Of course, we're not there yet...and as a Capricorn, I'm aging in reverse, they say...somehow I don't quite believe that hype, but I'm trying to.
YES.!! They're so adorable and dignified at the same time. Hard to explain that kind of charm - but it's there. Oh yeah, my high school crush was a Cappy. I don't know if he looked like an 'old man', but he did hunch and walk around like one. I thought it was cute. He and I are good friends now, and as the years go by, he gets more boisterous by the day. Maybe that theory does hold. Get back to us with a picture every five years. IP: Logged |

Thank you, Lee, but trust me, I'm not gorgeous. Average at best. You sparked my curiosity about Italian genetics...as you know my maternal side is completely dead or gone, so I don't see it or even really connect with it anymore. edit.... IP: Logged |

Wow, thank you, Lee! Your grandmother reminds me of my mother! Well, my mother's MOTHER'S side is from Calabria, maybe my mother's father was from another part of Italy. Maybe the north! Yes, okay, I seem to have the hair! Hmmm could that really be genetics? Do I have Italian hair? Seems like it! The woman on the far right in your bottom pic looks like my grandmother, same nose and body shape. (As in, ate too much pasta.) I'm trying to find this one I tried to post before, with the weird-looking model who I think looks like me....but I can't yet.... ETA: No, sorry, I can't find it! IP: Logged |

My dear Faith, I am very happy to track our Italian ancestry with you, sorella. You hair is a distinctive Italian trait, and so is your face oval, that is another Italian, Mediterranean classic My great grandparents (great grandmother to the right, and look at the men too, one of them is great grandfather, they both have it) had it, one of my sisters inherited it, my face is more of a blend, and more on the Turkish side as head shape. Your skin tone seems similar to mine, the typical Italian olive. It seems to have some Irish pink too though IP: Logged |

Sorry, Ceri, I hope we didn't monopolize your thread, you know how Italians...and Irish! are, loud and all over the place lolThe more I look at your blouse, the more I like it. I think a dress like this will also look good on you (you can adjust the cleavage as you like it , but the shape and sleeves and color (perhaps a hint lighter) I think would compliment you well mostly an evening dress, of course I also love red/black combination for you, I think it is INDEED Venus/Pluto, red/black combinations Personally that's what I'd wear now and then

Awwww gorgeous people, no wonder you're so pretty. Yep, yep, you look like your father, as girls do but a mixture in fact. And I can see the Italian Irish archetype now, with the pics you posted. Whaddya say, Italian and Irish aren't cool? IP: Logged |

^ My People! Not the bear, the others. Well no offense intended to anyone...it's the Americanization that can be a problem. And only for the people who WANT it to be a problem. ^ I probably went to high school with them. IP: Logged |
