is exactly conjunct my Adonis. ROFL).

OK DD, just for you (I'll do it even if I do feel a bit silly doing it). I've mentioned this before:

JT Draco ASC 17° 7’50" Libra
23 Karma 19°38’46 Libra

JT Adonis 20°26’21"Lib

23 Moon 20°39’ 8"Libra

JT Hera 20°51’12" Libra

23 Jupiter 17°50’45" Aries
23 Taylor 20°42’ 8" Aries
JT Proserpina 22° 7’26" Can

That's just stuff that I have bothered to look up, there's a lot of other stuff at lower degrees of Libra too in Draco.

Otherwise, other interesting things are:

23 Adonis 0°31’20"Sag
JT Pluto 3°54’19" Virgo
My Adonis opposes his Sun-Mars midpoint by 2 deg, his Mars-Venus midpoint by 3 deg.

JT Aphrodite 14°12’41" Sag rx (opposes my Mars exactly and conj my Neptune).
23 Union 16°51’24"Sag
23 Taylor 17°22’37 Sag rx
JT Johnny 17°22’36" Sag rx
JT Juno 17°43’47"Sag rx

23 Aphrodite 21°51’29" Sag square his NN

Interesting. Having a quick look. Christian and Colin's Pluto are both conjunct my Persephone.

Oh, lol, I liked that one.

Someone somewhere will read your rants and it will get them thinking. That one, me, I've just got up and I need a brain kickstart.

I may seem like a slacker posting on here all the time, but the more I write here, the sharper my communication gets elsewhere, on things I'm supposed to be writing.

Can anyone get up and start reading through 18th century manuscripts? I can't. I need 2 workers cups of tea and some LL fix.

I'm not sure if celebrities are literally accessible, they are accessible because media promotes them and we feel that they have come to us and developed a personal relationship with us.

I think the media part of accessible is the most apt, in the sense that we all know who they are, and when we speak about them they become global village gossip.

I don't have a relationship with any of these people, I've never met them or talked to them, I only know them through their work. Sometimes it is the character I connect to more than the actor or whatever. Sharpe, classic case in point. That's my idea of a man.

quote:
In reality, they would be hard to track down of course and their image might not match their reality.

Very true.

But does it matter? Not for me, it's just harmless escapist fantasy. Safer than fantasising about the postman, for example, I could get speaking to him and start a whole pile of trouble.

quote:
I often walk through the streets and might see the occasional attractive person but more often than not the sensation isn't as confronting as seeing the hot celebrity the first time.

Sorry, the opposite way around for me. I like Beanie, I might see someone else in a film and think, mmm, very nice, and great performance. But it doesn't compare to that strange moment on the tube when you see someone, look in their eye and ... feel like it is better for everyone when they get off at the next stop.

I say things on here I would say on a girls' night out, just politer. It's a virtual bar, or cafe, a bit early to start drinking.

Yes, agreed. Mentioned that before about acting out in reality being dangerous. For me, it does matter re fantasy. I've got some repression issue there I think, as I said, my Neptune is opp my Mars, which is in Gem, OOB and chart ruler. Also my Merc is in Aqu opp Saturn - keeping it real and logical.

Actually I'll take that back what I said. I agree with you, it is better in reality. I was thinking of the person time I saw celebrity crush and comparing it to everyday occurrences.
In reality, I avoid making deep eye contact with people because of this situation, it's the frozen Aqu within me, conceal at all cost if I find someone attractive and don't acknowledge if they find me attractive. I also find it my duty esp since I'm involved with another. However, I have had similar situations in the past where yes, it was intense.

Neptune and Mars are Quintile on my chart ~ so I find this kind of fantasy escapism is a creative aid.

Quintiles are tricky numbers. Like Grand Trines. Getting them moving. When talking to Miss Meta, bold there so she will be able to flick through and read it, where she has a leaning towards Cardinal and Fixed, I have a leaning towards Fixed and Mutable. There is a lot on my chart that is indicative of my inertia problems.

I don't feel I am wasting my time on this thread at all. It pulls things into focus.

23,

seeing the connections with Adonis I am not surprised that you`re "spellbound" by him.
Add Pluto to this and it gets even more intense.

