Is that accurate to say?

I feel like every Pluto aspect except for the trine and sextile is downright hard or impossible.

I have sun square Pluto natally, so everything I do is wrong. I have an 8H moon and everything I feel is too intense. I have a Scorpio NN so yay, I get to venture further and further into the heart of darkness if I want to fulfill my destiny. Sounds awesome.

Thank God I do not have Venus-Pluto aspects.

Anyway, I'm curious if anyone else gets grumpy about Pluto. Super demanding, never-satisfied SOB of a planet.

Maybe I should have called this the Pluto venting thread. I just want to know I'm not alone.

No!!!!

I would not want to exchange my pluto for ANYTHING.
And my Pluto transiting times were just the most amazing experiences. (and I am talking about Tr Pluto square Moon, conjunct Mars, ASC, NN, Neptune, Mercury, Sun and Venus - God I was so sad to see Pluto leave my Venus, well actually my solar return has a conjunction of Pluto and Venus at 3°33, and actually just 3 days after my Venus-return. lol and SR Venus EXACT square natal Pluto at 0°03)

Of course it was not easy, those times always have been rollercoaster rides, but honestly I can deal with that a lot better than with the numbing endless grey days when nothing seems to happen, and everything is just the same.

Give me drama, but keep the boredom away!
(not too much drama of course, just as much as I can handle)

Haha - I swear, I was thinking the same thing today. I love Pluto and learned to appreciate its/his lessons - but I feel that any level of self-awareness you achieve with Pluto's help, just prepares you for the next level. Doesn't seem to end! Or maybe I'm just having a bad day today

Here's how Pluto reigns in my chart:
Opposition to Moon by 2 degrees
Square to my Venus/AC conjunction by 2 degrees
Sextile to Sun, Neptune and Mercury by 1 to 4 degrees
Semi-square to Saturn and Uranus by 0 degrees
Sextile to Vertex and Karma by 1 and 4 degrees

that sort of I feel more about Saturn (though well there are certain degrees of all the transpersonal energies that seem to never be satisfied, or not for long)

oh and Tr Pluto conjunct mars was not nice at all, that I do admit.

Pluto-Sun and Pluto-Moon and Pluto-Venus was pretty awesome though, though exhausting of cours eas well.

Some friend you are.

Well I'm glad you had good Pluto transits Ceri.

I'm partial to Saturn, you'll forgive me, but he's my ruler after all. I feel like Saturn says, "Do what I say and you will get a treat. "

Pluto says,"Do what I say or else you better watch out because you are going down in flames while your enemies applaud. And by the way, yes, you have enemies. "

And then you do it and Pluto says, "Fine, now do more."

Faith,

I am right there with you re: Pluto and discomfort. I posted a thread recently in another forum talking about hating Pluto because I have too much in my chart and every transit has brought me loss and pain. Complete destruction / transformation in whatever house he's currently in- currently the 8th (of all things).

When Pluto transited my 7th, I married an abusive man suddenly (and was disowned as a result). I eventually divorced him and then entered in a relationship with my current husband. When I left my ex-husband, I took almost nothing with me; no furniture or appliances or anything, and stayed in a room with only a twin sized mattress. I filed a restraining order and cut him out of my life completely. I also became very much aware that I didn't like who I was and it didn't feel like me- I wasn't being true to myself and being aware of that is what fueled a lot of my transformation.

At that time, my new relationship was very Plutonic and involved addiction and betrayal (which I was very much aware of and was waiting for him to tell me about it). I was devastated, but he had hit rock bottom and needed help. I could see him for who he really was and as a result I took a chance and got him in touch with a therapist and 12 step groups. He completely changed his life, cut all ties with the addicts in his life, and eventually moved in with me. He really transformed himself too. Btw he has Mars in Scorpio and a Scorpio 7th house so it seems like Pluto transformations are a theme with him as well. We struggled for a while because I had to learn how to trust myself, learn not to give my power to others, and accept whatever happened. I really had to let go. In the end, I am SO glad I took a chance on him and I'm reminded every day. This all by the end of Pluto's transit through my 7th house.

