I caught the replay tonight, so that's cool. She did downplay it a bit, which is probably why I missed it.Tonight's episode: Wow! Things just got interesting!

MM,Where are you?! Age of Love ended tonight, and you have to be happy. Right before he made his choice I decided I had to try to locate the women's birthday's. I looked up Jen's (48) first. She's an Aries. Is it safe to say that I suddenly realize why she's single? Amanda's birthday shocked me. I was so convinced she was a Sag. She's a Cancer. I told my girlfriend, who was rooting for Jen (since she's in her 40's herself), that Amanda should work better astrologically since they're both water signs. IP: Logged |

I couldn't say anything without giving it away so it was with complete restraint and love that I STAYED AWAY!!! I was bursting to blab about it but there was nothing I could say without giving it away. They didn't show Jen enough for me to get to know her at all and I knew Amanda liked him strongly from the start but that doesn't necessarily mean she was the best match. But now I understand more fully why he was so amiable to her emotions. I just recognized some of my youthful self in her, but I'm pretty sure all of that Prince Charming stuff has been tortured and twisted out of me now. Just the Capricorn facts now. I think that is romantic in its own way though. I'm glad you looked up their signs, I wanted to know but I was too lazy to look it all up. I was watching it and thinking about how I wouldn't be able to chat with you about it and I was going to tease you and ask you if you were going to go to the site and take that quiz to see if you were compatible with Mark! lol I knew I wouldn't do it, but I was interested in what kind of silliness they had created. They twist and contort the end so much to try to get you to think that he might make a different choice that you don't really get to see what is going on anyway. They play all the parts that make it seem like he is saying stuff to Amanda like, "you can't help who you fall in love with" like he is preparing her for his decision to pick the other girl, but it fails with someone like Amanda because you can see her emotion on her face and you know if he really WERE saying that, she would look constantly crushed. I knew it was all over for Jen the moment his mother found out her age. and I cracked up when the brother (or in law) dude made the comment about the mom wanting grandchildren. No kidding. Jen was almost 50, she never had a chance. I did believe she might for a moment though, and I think he got her to believe it too, so that was kind of sad. As I mentioned though... I can tell Amanda is NEVER going to let him forget what went on with those other women. They are doomed by the situation. In addition to in her mind, she will probably have it on DVD. I don't think she will be able to live with it, I know I couldn't have at her age. Maybe not even now... its hard to tell.

He did have the best rapport with Amanda from the start, and that was amongst everyone. Would be hard to deny the person you've always had the easiest connection with. His mom was sweet. IP: Logged |

OOOOO it's a good one tonight. I don't write because I don't want to give it away and the thrill of it only lasts during, and for a short time after, the show. hehe Dick absolutely has a Scorpionnnnnnnnnnn AC and he is getting over the top for my Libran sensitivities. He is right though. Gotta give him that. Well, this has to be said... So, we know Jen is inherently wicked and Dick is "Evel" so putt'um' all together and... they are wicked "evel". Maybe next week they will have devil suits. This was the best veto comp ever... well almost ever. Listen to Jen's fear to know my thoughts on a ... um "better" or "worse" is probably the word, comp.

Cool. I'm watching it now. Hey, on the airplane thing, why was Amber's name along with Eric's? Was it because she admitted to Nick that she knew he was leaving in her message to him after he was booted? I watched the veto, but I'm not certain what you're saying in your last line. IP: Logged |

Yeah, he asked her if he was going and she said, "uh noooooooo" with this high terrified voice if I am remembering correctly. I think as a Pisces he probably guessed he was the one leaving from her lousy "lie". I can't lie either. It gets me into all kinds of trouble because where someone would just lie and save themselves a long explanation I end up blurting out "yes" when some random dude asks if I live alone because I am treating him like he is the same as a little old lady who asked me the question. So anyway, I think everyone put her in a bad position, the big cry baby obviously didn't do it out of malice. Whoever paid for the banner is too dumb to have the plane fly over before Nick is voted out... waste of money. Do they pay BB to get a banner up or something? Otherwise hundreds of planes with banners will be going by from now on.