PA,

interesting about that Pluto-Persephone-link. Funny enough, Rafe`s Pluto is almost exactly conjunct my Persephone, which falls - oh how fittingly - in the maidenly sign of Virgo. ROFL

there are some other connection as well.
For example his Dr Persephone conjuncts my Adonis.

Also, something t hat I didn`t notice yesterday.
My Dr Pluto and Aphrodite doesn`t only fall onto his SN but also onto his DR Nessus!
It really ties into what you said about the past life.

I do believe in past lives, but in the end it doesn`t really matzter, if it was a real past life or if this is just a way to put our emotions and inner pictures into words.

Meta,

I agree, I cannot feel any connection to RDJ and Jude in THAT particular imagery we develped here.

DD - so he is Adonis, he plays that role to my Moon. So my Moon would get "enthralled"? Wouldn't he choose my Moon and like it?

I was wondering about Nessus. You probably read my post a few days back re it. So is it right to say that Nessus is like the ugly duckling, or Frankenstein in us? The bits that we find unattractive in ourselves and seek validation from others?

My Nessus is 2 deg from his Sun, 3 from his Venus, 3 by opp to his Jup.

EDIT - I just realised that my Adonis is a few deg away from his Nessus in opp. I've always the loved the clutzy geek in him, maybe that's what it is, the acceptance of this through the opposition. Also his Nessus is a few deg from my Ceres.

DD - do you use Pholus? I find it interesting re turning points in life.

Repression & her best friend Self-Control

I don't think I'm repressed. I think I'm self-controlled. Maybe the line is more blurred than that and I am flattering myself, there's a chance.

My good friend

Chart ruler, twin to the Moon, is working in harmony with Saturn on my chart. This is my sensible side, reponsible, mature, "now calm down mother, you are getting yourself upset", that kind of thing. Actually she is Leo Sun with Cancer Venus. Oh, I know those temperamental Lions alright.

But this is another one for Miss Meta, there is a dangerous side to the chart where

is in Sesquiquadrate to Moon/Pluto.

I'm still working out what the Sesquiquadrate is all about, but I think that is the potential for temper rage that I try and avoid. It's a powder keg, that shouldn't be lit. To make fireworks, not a gun. Finding a way to channel that energy is essential. Creativity is very helpful for that, see Quintiles above.

They all tie in ~ the Sesquiquadrate, to the Quntiles (to Neptune and Jupiter) to Sextiles. One of those easy to hide parts of the chart I am still working on, really. Tapping into the energy in a positive, constructive way, not allowing it to carry me along in ways that are destructive.

Well, can you look at your Pluto, SAturn and Nessus-aspects with him? Like I did with mine?

Will add Persephone to include tonight's discussion. Plus anything I think is relevant for this particular study.

Tropical:

His Psyche & Moon conjunct my Aphrodite.
His Persephone conjunct my Saturn - looks a good 3 degrees.
My Perephone trine his Saturn.
His Pluto square my Nessus.
His Nessus opposite my Uranus.
His Pluto conjunct my SN.
His Karma trine my Karma.
His Psyche & Moon conjunct my Aphrodite.
His Saturn square my Saturn.
His Aphrodite trine my Pluto.
His Venus, Neptune, Eros & Adonis opposite my Mars & Detinn.
His Psyche & Moon opposite my Saturn.

Draco:

Jumping right off the page is Rafe's Nessus conjunct my Eros.

His Nessus conjunct my MC.
His Destinn conjunct my Nessus.
His Persephone opposite my Nessus.
His Karma & Mars are conjunct my Chiron & AC.
His Uranus conjunct my Karma.
His Pluto conjunct my Mercury.
His Karma & Mars opposite my Persephone, DC and Uranus.
His Saturn conjunct my Pluto.
His Nessus square my Persephone.
His Persephone trine my Psyche, Karma & Sun.
His Pluto conjunct my Venus - about 4-5 degrees.
His Saturn trine my Mars & Destinn.

Geez - that's not a walk in the park is it!

There's an enormous difference between controlling your emotions and suppressing them.

EDIT: Do you ever just want to let loose?

I have Saturn opposite Jupiter. So I have this constant battle of discpline vs anarchy. I like my freedom - and I like my freedom of expression. Hard one to balance. Because that's what that is about - balance. Maybe even controlling rather than suppressing.

Do you think Zach is Pisces Moon or Aqu Moon? I think by the first photo, Aqu Moon. He does come across as a bit zany.
