Ron Davis believed that ADHD is not a disorder that needs to be medicated. The previous explained why.
He believed that there are ways to approach ADHD without medication.

He came up with the following:

A Drug-Free Approach to ADHD

The Davis Dyslexia Correction® program includes specific tools for self-regulating attention focus and energy level. These tools enable children and adults to work and study without reliance on medications commonly prescribed for ADHD. These tools include:
boy with clay model

Orientation or Alignment
Davis Facilitators use several mental focusing techniques, including Davis Orientation Counseling®, Davis Alignment, and Davis Auditory Orientation, in order to enable clients to exercise control over their perceptions and mental focus.
Davis Dial-Setting.
Dial-setting is a technique used to enable clients to become better aware of their own energy level, and to develop sensitivity to the energy levels of others around them. With this tool, the individual develops the ability to precisely regulate his own energy level, avoiding bouts of hyper-activity in inappropriate contexts.
Davis Concept Mastery.
Davis providers also use clay modeling to explore concepts like self, consequence, change, order/disorder, sequence, or responsibility to help their clients better control their own behavior and understand its impact on others.

The Davis approach to ADHD is described in-depth in the book The Gift of Learning, by Ron Davis.
Why Drugs and Davis Don't Mix
open pill bottle

Licensed Davis Facilitators usually will not work with clients taking medications commonly prescribed for ADHD, such as Ritalin, Strattera, or Concerta, as those medications generally interfere with the individual's ability to learn and apply the mental focusing techniques that are integral to the Davis program. Additionally, many medications prescribed for other conditions, such as depression or anxiety, may also prevent successful utilization of Davis techniques. In general, psycho-active drugs, stimulants, and serotonin reuptake inhibitors seem to stand in the way of a successful Davis program.

In order for a student to experience long-range success, it is also important to follow through after completion of the initial intensive week with a Facilitator. It is particularly important that individuals practice the various mental focusing techniques regularly, so that the use of these tools becomes natural and habitual.

Most Davis clients who wish to end their reliance on medication to control behavioral or attention focus problems are successful in doing so. However, to achieve this success, the Davis tools must be used consistently and regularly. This is not always easy; conditions which cause fatigue and stress may also prevent the successful use of the Davis tools on occasion, and anyone can have a bad day.

Thus, for the Davis program to be successful, it is important that the clients be truly motivated to change, and ready to assume responsibility for regulating their own behavior. It is also important that parents be supportive and encourage their child to use the Davis tools. It can be tempting for a parent to return to use of medication after the program, especially when the child returns to school; however, this can undermine the success the child has previously enjoyed with the tools. Not only do the medications interfere with the child's ability to employ the techniques he has practiced successfully in the past, but it also sends a mixed message: on the one hand the child is told that he now has the ability to control his orientation and energy levels with Davis techniques, and on the other hand is being told he must take a pill because the techniques have somehow failed him.

Davis providers will evaluate each case on an individual basis. Although a Davis provider may refuse to accept a client because of concerns about medications, the provider will not make a direct recommendation as to whether to continue with medication. Rather, the issue of whether to continue with medication is one that each individual must determine in consultation with the prescribing physician.

In general, medications that are prescribed primarily to regulate attention level or behavior are the ones most likely to prevent success with the Davis program. In most cases, medications prescribed for physical ailments or illnesses such as asthma, hypertension, or diabetes would not be a problem. However, it is always important for the prospective Davis client to disclose fully to the provider any medications that are being taken -- including nonprescription medications or natural, herbal remedies -- so that the provider is aware of the possible influence of these substances, as well as possible issues related to the underlying condition being treated.

I am going to post the charts of 3 people that were believed to be not only early Indigos by New Age/Metaphysical people but also believed to have neurodivergent conditions by Neurodiversity Advocates/Activists and people that specialize in dealing with neurodivergent conditions.

Thomas Edison - some believed he had Dyslexia, some believed he had ADHD. The DRD4 7R gene is referred as the Edison Gene by Thom Hartmann because Thomas Edison was believed to have ADHD and had the Edison Gene/DRD4 7R characteristics. Thomas Edison was kicked out of school and was homeschooled by his mother.

Albert Einstein - some believed that he had Dyslexia, some believed that he had ADHD, some believed that he had High Functioning Autism or Aspergers Syndrome. He didn't talk until he was 3 years old,and had a lifelong history of problems with speech as well as things like rote memorization and linear time. He also attended a school that was actually similar to a Montessori School.

