Hi Yes I would like to continue. I wasn't sure about the cards I picked today, not sure what's happening. Maybe I'm just having a bad day. I was not sure about the cards I picked for him anyway so I'm not surprised it didn't match.

I was just referring to the above lists which says Lilith for whip/rod.

Anyway please leave questions and I will leave some when I finish eating. Thank you v much!

I am not sure about what other method to use for chart, but what I've noticed is, every time I do a 3rd party reading it's either confusing or not accurate. And some people say it's not ethical so I don't prefer those.

Edit: For a question, Maybe you can try and find some information about my chart, like what planets in which signs and houses. Anything you can find.

You were no wrong for the Asc, just like i think it is. But i can be wrong Maybe you have just pick what i think about

I understand you for 3rd party... but i think it isn't a good thing the card can stay without saying anything or something wrong. Sometime when i have a doubt, i ask before to the cards if they want to answer me on the question If it say NO i don't make it

My questions for you to pratice
1) Did I graduate successfully last year and had a training course?
Are there any fish in my house?
Do I like exotic food ?
What are my expectations for this year?

Waiting for yours !

Actually that's a good idea, I will do that in future.

Thinking.

1) What is the weather like this weekend (where I live)

2) How many siblings do I have and are they male or female (if they exist)

3) Did I move house (my home) in the last year?

Well I thought I could try the easy question about the fish.

I got bear - book - paths clarified by stars and scythe.

So first when I looked at your question I assumed you did have fish. Then I drew the cards and I didn't see the fish. Then I looked up which card represents Pisces and it's the book.

So can I say yes to this?

Hi tntl,

I had some trouble connecting today but just wanted to check. I thought it was yes to the plants and no to the dog. Is that correct?

I did start looking at some videos about how to read these cards( venus in gemini , loves to learn) So the end card is the result of the yes\no question? then the other two are more like additional details to the end result ? Like the dog is the end result to my question(is he my future husband) hmmm... he ends up being a friend but a loyal friend. Heart and stork ( love evolving or love changing?) How does your technique work, is it the same as what I watched? Ummm... I can see him being a friend even a very good friend( someone to talk to ) but it will never be anything for marriage. He is already taken, I found this out after I asked the question. ( 3 hearts, use judgement and watch facts?)

Hi Awaken,
Sorry to disappoint you, but...

1) This weekend we are having a heat wave. It is extremely hot and sunny. (I live in Australia - it's summer here). I guess we could say the mice and cloud are causing discomfort.

2) I have two siblings. I don't think there is any loss but I haven't had contact with one sibling, I assume they are still alive though. I am not close to them. I wonder if that's what it was trying to say. Do you think we need to draw more cards? I was trying to keep it simple (book says to start with triplets).

3) Yes I moved home about 8 months ago. I guess the stork should have showed up? Are the birds flying? I don't know what these cards mean. Mice could mean the usual discomfort associated with moving.

Hi Butterfly,
I guess techniques vary from reader to reader. I'm learning from a book and it says that the first card is the subject and the second two cards are descriptors. I was trying to practice a yes/no technique as in the book where all 3 cards are given equal weight but it doesn't seem to be working so I am aborting that.

Re the heart evolving, could that be referring to the change in the relationship where you previously regarded him as a significant other but now since he is taken he can only be a friend (dog?)

Still, dog is a nice card to have. It can represent a variety of things but chiefly a helpful supportive friend who benefits you. I had not been regarding the third card as a result though, it seems like all of them are the result (it's not like tarot, as I'm learning).

For the finer points, a tarot reading might be more useful I think. It seems to be that Lenormand is good for every day mundane items, finding things, quick short answers. Unless we're talking grand tableau but that is advanced and I'm not there yet.

Thank you Magikaal
I guess I do not have a good point with the Leno!
The more I try more it is bad and I can not figure out the meaning of the cards.
I think putting it to rest until some changes.
I definitely love my tarot to make my readings. Leno readings are still very interesting when I have some readings for me
It's time for me to have a rest now. Read yours tomorrow!

Hi tntl,
Sorry for the delay, I feel a bit better today, not sure what happened yesterday.