I think Nick must've commissioned the plane. He'd be the only one who would consider Amber a liar, and I think it's because of what she said in the video she made if he got booted.I wonder if he got permission from Big Brother to do it considering that they screwed him with an "America's Player". So how is it? I'm still waiting.I've been watching some Bravo lately. That new show Flipping Out is a trip. It's the professional house flipper. That guy's beyond description. You should watch it...at least once. I'm watching some show called Welcome To The Parker right now. It's a 5-star hotel. The show's... ok, I guess. Top Chef is good, too. IP: Logged |

Well, the first 10 minutes or so I missed and I WISH I WOULDN'T HAVE!!! When I turned it on Amber was red-faced, crying and screaming bleeped out words, to give you an idea.I don't know if it has started yet for you, but they show Dick's rock-star friends (I won't tell you) and a bunch of supporters wearing t-shirts. They all say I Dick or Dick Supporter etc cutesy/punny stuff but one... You know how Jen wore those shirts that all had her name on them? Like Jen-a-licious or Jen-vy or whatever (I don't even remember, but I think I gave pretty good examples that cover the idea behind her shirts hehe) ANYWAY one of the Dick fans had a shirt that said something that started with Jen-something and ended with Evel or something like that and it was killing me that I missed it so if you see it, remember it for me or tivo it and rewind it to check it out or something if you don't mind. I have a feeling it was a cool play on words that described how Dick got her to sell her soul to him (just kidding) and be his "evel" lackey. I would LOVE to know what that shirt said. I hope it is worth my anticipation. IP: Logged |

I am cable challenged. Sorry. I had it for about 3 months two different times while I've been at LL during promotional things, but then I was taken over by the HGTV Home and Garden Television. I watch the shows that give me extra good ideas on creating beauty in my home out of stuff people throw away or sell cheap. I have weird taste, limited budget and dig recycling. See, I have this voice inside of me that wants to destroy all things Ikea.... if I even spelled that right... hehe Also reminds me of Pheobe and Pottery Barn. "Simple Living" Grrrrreeeeeeeeeeeen Acres is the place for me Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrm livin' is the life for me Land spreadin' out so far and wideKeep Manhattan, just give me that countryside. What the heck is a profession house flipper?
And I missed that post about you not knowing what I said in the last line about Veto. I wanted to say all the torture they had to endure, but I couldn't because you hadn't watched yet, but I was saying that Jen said the only thing she was afraid of was HAIR CUTTING. And I remember when they did that to some dude a summer or more ago. I don't remember who though. It always breaks my heart to see the hair go though. I am remembering Holly and the guy who liked her now with the spiky hair. I liked them. The hair cutting must have been that season. Hmm... this won't post, so I will remember to send it thru later but you will have already watched, so you won't see my t-shirt request before the show. Maybe it will catch your eye too.

OopsI saw you replied so I finally had the sense to split the post in half. About what they didn't show us... do you mean at the end of the show? I missed the first 10 min or so, so I don't know what I did or did not miss. But the end started getting good and I wished I had the feed. IP: Logged |

Oh, HGTV? My girlfriend loves that network. While at her place recently we stumbled across their reality show, DesignStar. It's on Sunday nights (after BB), and it's cool.IKEA...brief ...what's the word? Jeez...not segue, not distraction...anyway, briefly.. I came across a business astrology book, and one of the things on the cover that stood out to me was, "Find out why IKEA is a typical Aries company," or something like that. It made me curious, but I didn't buy it. I don't mind IKEA, though I do take issue with the scale of a lot of their furniture as it seems geared towards smaller, shorter people. quote: What the heck is a profession house flipper?
A person who buys a house, renovates it, and then sells it for a profit. Usually people buy undervalued houses, and bring them up to market value to sell. This particular flipper buys houses in decent condition, but goes ahead and guts them anyway, because he likes to actually make the homes really nice. He's a trip to watch, though. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Ok, Big Brother... I thought that you get to see it before me. Is that not right? Evel Dick came up with a way to drive a wedge in Eric's alliance. He did so after Amber had already swore not to vote Eric out. Dick went to her, and told her that Eric had told him in week 1 that he had Amber "in his back pocket," because of some story she revealed to him [Eric] that puts her in a really bad light. Dick told her that Eric would use that story to discredit her if she ever got in his way. Amber knew the story Dick was talking about, and felt betrayed by Eric. It just built up in her, the more she thought about it, the more agitated she got, and you saw the end of it. Dustin tried to talk her down, but she wouldn't listen. In the end, Dustin agreed to vote Eric out in Amber's place since she'd made that promise already. Dustin totally went back on that agreement, though, and knocked Kail out. (You probably saw him in the kitchen being questioned by Dick, and him saying that he voted Eric out.) At the end Dick was apparently so confused by who could have betrayed the vote that he started messing with Jameka. I did see all of Dick's friends, but I don't recall any Jen shirt amongst the Dick-supporting shirts. I don't have Tivo either. I thought it was interesting how when Julie Chen questioned Danielle about her father's behavior towards women, Danielle didn't give a single opinion of it. Instead she made it all about herself, and woe is she/her for having to deal with the people who won't stand up to Dick and come after her instead. She does kind of have a point, but I would have liked to hear her thoughts on her dad's behavior, because I think it crosses a line far too often. Kudos to Dustin for standing up to him after the HoH competition. IP: Logged |