Sir Isaac Newton - believed to have Aspergers Syndrome. He was eccentric and spoke in a peculiar way.

I will be going over their charts from the 21st Century Astrology perspective as I have done with charts here.

That means that I will check to see if they have both a strong outerplanet influence and a strong transneptunian dwarf planet/candidate influence. This will include Declination, Right Ascension, and the nodes of the outer planets and transneptunian dwarf planet candidate objects.

The first one will be Thomas Edison.

mochai thank you so much for your kind flute explanation.the story feels good, but actually i still dont know what it really means, but can look it up purification is important when you want your kundalini to rise without heavy bodyimpact.

the vision of yours is what i feel is approaching....i think this transition the indiginous people talk about has something to do with the kundalini process.i have read serpent of light by drunvalo melchizedek and that book is such an eyeopener.it talks about the *earths* kundalini.the book i am reading at the moment talks about the suggestion that planet earth itself is in the middle of a mid-life crisis.around age 38-42 kundalini rises natural in every human body, when uranus is opposite the natal position.i resonate with this theory very much, yet cant explain this to people who dont have kundalinisymptoms.

in my book from well known astrologer BHC,it is stated that the kundaliniforce is of electromagnetic nature.so if i get it right this means that planetary alignments do have influence on earths magnetic field and so it has influence on our bodychakrasystem too...so i think astrology is an excellent tool to keep track of energies in order to adjust to nature

mochai, you inspire me now to go deep with krishna ....

lol but i must say that i do not always resonate with the indian philosophy on kundalini just as hand clow seems to have doubts about chakras.she says that there are two additional chakras that are never taken into consideration.those two are the center of the earth(which would be the first chakra) and the other one would be the connection to source which is above the crown chakra, this makes 9 chakras and for me this model makes much more sense than the traditional sheme.but i think the snake is located at the base of the spine....thats also the traditional teaching, thanks for the flute and success with the purification

Thanks for the feedback Glac...I am fully aware of the orbs used, I am not that new!lol When dealing with asteroids, transneptunians, centaurs, etc., I only use a 1 degree orb with squares, trines, quincunxes, and such...unless I see a strong theme, then I will widen the orb up a bit...with conjunctions and oppositions I use up to 3 degrees...
When asking what you meant about a 'strong theme that shouldn't be denied', I was unsure, and still am of what it could imply, as far as you are concerned..
It appears as if you and I are both are on similar paths...our intentions are to help others...For me, the answers I am seeking through Astrology for the most part, is figuring out 'who' and 'where' we have been...our souls...then we will be able to dteremine what Karma we have, or possibly have incurred...resolving Karma helps the Ascension process...proving 'who' our souls are may trigger memories, and help to open our pineal glands..
I am trying to take all of the pieces of the puzzle, thru every aspect possible...to paint the BIG picture...As much time as I spend studying, and researching, if I were only concerned about myself, I probably would have the answers by now! lol
Thanks again for all of your help, and great info!
btw...what exactly is a 'glue ear'?

We actually have 12 chakras... http://www.brighthill.net/metaphysical/twelve_chakras.htm

That is interesting about the kundalini rising naturally between the ages of 38-42...I think I may have written a bit about my experience at 39...It just came to me a couple of months ago that my strange, year-long experience, was indeed Kundalini...I just never heard the term until my bf mentioned it to me a few months back...thanks

well yes there are so many theories about chakras in the meanwhile, that its hard to tell which system should be the right system.
again like always i tend to resonate with the 9 dimensional model, otherwise i get confused

blonderiverkat- There's too strong of a masonic symbol on that link you posted for me to want to take it seriously. I'm very wary of things that have masonic influence, including astrology to an extent. Ancient Egypt as well. It becomes very confusing.

Mochai- That's interesting. I had a dream a long time ago that some guy was trying to hurt/rape me and I called fire to me to protect me. It took a little time but then my hands lit up with fire and I burned my attacker face.

I heard in the ancient egyptian schools they said there were 13. I've noticed disparties even amongst hindu gurus. When I can see them without any filter bias, I think I'll be more confident to say.

Lucie, where I got the information about the flute from is from a kundalini tantric book called Aghora: II. I've never been big on hinduism but there's a strong likelyhood I've practiced it in past lives. I had a vision of Ganesa last week

Da Vinci's man thingie....I forgot what it's called. From what I can remember he was a mason. I'm not offended, and I'm sorry if I have offended you. I'm just very very wary of these things. I tip-toe carefully. I don't know much about chakras so I'm not debating that, just that website in particular.

