I didn't see anyone disputing the fact that she had a certain amount of responsibility. The thing is, he could be out there infecting others - it seems he refused to use a condom, when he knew that he could infect her with Hepatitis B. He has a responsibility, too, to the women he's sleeping with. I couldn't believe it when he asked, "Why did you trust me?" It's one thing for her to ask herself that, and I understand why people here might wonder the same thing, but he is pushing all responsibility onto her, which doesn't bode well for his future partners.

Something like race/religion/colour/ethnicity has never stopped me from sleeping with someone (or being friends with someone or talking to someone) and Ive been with all sorts, living in a city praised for being built on being distinctly multicultural. One of my dreams to go to a 3rd world country, particularly Africa to do something about the social problems there cos I'm a humanitarian like you wouldn't believe.

I think the original point here is that poor countries have a higher rate of disease due to a lack of education & poor sanitation/insufficient health care/poor infrastructure. It's a social problem of that society, not a racial/racist issue.

Colour doesn't even come into that fact cos it happens on all continents. And i honestly don't think anyone here would think such things and makes such prejudiced judgements when they come across someone who is culturally or racially different from themselves.

Um, Glaucus, I'm not trying to disagree with you or anything but don't they call Africa the Cradle of Mankind for that reason??

I mean, all the continents were stuck together twice in our billion years history (one of them was called Pangea, me thinks) and if thats the case, then we all come from the same land mass before the forces and tetonic plates shifted again.

How else did the Aboriginals get to Australia from Indonesia, i could be wrong so dont quote me on that one hehe (that's what we were taught about Indigenous History). They definitely didn't get into canoos and paddle across the ocean from one continent to the other.

Sorry, but I'm really really into DNA, evolution, human migration, how we ended up where we are, Earth changes and how the Earth formed blah blah blah (yes, i'm a real intellectual geek, i know i know) and if i'm wrong in any sense, i would love to know why just so i get it right the next time this issue comes up and i wanna say something.
