No stories at the moment but this thread is my refuge as well as a place for laughter (sad stories notwithstanding), while, in between, I dash around some other threads and try and learn some astrology  I want to make clear (in case I'm misunderstood-since this IS a thread about lost love), that while I love to laugh, my heart goes out to any and everyone who has ever lost a love. Neurological/brain scans have shown that the brains of people deeply in love have the same areas light up as those affected when one takes drugs like narcotics for example- the affected area of the brain is called the addiction center. Hence there are common expressions like:
"love is like a drug"
"people in love are crazy"
"he/she's high on love" In more recent years, it is also being discovered that when someone loses a love, or suffers through unrequited love, or has their love crushed through deception, the result on the brain is an actual injury similar to the injury in the brains of those returning from war and suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Pretty sobering imo. This is why I think it's important to NEVER play with someone's emotions, especially the kind of games that players play. That's crazy! And yet is doesn't surprise me. I can only say I've experienced 2 'lost loves'. Normally with breakups I tend to retreat for a lil bit and I'm good. Not a big deal. But with lost loves, I'm very emotional about it to the point I get physically ill bc I'm that upset and take it so personal. Example: I got really painful migraines. I'm emotional anyways so that's to b expected lol but wow I didn't realize all that. Makes ya stop and think. IP: Logged |