It's the Vetruvian Man...within the Star of David...aka a Merkaba...and you did not offend me in any way...this is why we are here, to share, and learn from one another...we all have our opinions...Hey...once upon a time I wouldn't have anything to do with Astrology, or many things that I now study! My kids laugh now, because I thought Astrology was evil! hehe

the orbs that you use seem reasonable

but

Pluto's fellow transneptunians dwarf planet/candidates and Ceres are in a different class
from all the other transneptunians as well as all asteroids
they are considerably much larger, and so they are dwarf planets and dwarf planet candidates

I actually give Pluto orbs of no more than 3 degrees.
After all , it's a dwarf planet.

Eris,Makemake, and Haumea aren't much smaller than Pluto, and they are officially classed as dwarf planets.
Therefore, it would make sense to use the same orbs for them as Pluto. Eris is barely smaller than Pluto too.

With a diameter of 930 km, Ceres is the biggest asteroid by far,and it's the only asteroid classed as a dwarf planet.
Therefore, it would make sense to use the same orbs for its fellow transneptunian dwarf planet candidates

Sedna and Orcus are transneptunian objects that are larger than Ceres. They will definitely join the others as dwarf planets.
It would make sense to give them the same orbs too

Quaoar,Varuna, and Ixion aren't mush smaller than Ceres, and they will join the others as dwarf planets too.
It would make sense to give them the same orb

I also use much smaller orbs for the regular planets, etc. I use a 5 degree orb.
That's because I consider other factors like Right Ascension,Declination, and planetary nodes.

That's how my views have changed to adapt to 21st Century discoveries as well as looking at the sky in a multidimensional way.
That's how I diverge from mainstream astrologers.

I and many others could relate to asteroids and other minor planets (besides the dwarf planet/candidates) beyond 1 degree..actually up to 3 degrees.

If I gave the Pluto same orb as the regular planets, then it would make sense to give the same orb for its fellow dwarf planets/candidates. Of course, that would mean an unmanageable amount of aspects.

I find that orbs aren't so cut and dry with the minor planets and that seems true for overall Astrology. I think many astrologers want to make sure that the aspects are manageable even though Astrology can be very subjective. That's why a lot of astrologers disagree on things. Diversity in Astrology can be a good thing though.

Here is information glue ear:

What Is Glue Ear?

Glue ear is a painless condition in which thick, sticky fluid collects behind the eardrum. The fluid blocks the middle part of the ear and can cause impaired hearing. It usually affects children and is also known as:

* Chronic otitis media with effusion (OME)

* Secretory otitis media

* Middle-ear effusion

The thick fluid prevents normal movement of the small bones in the middle ear that are necessary for hearing. Glue ear is common in children because of the nature of their eustachian tubes, the tubes that connect the ears with the back of the throat.

Different kinds of fluid may be present behind the eardrum, ranging from a yellow liquid to a thick, white material that resembles glue (hence the name, glue ear).

Left untreated, glue ear can:

* Cause temporary hearing loss

* Contribute to delayed speech development in young children

* Affect a child's behavior and educational progress

* In rare cases, cause permanent damage to hearing

About half of all cases of glue ear will resolve on their own within three months. About 90% of cases resolve within six months, and about 90% of cases resolve within three months. It is important to have the condition evaluated by a physician, because in the time it may take to resolve on its own, glue ear may affect a child's speech development or behavior.

Need To Know:

Having glue ear is like listening to the world with both fingers stuck in your ears. Children with glue ear cannot always hear everything that is said to them. But young children may not be able to explain the problem. Many become irritable and just want to be left alone. Any child who appears not to be hearing well should be evaluated by a physician and have a hearing test.

Nice To Know:

Q: How is glue ear different from an ear infection?

A: Glue ear is not painful and does not cause the symptoms of a middle-ear infection (such as fever, crying, inability to sleep soundly, or tugging at the ear). Instead of pain, the child may experience a feeling of stuffiness in the ears and hearing loss. Glue ear may develop within weeks of an ear infection, but often the cause is unknown.

Understanding How The Ear Works

The ear is divided into three parts: the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear.

The middle ear is a small space between the outer and inner ear. It is separated from the outer ear by the eardrum. It contains three delicate bones (the hammer, anvil, and stirrup) that are important in hearing.

Here is how hearing works:

Sound creates vibrations in the air that are picked up by the eardrum.

