And then you do it and Pluto says, "Fine, now do more."

If you have no enemies you can only love your friends, and enemies need it more.

Maybe you need to start loving your Pluto

Hell yes, I think having moon square pluto at a tight orb, but also venus inconjunt pluto and it can be hell sometimes! I attract intense situations all the time. I dont know what it is, but combined with this libra rising is trouble. I have a scorpio on the third house cusp so its like i'm always walking on egg shells around ppl.

It might help to know what the "stroking so deep" is ultimately intended for.

"Pluto is the deity with the attributes of a serpent. He is a healer, a giver of health, spiritual and physical, and of enlightenment."

Venus and Mercury conjunct Pluto in Scorpio here. Growing up, I thought it was normal to be obsessed with people/things. Or think and think repeatedly about something until my brain fried. Turns out not everyone is like that.

At this point, I've gotten used to it and try to carry that energy in a positive way (if it's possible). Sometimes, I do wonder what it would be like to have more lighthearted placements. I have Libra Sun/Moon/Mars, but it almost feels like they get overshadowed.

That actually is encouraging to hear. Thanks for the perspective, and you know I'm so impressed with your weight loss.

I need to shed some metaphorical weight, some baggage...and I am seeing that more clearly these days.

Me,too.

The weird thing is I'm always crushing the eggshells anyway, so when I complain about hurting someone's feelings by accident, people are like, "Oh you didn't mean to? But you did it so well."

It's like, why do I even bother....

Anyway good luck to us.

I have a few hard aspects with Pluto

Sun SQ Pluto
Venus SQ Pluto
Mars SQ Pluto
Mars in 8H

At first I disliked all of these aspects. They can make me very obsessive, jealous, and a bit controlling. But in the last 4 years, I've learned to love all of them. After learning and understanding these aspects, I am better under controlled.

Does having these aspects attract the loonies and stalkers btw?

I can imagine. I feel like my Libra Pluto overshadows my Capricorn sun....especially since my progressed sun has been in Aquarius for so long, and it's easy being nice.

But transiting Pluto is now plunked down on my sun saying "Haha finally victory is ours! Topple the balance and be the ruthless goat!! "

I haven't been competitive for a long time but this transit is making me competitive and I loathe it. Like I catch myself being myself and I'm like, "I thought we got rid of you once and for all."

Or something like that. LOL

Ahhh, Faith. Let's call upon us being Sun square Pluto twins here. I know I will. ^

But yes... Sun square Pluto, Venus (chart ruler and apex of t-square) semi-square Pluto exact. Oh and Venus rules my 8th, so it's naturally more Plutonian. Aaaand that also means my 8th house ruler is the apex of a t-square.

The intensity and obsessiveness are horrible. At least, at first, I had a hard time accepting it - would beat myself up, like, "Damn, why do I always have to be like this, why the h*ll can't I just stay calm like everyone else?" especially in relationships (the Venus aspect, and the Sun is another significator for men anyway).

The funniest thing is, I don't think I even had that much of a problem with my sensitivity until my family did and just always gave me a hard time for it. Same with teachers, classmates, friends, relationships. Like, I'm very Lunar and Neptunian, too, so I also cling a lot and just tend to accept too much from other people, so eventually, I let everyone talk, beat and bully me into hating my intensity as much as everyone else did. I spent like 15 years always trying to be what other people wanted me to be, would get brutal on myself for every type of reaction I got that was too "emotional" (a.k.a. what I thought was childish, being a drama queen, etc.). It was even worse - a real bitter taste in my mouth - when my family indeed became much nicer to me when I was nice, polite and completely level in every single way. In college, I had everyone wanting to be friends with me and quite a few guys interested in me, but did they really like me for who I was? I'm not sure, 'cause I was just so... cool-headed. Everything was cool. Nothing hurt or angered me. And while I was a complete shell, taking anti-depressants and anxiety meds to level my emotions even more - for everyone else's convenience! - people close to me loved it, were all "Oh God, you've become so much more mature and peaceful, it's great."

