Oh, one more thing. Marianne Williamson was talking on how she used to "fight" for peace. She said that a voice came to her and said, "You aren't a Dove, you are a Hawk" and she had to face the truth of what she had become.

You all wouldn't be so drawn to interact with each other over at Global Unity if you didn't have lessons to learn from each other.
Both sides are extreme and both need to find balance. You are there to teach each other AND to learn from each other. Not just teach or just learn. Open your minds and hearts and communicate your thoughts in a way that shares and teaches instead of demanding others believe your version of the truth. If someone throws some unreasonable tantrum, just ignore them until they calm down and start treating everyone with respect again.

We all have a lot to share. Fighting is sharing and learning too, but I prefer learning through love.

By degrading Muslims and their beliefs and insinuating that all or most Muslims, and people in those countries where war is taking place are extremists and want to "kill or convert the infidels." Just who are the extremists you keep talking about? Gosh this is deja vu!

You can argue I'm creating drama if you'd like. I personally don't see why the people being discussed, directly or indirectly, should not be aware of the discussion and I know some of us don't always make it outside of GU.

DayDreamer her multiple usernames (or friends) are starting to slander other people here and it is getting old. Since she can't seem to bash people down by calling them ignorant, stupid racists here - she decided to take it to another forum.

Keep in mind - she can't seem to quite figure out what the term racist actually means.

I think it is one thing to get into an argument here, but when someone takes things to other forums and starts making heinous allegations- it can tarnish a person's reputation. Newbies see it and automatically think "OMG.. the Webmaster is tolerating Pidaua being a racist"

This is getting quite old and whereas we could all argue, sometimes leave etc.. I have never seen one of us Knowflakes take something to that extreme. This is rare and a form of defamation of character.

Something needs to be done.

I wouldn't go so far as label people rascist, who are friends with those who've expressed racist/discriminatory things.

That in itself is a generalization, stereotyping...and can get pretty nasty.

I already skimmed over some of that stuff...not like I actually read what Pidaua says. She doesnt know how to communicate with some people.

I am not attacking or defending anyone or anything. That would imply I take any allegations seriously. It's like schoolyard taunts, not damaging behaviour.

lioneye's post makes perfect sense. She's discussing the issue that some of you here feel that just because someone says bad things about terrorists who happen to be Muslim that makes them a racist. So unless you think that anyone who is Muslim is a fascist or a terrorist I don't see how you could apply that comment across the board to all Muslims or to DayDreamer who happens to be a Muslim ... though making such obvious errors of logic and untrue assumptions/allegations does seem to make you quite happy.

Reading comprehension ... context clues ... anyone? Anyone at all?

Strange how someone just got banned for attacking someone in the Astro forum in a racist manner and then someone else magically appears and starts making allegations that there are all these racists around here ... particularly by some of the people who were against that other person's racist remarks in the first place. DayDreamer's concerns had been voiced in that thread as well. Curious, very curious.

Don't know about you guys but I don't believe in coincidence.

DD has posted articles with information on the Muslim religion and Muhammed. She is just trying to inform people because face it, what lioneye says about the Muslim religion does not come from studying it and discovering what it is all about. It comes from radical right sources. We Americans are basically ignorant of the Middle East and yet when DD posts an article giving the view of Muslims she is attacked for that and her religion is attacked. I have also been personally attacked for trying to give the other side of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. We have both been labeled "terrorist supporters" when really what we support is justice for all people in the world.

I know that you guys don't want this stuff brought over to the other threads because you all know what goes on at GU and that is why you avoid it. It's a shame that this stuff does go on at GU and instead of discussions and debates all there is is one argument after another because when you are attacked daily just for giving a differing opinion you will defend yourself and strike back at times. Then it starts dragging you down. It's a shame that many of you here at LL who probably have some very good thoughts and opinions on what is taking place in the world from a spiritual standpoint won't post at GU because of all the personal attacks, labeling and name calling by just a few people.

It does get real ugly at GU and many of us who post there often have to take long breaks away from all the negative energy. It's a shame it has to be that way but for years this has been going on at LL in GU.

Randall, according to what he told me last year, seems to think that verbal abuse is a part of free speech. It's not. Verbal abuse is what it is and freedom of speech is a whole different thing. No one should have to be subjected to verbal abuse on a daily basis for just giving their opinion and thoughts. In every other place in our American society verbal abuse is not considered a form of free speech. Abuse of any kind is wrong morally and it's also wrong in the eyes of the law.

Now that I have given my opinion on the matter what do you bet that I am verbally abused by this gang for doing so? Goes in one ear and out the other though.

Tell me, are those not personal attacks? Is that not verbal abuse? Why is it okay to say things like that (under any circumstances) but it's not okay for someone to say that people who are against the war might just be sympathizing with the wrong people, ie, terrorists?