When the eardrum vibrates, the tiny bones inside the middle ear also vibrate, transmitting the vibrations across the middle ear to the inner ear.

This causes fluid in the inner ear to move.

When fluid moves in the inner ear, it stimulates the nerve cells inside this part of the ear.

These nerve cells then send impulses to the brain along the "hearing nerve" (the cochlea nerve) and we then hear the sound.

A tube called the eustachian tube connects the middle ear to the back of the throat. When functioning properly, eustachian tubes do the following:

* Equalize air pressure on both sides of the eardrum. When you yawn or swallow and your ears "pop," it is your eustachian tubes adjusting the air pressure in your middle ear. Negative air pressure in the middle ear causes pain and a "full" sensation in the ear.

* Allow drainage from the middle ear to the throat.

* Protect the middle ear from germs that may enter the back of the nose and throat.

Facts about glue ear

* Glue ear is a common problem, affecting up to one in ten children at some time in their lives.

* Glue ear often occurs in both ears and may be difficult to detect, since it is not painful and doesn't cause symptoms of an ear infection.

* It most often affects children between the ages of 2 and 5 years, but it can happen in all ages, including adulthood.

* At around 8 years of age, the eustachian tube becomes a more efficient to aerate to the middle ear cavity, and glue ear is much less common.

* Glue ear is more common in boys than in girls.

* It most often occurs in winter and spring.

* About half of all cases of glue ear will resolve on their own, without treatment, within three months.

* Once a child has had one episode of glue ear, the chances are increased that it will happen again, especially if the first episode was before age 2.

* If glue ear A painless condition in which thick, sticky fluid collects behind the eardrum, blocking the middle part of the ear and possibly causing impaired hearing involves both ears and persists for several months, especially before the age of 3 or 4, it can interfere with normal speech development.

Thomas Edison Alva Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) was an American inventor, scientist, and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and a long-lasting, practical electric light bulb. Dubbed "The Wizard of Menlo Park" (now Edison, New Jersey) by a newspaper reporter, he was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of mass production and large teamwork to the process of invention, and therefore is often credited with the creation of the first industrial research laboratory.[1]

Edison is considered one of the most prolific inventors in history, holding 1,093 US patents in his name, as well as many patents in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. He is credited with numerous inventions that contributed to mass communication and, in particular, telecommunications. These included a stock ticker, a mechanical vote recorder, a battery for an electric car, electrical power, recorded music and motion pictures. His advanced work in these fields was an outgrowth of his early career as a telegraph operator. Edison originated the concept and implementation of electric-power generation and distribution to homes, businesses, and factories – a crucial development in the modern industrialized world. His first power station was on Manhattan Island, New York. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Edison

Very valuable info Glac...there are a few things that I seriously need to look into...what is your view on Draconic Astrology? I am very intrigued by some things going on with us, and I am unsure of how to perhaps find info on past lives...any suggestions?

btw...looking forward to seeing the charts of the 'early indigos'...

Ahhh... I looked up 'glue ear', and that would be moi..lol In my left ear however, not my right...it turns to little crystals that cause blockages, which could be an explanation for vertigo in the past...the vertigo as of late, has been following some sort of pattern...seems to be coinciding with the Full Moon...and my Kaali trines my Moon by less than 5 hours...so there could be something there...

I haven't really looked into the Draconic zodiac much because I already look at charts from other perspectives that include the declinations,Right Ascension, and Heliocentric.

I understand that the Draconic Zodiac is said to be about soul contracts.

even by draconic zodiac to tropical zodiac comparison, I even have a strong transneptunian influence with my Draconic Ascendant/Descendant axis conjunct my Quaoar-Sedna opposition. Draconic Pluto is conjunct my natal Venus.

Hey do you mind letting me know about my transneptunians? What should I list? They're actually rather interesting...well more than I thought they would be.

Here is information about Right Ascension and Declinations.

Right ascension and declination

What are right ascension and declination?

To measure the positions of stars and planets on the celestial sphere, there are 2 systems of coordinates. One is based on the ecliptic, the other is based on the celestial equator.

* The celestial longitude and latitude use the ecliptic-based system of coordinates.
* The right ascension and the declination use the celestial equator-based system of coordinates.

So the right ascension is to the celestial equator what the longitude is to the ecliptic. The declination is to the celestial equator what the latitude is to the ecliptic.