And eventually, I realized that was wrong. I didn't want to be loved if I had to stuff down 20 years of trauma while riddled with all kinds of meds for others to love me. After starting with therapy 2 years ago, I've come to really accept myself and while life has certainly not been easier, at least I can say I feel more at peace with myself. Even when I'm falling into depression again because a friendship or relationship is failing, even when I'm riddled with nerves for exams... it's better this way.

So what I mean is that Pluto is one tough dude who forces you to always be true to yourself. If you don't think of why exactly you want/want to do something, he'll come down hard on you. It's not really fair, but it's just what it is - you have to look at yourself at all times, know yourself.

And yes it's a huge d*mn load and tons of pressure. But I can say that it's helped me meet some people who are true quality. Like... even with you and Muddy here (and Bella and Doux), you guys were one of the first people who didn't tell me to just shut up about my problems, who didn't walk away or get ****** and tell me to stop feeling sorry for myself when I was having problems. And that just means so much to me. All of you remind me of my two best friends in a fandom before this one, who were the first ever (together with that college class) to show actual sympathy for me in like... 10 years?

And it helped me work out all issues I had - especially the lingering ones - with my family. Which I'm very thankful for. If I hadn't dived in, I would still be carrying that much hidden, unconscious anger and even rage at what they put me through. Past "friends" and boyfriends, same. (And the worst part was, I never even felt any anger or sadness, no matter how justified... I'd stuffed everything that far down.)

Anyway, yes, Pluto is just a really heavy energy and often feels like it's just too much. OHH and true, like no matter how much you work on you, it's just still not enough. Pluto wants it all... but what is 'all'?

*hugs* and lots of positive vibes your way. I know this is a really rough time for you with Pluto's transits, but it will get better. It's just a real shame you can never say when. But it gets easier to bear.

Aww, well as a Sun square Pluto I can relate, but....I actually love Pluto! Saturn is kind of the selfish jerk in my chart, and Pluto is the guy that although uncomfortable at times, makes me change for the better.

I think it is that 8th house moon influence too, there is nothing superficial about you- you dig very, very deep at least based on our conversations.

My Pluto aspects can definitely bring challenges at times, but I really love the intensity. My issues are more of finding a balance between work and home life, as I tend to place work ahead too much. But, at the same time I have become seriously transformed by my job experiences.

I laughed so far at the War Room reference. one of the funniest scenes. Reach far enough and you will hit the stars!

@Rie: I loved your post, thanks for your in depth response, it really described the nature of Pluto well and how one can use it positively despite the challenges.

Comforting to know I'm not the only one!

What makes you feel your Pluto overshadows your Sun? Just curious.

Competitive isn't always a bad thing. It pushes you to improve.

I forgot about progressed Sun. I'm probably somewhere in Scorpio now..... which explains a lot. My natal Sun is Libra 27 degrees.

Yes. I'm glad that I only have a couple of harsh pluto aspects natally. Some of the transits have been brutal. If it isn't me, then it's someone in a position to affect me, you know? So it gets me anyway.

I also have 8th house Moon, Venus and SN. When I can detach, it's a wonderful thing.

Hi Faith

Lol sorry , I always get a rainbowiish feeling around you, so it feels appropriate to put one next to your name in a pluto thread

More on topic, I can understand where you are coming from with associating pluto with discomfort. It is one aspect of many pluto themes for sure. Although I have more trines, I have one opposition.(Venus-Pluto) I almost feel that there were levels of graduation with the opposition. And of course it concerned more a certain area in my life, a certain time in my life. Here's the thing, with harsh aspects there's certain lessons to be learned. Once the lesson is leaned, the tension in these harsh aspects will cease to exist. You will be lifted of the tension once you figure out and accept what you want to do to improve. Turning this acceptance into action is very very important.

All this has been my personal experience anyway and I hope you find your way with it Faith....

Pluto is in Libra in my 3rd house (sq. Sun/Venus). Pluto shows how I learn about life.

I am always surrounded by wise and knowledgeable people, but I rarely take their advice. I am arrogant, yes, but my inability to take advice has more to do with how I learn. I can't just do because someone tells me to.

I have to plunge to the depths before I desire the heights.

Someone once told me, that's a hard way to live

It is, but my life is the only one I know, so no, I don't want anything else.