Today I decided to do a 5 card spread (haven't really done this before).

I drew Garden - Stork - Anchor - Clover - Moon.

The clover jumped out a little because I drew it yesterday when trying to read. The moon and garden signifies the situation, is it that you are going to study somewhere, in a group? The stork and clover signifies movement around the stable anchor. So it feels like your situation is not going anywhere at the moment but there is this positive change around you. Admittedly clover means short term luck or a small window of opportunity. I'm not sure if that means something to you. In summary, all the cards are neutral to positive. I especially like the stork and clover together showing things moving in your favor, a positive thing. I think your chances are good. Is this a program you really desire truly, like a heartfelt decision? Yesterday I resorted to my tarot deck as clarifier and I remember the Princess of Swords saying to get clear on what you really want. Do you have enough money to do this program? (I drew fish and heart as clarifiers).

I feel quite positive about this spread. I would say, be patient and let things unfold. Am curious about the clover significance though. The best of luck to you!

Hi Awaken,

I answered two more questions. Leaving the third for now because it looks complicated.

For exotic food I drew Letter - Key - Scythe - Fish - Stork
The fish and stork suggested you liked food that was far away (like moving away to eat fish) and there is the key which usually means the answer is yes. I interpreted the scythe as the end of a sentence so it's saying just look at the cards before. With the note I'm not sure but with a key it means a message. Anyway I will answer yes.

Re graduation and training course
I had to do this twice because the first time it didn't make sense. I got bear and child in the reading with sun in the middle next to rod. When I saw rod I thought it meant doing something repetitively. Like work/study? The bear and child to me meant a change like becoming mature. And maybe the child is learning, so it signifies you become like 'a child' but only in the sense of starting something. The second time I got bear as the first card again. I got sun again next to the bear.
bear - sun - tower - man - birds
So the sunny man shows up, along with those birds as conversation. As clarifiers the second time i got garden and book which signified studying. And sun seems like a successful card. When paired with book it means success in study.

I was thinking about what the bear means. One meaning is power. So you became more powerful in your life. So I'd say this is a yes which seems like a good answer

Hi Magikaal !

I really like reading your answers to my questions, I think for the time being this is how I learn best since I have the answers and I can see the cards you have drawn. I think you have a very good fluid for the Leno draw.
So for the first spread it's a YES. Great
In my book:
- stork is about the meaning of "going away" among other things
- Scythe: "what cuts" so what "changes"
- Letter: "a message coming from abroad or from a distance"
- Key: "opening to other things"
- fish: "Travel" among others ...
So it all makes sense! Great !

I take a look for my second question but it's really good I think...

@Magikaal

For the second I understand that it could be difficult ... I had very good success for the same qualification. So I completed a complementary training of my studies and complete my current work (new qualification). In parallel, I successfully obtained a university degree which attests to my new competence.
- bear: "Improve life, make it more comfortable, have new financial gains ..."
- child: "Success in the work that brings satisfaction to one's desires". I also suppose that it can be "to find something that one liked before being an adult": I loved my university course and to learn during my studies, so I found this also
- sun: "message or call that will make your career take off": I received by mail from my university director that I had succeeded with great success!
- rod: "you know how to fight in life for what you want" "to be smart and make a good living": it was a challenge for me and this new degree can help me improve my financial situation with my work
I take a little time now for the last part of the reading and I will put it here in add, in case my computer decides to take rest on its own!

Add :
For the third part
Bear - sun (book) - tower - man - birds (I do not know where your garden clarifier was positioned.
- Bear and sun: yes on success that gives greater professional opportunities
- tower: "you have built a socio-professional situation with seriousness and foresight on solid foundations" (theme: material plan in my book)
- Man / Sun: he was a catalyst for my success ...
- Birds: I guess it's about our conversations and the impact they've had for me.
-Sun / book: yes success "in the studies"
- garden: "success..."

Thanks for all this! I like to discover all this with you

Thanks Awaken! Your feedback is very helpful.

I've been reading about combining tarot with lenormand. I might try this for your last question. Not sure if I will have time today though. I liked what CafeLenormand described on their website so I will try that.