The angle between the ecliptic and the equator is called 'obliquity of the ecliptic' (epsilon) and is worth some 23 degrees (it slowly varies with time), and is due to the inclination of the spinning axis of the Earth.

It follows that the Sun's highest possible North declination is 23 degrees or so (epsilon), and is reached at the June solstice (21 June). The Sun's maximum South declination, 23 degrees, is reached at the December solstice (21 December).
Right ascension charts

There are 2 main systems of coordinates on the celestial sphere. One is based on the ecliptic, the other one is based on the celestial equator. One can therefore conceive 2 ways of drawing charts:

* The usual way is based on the ecliptic – not right ascension. As we saw when discussing celestial longitude and latitude, a 'normal' astrological chart is a graphic representation of planetary longitudes. The zodiac band which has the ecliptic as its middle) is drawn, and the planets are placed on it according to their longitude.
* In a right ascension chart, instead of using the zodiac/ecliptic, one uses the celestial equator. This is why on a right ascension chart, you will not see any zodiacal signs, just 12 sections which represent 12 divisions of the celestial equator. Along this circle, the planets are placed according to their right ascension.

To get a listing of right ascensions and declinations in Clairvision Virtual Astrologer, click on 'View', 'Listing', then 'Detailed'. You will notice that right ascensions are not expressed in degrees, but in hour angles.
Right ascension charts – what they mean

How does the meaning of a right ascension chart differ from a normal chart?

To answer this question, some say that the celestial equator is a more 'earthy' reference than the ecliptic. This makes sense, for the celestial equator is the projection of the earth's equator on the celestial sphere, while the ecliptic is the path of the Sun.

Consequently, they regard the right ascension chart as an indication of how a person manifests the potentialities of their 'normal' (longitude-based) chart into their life. From this perspective, the 'normal' chart shows potentialities; the right ascension chart shows how these potentialities are likely to manifest in real life. Hence the motto: right ascension chart – manifestation chart.

For instance, if an aspect or a cluster of planets is really critical in a person's chart, you may want to look at their right ascension chart to see if the aspect is also present, and if it is any different.

In astrological readings, it is not rare to see people who are not like their chart! For instance, one sees charts with beautiful potentialities which are not translated into the reality of the person's life. The right ascension chart may give clues as to why and how, and also clues as to how to manifest what is in the chart.

From these indications, you may also deduct that the right ascension charts of solar returns may be quite interesting, since when doing predictions you are precisely trying to determine how influences will manifest in real life.

To draw a right ascension chart in Clairvision Virtual Astrologer, click on 'View', 'Drawing', choose either 'PNG' or 'AVG', then 'Configure', and 'Right Ascension Chart'.
Parallels and contraparallels of declination

When two planets have the same declination (distance north or south of the celestial equator) they are said to be in parallel of declination. Contraparallels of declination take place when they are opposed in relation to the celestial equator, for example one is 3 degrees above the celestial equator, and the other is 3 degrees below it.

In Clairvision Virtual Astrologer you will find parallels and contraparallels of declination under 'View', 'Listing', 'Aspects'. In the grids of PDF charts, parallels and contraparallels are found in the upper part – above the diagonal line (while the aspects are found below the diagonal line). Click on 'View', 'Drawing', 'PDF', 'Configure'.

As with all aspects, there are orbs for parallels and contraparallels of declination. Most astrologers who use parallels and contraparallels of declination use an orb of only one degree. In Clairvision Virtual Astrologer you can view and customize the orbs by clicking on 'Aspect Orbs' under 'Preferences'.
What they mean, in short

According to certain astrologers, a parallel of declination is like a 'mini conjunction', and a contraparallel is like a 'mini opposition'. Parallels and contraparallels of declination add to the intensity of the relationship between the two planets but are secondary to other aspects.

So Glac...do you feel as if you can determine 'soul contracts' your way...or only with Draconic? I am trying to figure out the easiest way to find some answers being I have so many people involved here...I am trying to keep from 'spinning so many wheels'... lol

I really don't know. I don't use draconics. I don't look for soul contracts.

Kat, there is this guy in Salt Lake City who offers classes through the internet on how to read the akashic records. I know you're trying to work it out through astrology, but I have little doubt that you can read them. The guy who runs the classes is an angel. I'm wanting to do the classes myself, but I'm putting it off. I've only learned of my soul contracts through akashic readings.

Thank you mochai...I sometimes feel as if someone, or something is trying to keep us from finding some answers...you have no idea...I really appreciate it sweetie, and will definitely check it out...