It started heading through my 8th and formed a conjunction with my ruling planet (Mercury) and guess what happened: the day after my wedding, my cousin and best friend died suddenly while out running. He was the same age as me and we grew up joined at the hip. I think that was when I really decided that I hated Pluto. Of course, I'm still anxious now that Pluto's moving through my 8th and will form very difficult aspects with critical points / planets in my chart.

However, this is not to scare you- Pluto was forcing me to transform myself and in the end, it was worth it.

Here's my chart if you're interested:

I hope I didn't scare you- I think the thing to remember is to allow Pluto to do his thing and focus on the lessons he's trying to teach us. I also have a very Plutonic chart and a history of childhood neglect and abuse, abusive relationships and losses and I feel like if I hadn't tried to control things so much that it may have ended up being a very positive experience.

Sorry for the long post and thank you for reading. :-)

Nelys

I don't have moon/Saturn.

Unless you are counting the fact that my draconic moon is exactly conjunct my progressed Saturn, but that was just a secret between me, my chart, and the creepers who delve into my chart and know my solar arcs and asteroids before I do.

I think in your case it was more a lucky guess.

Wow, Nelys, thank you so much for your story. That is exactly the kind of life that makes me feel like I am less alone. I'm so glad that you followed your intuition, took that risk, and succeeded with your husband. That makes me really happy. And best wishes going forward.

Yes I'm getting the feeling that that is another thing about Pluto. It makes everything more real, more scary and risky, but more satisfying whenever it all goes right. Satisfying like nothing else.

But so exhausting.

ET: No, maybe not exhausting, uncomfortable seems the better word for it.

I said nothing rude to you, Ami. Have a good one.

PS This quaint exchange reminds me of a quote from Dr. Strangelove:

Stop with the Pluto stuff on my Pluto thread.

Pluto is in hard aspect to my moon and Venus and my experiences with women have been overwhelmingly negative. Pluto sucks but Saturn might have Pluto beat.

Is your e-marriage to Odette failing?

Maybe it depends on how our natal charts are arranged, whether Saturn or Pluto is harder.

Maybe it's my Scorpio NN that is the challenge and your Cap NN conjunct Saturn (right?)

I love my pluto-square-sun and appreciate sun-pluto hard aspects folks with a some mixed feelings for the conjunction.

I think it is the aspect that keeps me sane, but who knows. So much saturnian influence in me ...

For every thing pluto has taken away from me, there's something else I received that I wouldnt exchange for the whole wide world.

I have similar sentiments for Saturn. I think hard Jupiter transits suck, as well as neptune and uranus. Good god, I am going through t.pluto conjunct venus and t.uranus square venus. The uranian effects are much worse

Haha. But seriously its so bad that I have to be suspicious of every girl that is nice to me. They seldom have a genuine interest in me. They only see me as means to some end. Yes, and it also conjuncts my sun. The fact that this is in the 12th house doesn't help either.

But isn`t it amazing that you CAN do more? Sdo much more than you thought you were capable of?

Of course Pluto is not a lightweight I am not saying that.
And I was NOT fond of the Tr Pluto to my Mars, as this coincided with my grandfather having a stroke, which restructured all our lives (and the second hit happened just 2 days before something else took place, that was important for me).

Mars rules my 4th house and is in my 12th btw.

Recently I was having.

Tr Pluto conjunct pr ASC
- this one is a loooooong one due to retrogradation

exact hits:
march-april 2011
january 2012
june 2012
december 2012
july 2013
november 2013
september 2014

It was right in the middle of that period (november 2012), that I decided to lose weight, and I suspect Pluto being one factor in it being such a smooth run actually (of course it was work, and discipline and I don`t knoww aht, but it worked out)

maybe even supported by:
Tr Pluto square n Pluto
february 2012
may 2012
december 2012
september-october 2013

I am not really looking forward to all the oppositions of Tr Pluto to my natal Saturn though.

Saturn has been hit quite hard anyway (squrae from Tr Uranus)

Pluto was hard up until I turned 18. Sun conjunct Pluto - exact. Much of the turmoil had to do with my father's fate experiencing revolution in his country, only to experience revolution in that country, which led to our being refugees in a third country. The other part was being a black sheep in a Catholic community of nuns.

But, I'm glad I got the hard part over early on. I wouldn't trade Pluto for anything. I hear it takes tremendous pressure to make a diamond.