Oh, and I wanted to see what they didn't show us, because there was a night between Amber's outburst on Eric and the voting ceremony. I want to know if any reconciliation might have happened. I also wouldn't mind seeing it if Dustin planned on voting for Kail the whole time. If he did talk about it, BB probably left it out so that the show would have a nice twist.IP: Logged |

Excellent re-cap there of the first 10 minutes! I felt like I watched it now. No, I watch it before you, but it wouldn't post and I thought I just had to wait a while... like LL was having trouble or something so I went to do other stuff and watched a movie etc and then came back to post. It still wouldn't post even though I saw YOU had posted, so clearly it wasn't a posting problem for everyone, so I split the post in half finally and sent it. That is why it is confusing. I wrote around two hours after the show my time, when I thought you would be getting ready to watch it. Anyway, the voice inside me that wants to destroy all things Ikea is Tayler, Tyler's sister. But I'm mostly kidding. I don't even know anything about stuff like that because I don't bother knowing it. If I don't get it by osmosis, I don't get it. I just know that most people's apartments look almost exactly the same and it bores me. I'm an eclectic-type girl. But not even THAT is in the traditional sense of the word. I think my "style" in decorating is Venusian Garden meets Country Home but with more Venusian Garden. Not that that is an actual approved design style. hehe I also have books stacked everywhere. When I get a large home, my books will have their own room. I think I'll call it a library. hehe Tell me about the reality show on HGTV, sounds interesting. Being a house flipper would be cool for someone with the carpentry skills. Those design shows inspired me to learn how to use Dad's power saw and start buying tools at estate sales. All of my furniture also needs to be stripped and re-finished. But it has great shapes!!! IP: Logged |

I don't think this is the case. I mean, people start out from the same place: not having enough money to decorate the way they'd like, but that doesn't make them the same. If someone avoids being eclectic, then maybe it means that they're not into that style. Often times I think it means that designing their space isn't high on their priority list. The reality show on HGTV is called DesignStar. The contestants are competing for their own show on HGTV. They do design challenges each week. The first one was an enormous Las Vegas loft, where -I think- they're staying while the show is running. They divided up the space, and some people partnered up voluntarily, while others designed spaces on their own. The second week's challenge has them split up into two teams. Each team tackled neighboring home's kitchen and dining room area. Both were a bit disastrous. The "Tuscan" kitchen was panned by the judges. They didn't think it represented Tuscan style at all. The other kitchen didn't get finished on time. Both homeowners were happy with the results. The judges include Vern _______ who used to be a designer on Trading Spaces. He always did prestine, immacculate designs back when I used to watch him. If you think about an asian doing a very precise design style, then the result would be Vern's creations. They were almost sterile in a sense, [because] they were so clean. Anyway, I think he's the primary judge. Then there are two other female judges who I don't recognize. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/design_star/ IP: Logged |

Oh, I'm not talking about earth sign bachelor types like yourself :P I'm talking about young couples who max out their credit cards buying over-priced boring crap and then re-max them in 5 years to buy the "new" boring crap the design world is pushing. I'm a commie, remember? And I have a lot of earth energy so I like things of quality that last, mixed with my Venusian ethereal beauty tastes. I guess I just see a lot of waste due to boredom that results from a lack of spiritual awareness. If you can see where I am coming from there. I just get rowdy when I talk sometimes. I like to blame it on Mars in Aquarius in my first house. IP: Logged |

The show must go on... Yep, thanks for reminding me.
I shouldn't talk so much crap about the people on there... they are practically my "friends". And let's see... hmmmm... they are entertaining, they don't mess up the house, they leave after short visits and they don't care if I'm in my slippers. They don't challenge me, don't make me think TOO much, and they act stupid enough to allow me to believe I'm not as stupid for the day. Hey, life is challenging enough, and they offer a nice break. They are like Junk Food Friends. Not much nutrition but I didn't have to grow it and water it. Ok, now I feel guilty for not loving the people on Big Brother. Guess I'll have to love celebrities too. : ) I think its hard to see Kail as "real" since she is lying about who she is to attempt to win the game. It is all very un-real. "A Game" but not... hmmmm or maybe even Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! A game within a game within a game within Game....

