I still wondering about the fox because I asked about soulmate so I do have to see in a different light. it could be positive but I have to read in a different way.

But regarding garden and ring together, it does make me think it may mean engagement or wedding.. something that is open to the public. But I wonder how that fit in with soulmate. If dog or tree shown up, it would of been straight forward but the combinations are hard for this.

Re fox: I just looked online and another meaning is un-traditional. So it's referring to an unconventional relationship (the age difference?)

So it's an unconventional social connection (fox - garden - ring).

I forgot that fox means to not believe, to feel like you can't trust. That's how I feel right now. The birds could mean feeling doubtful..

It seems that the 4 of pentacles may indicate someone is afraid to open up.. they may seem closed off at first because they may not trust too soon.. but it seems that someone will be trying to weigh up the choices on if they should start to become closer or not. Or maybe they will be trying to make a decision on if they should show their caring and emotional side. So I see that the 4 of pentacles can point to either of you and that person is afraid to let go because they may get hurt again (that's what they could be thinking).. but they have to really sit down and figure out on if they should be open again or stay the same.

I agree with your penultimate paragraph. If you try to think about whether soul mates and past lives exist and how much proof you need, then it is crazy-making so just keep an open mind, so true.