And thanks for explaining the man, I wasn't sure who he was. But it makes sense the way you said it. And I really like what you said about the child.

Are you getting the quotes from your book? What book is it?

And also, many congratulations on your hard work (and success)

Thank you MagiKaal !

I would be very interested in your reading with combining. I looked at cafeleno, the combining are interesting but I like when there is a certain density of informations to know intuitively which one would be more appropriate for reading ... I can't wait to see how you use this. But take your time

Yes, the interpretations come from my book. There is more informations but you will have to use a translator because it's in French. I wanted a French book for the Leno (because it's French ...) and I chose an official box with original cards but the interpretations sometimes seem different from the informations found on English or other sites ... This leaves me confused sometimes. I give you the references, you can find it easily on web I think: the official "cartomacie box: the little Lenormand - l'officiel "le coffret de la cartomacie : le petit Lenormand - livre + jeu original" Editions Tragectoire (the cards are very small ...).

What deck do you use for the Leno?

I have the Blue Owl which is supposed to be a traditional one I think from Germany. The instruction booklet is in German which I can't read, lol. I asked my tarot deck to pick from a few that I could not decide between. It picked best cards for the Blue Owl so I got it. It is pretty good, clear pictures except for the coffin which confused me initially. And I like that it doesn't have words, it's just pictures which I feel stimulates intuition more somehow.

I think it is good you got the French one. *Edit: will be interesting to see how that differs to the German. Because I think they are slightly different, according to what I read?

I also bought a book, it's the one by Caitlin Matthews Complete Lenormand Oracle Handbook. Again I asked tarot to pick for me, it was a choice between her and Rana George's book. It is making me think, it has lots of exercises with answers. It's like a textbook. Not fun to read, but it does make me think. She has some interesting information like the meanings relating to lost objects. But the yes/no technique didn't work for me but maybe that's good because this way I have to think a bit more (and learn more).

I think I have an ebook somewhere which has traditional meanings of the cards, it was simple and easy to understand. Now I can't remember where I have it, have to go look

However with Caitlin's book, for each card she lists its meanings as a noun, also adjective and adverb. I think she did this well. Because the first exercise in reading she says to read in threes, to use the first card as the noun and the 2nd and 3rd to describe the noun. I did that for a while and now I just started the 5 card spread. I hope you see how this is working.

I notice that everyone has a slightly different twist on meanings. And I rather liked that the ebook that I got, it had the simple traditional meanings. When I first started it was easy to get confused. But I think afterwards you just build on that.

For example, TREE means health usually. In this thread further up a poster asked me about plants. Twice I drew the tree. So I thought, well a tree can't be in her room, so can tree mean plant? The closest comparison I could find was 'life form' or similar. So I thought about it and reckoned it could be a plant. (It was)

Today I was looking up bear. I looked up the meaning not only in my book but online as well. Not everyone agrees so I am interested in range of meanings, for reference.

Edit: Anyway, I guess the important thing is what the cards mean in your life, right? So one technique from my book which I think is good is to draw 3 cards for yourself every day and then see how that relates to your life. I haven't been doing it every day lol but it is very helpful to me. As well as this thread, with you it is doubly helpful
----------------------

OK, here is bear in my book (most of it, it is quite long)

Noun - strength, power, force, benefits, capital, affluence
Adjective - Big, large, overwhelming, dominant, obese
Adverb - Strongly, overwhelmingly
Verb - protect, empower, resource, accumulate
People - director, matron, benefactor, boss, mother, grandmother
Timing - not for a long time
Lenormand Universe: Force of Fate (non traditional, from author's own practice)

For me, I find keywords easier to remember rather than a phrase at this moment.

Magikaal !

Thank you very much for your references and your explanations. I greatly appreciate the generosity of our exchanges and also what you give me to learn.

I made some readings with ILP as well and she approaches the tree as "something growing continuously" especially in links or "the past".
If she joined us it would be great! I gona ask her

Your deck looks a bit like mine, but it's different in the pictures, the style is similar.

I will look at the books you give me and I will still give you the meanings that I get as our readings, as long as you are not tired of that

Have a good evening and see you soon