Dick's so p!ssed.Suddenly, what-her-name's Capricorn-ishness starts showing. I was pleasantly surprised that she took Danielle's advice, and put Danielle and her dad up...though I worry about the Veto now. Maybe she should have put a pawn up, and back-doored Danielle if the veto was used. IP: Logged |

Oh no, I thought I was going to watch it tonight, aaaaaiiiiirrrrr sign. I missed it last night. My sister came in from CO and my cousin created a tropical theme party so I had margaritas and played cards and then with through a surreal family experience. I was watching Titanic tonight but I stopped after tape one to look for BB. Then I had to check here to see if I read right. Then I saw the date on the post. YEah. So, DANIELLE told whatsher to nominate herself and her Dad? I guess she is hoping to escape the back door, eh? Might just work. Things change. The person I wish they would vote out is now Dustin. So, who did "America" tell Eric to campaign to get voted out?

Wow! So you're America? I don't understand America. Dustin kept it interesting, and made a great game play keeping his fellow Aquarian in. It doesn't make sense to get rid of Dustin. That's who America wanted. Coincidentally, Dustin did tell Eric in the hot tub that he wanted to go up on the block with Evel Dick in order to sweeten Dick's exit from the house. (Dustin's getting a little bolder in his interaction with Dick.) That made it easy for Eric to bring up to Capricorn-girl, and she said she'd consider it. Eric also planted a seed about Eric being a liar or something... I forget exactly what he said, but it didn't seem like an accurate statement based on what we've seen so far. I think the Aquarians should stick together.Danielle didn't suggest to Capricorn-girl that she nominate Danielle and her dad. She said in the diary room, and another time or two in conversation I think that if Capricorn-girl was smart she'd put up her and her dad. That was the smartest move Danielle thought that they could make. Danielle's absolutely dreading being in the house without her dad. She doesn't feel close to anyone in there. Danielle buddied up a little with Jen, too, playing up the fact that they both don't have any friends in the house. At the food competition, they passed out two colors of bandanas, red and blue. Zack went for Blue, so Dustin went for Red. Then Dick snatched the Red bandanas from Dustin's hand...So the teams ended up being Danielle, Dick, Jen, and Dustin (in Red) versus Amber, Eric, Zack and Jameka (in Blue). There were two rock stages (there were rock costumes as well - as you can imagine, Dick only put on the bandana ) and the yard was filled with guitars on stands. The teams had to smash guitars in order to get the card inside, which either said Slop or '$'. There was also one Slop Pass. The primarily Late Night Crew's team (Eric, Amber, Jameka) figured out QUICKLY to go for the guitars that were farther out. They kicked the Red team's ass. Dick got the Slop Pass. He offered it to Danielle, who refused it asking that he give it to Jen instead, which he did. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Dick's going after Jameka and Amber and their religion. Jameka squared off with him right after the HoH competition, but they held the footage until yesterday. He was doing his typical, stupid, relentless thing because it was getting a reaction, and she was going off on him defending her religion and reitterating how she's never judged him based on his religion or lack thereof. Amber got in on it a little. Later in the house those three got into it again. Dick is ridiculous. He was just pushing buttons to push buttons. Typical angry Cancer. He kept calling Jameka a hypocrite, but he didn't back it up with anything. He implied that Amber must be a terrible mother... I really hope you don't sincerely like this guy. I mean, he's attractive, and I understand a certain romantic fascination with someone who will speak his mind, but the sh!t that comes out of that guy's mouth, and the way that he thinks it's in any way acceptable to act the way that he does is just beyond me. I love Dick and Danielle. The rest mean nothing to me and I dislike Dustin because he is after Dick now and all "bold" now that Dick is weakened. Dick's shirt: "I'm mean because you are stupid" Ok, have to watch!!! edit:
Oh, you will see the main reason I love the Dick and Danielle story in the first 10 minutes or so of the show. I like seeing things get better between them. You can tell by the diary room with Dick how important it is for him to repair things with Danielle. I respect how real he is and his honest emotions. I also see how he is the only one who can tell Eric is lying. I'm liking his new plan.

When you watch this I hope you will be able to see why I feel the way I do. Watch all of the weak willed sheep run in each direction they are herded. Watch how easy it is for them to turn their backs on their "friends". It may take a while to earn Dick's true friendship, but once it is earned he is loyal to the end and would take a bullet for his loved ones. They (BB) don't show it, but he respects Jen now because she withstood his "test of fire" ... and she is clever enough to align with him and I'm sure she is still doing his bidding, uh I mean working with him... even though again, they don't show it. Add "America" (yeah, that's me! hehe I just send out the jedi mind trick vibes to get "America" to vote the way I want... yeah, yeah... ) and game on. Also, keep an eye on how Dick may be more obvious with his rude behavior, name calling, and pseudo-judgment, but the others begin to show their true colors if you listen carefully. ESPECIALLY after Dick has been so over the top and opened things up so they feel safe to say things they never would have said. Now they know they can call names, judge, etc. and never be seen "as bad as Dick".
Next episode they will probably start turning on each other and tearing each others' throats out. Just watch. IP: Logged | |
