I wanted to post it in Lindaland central, but it sais I am not allowed to post new topics.

Well this is what happens when I let my Venus-Pluto-square out to do midnight shopping. She comes home with a blouse (called "Red Raven") that I will never be able to wear anywhere in public.
But i just had to see it on me, even if just for entertainment purpose.

I like the look, Ceri. I would totally wear it in public. But hey, I'm someone who'd walk around in a hooded cloak.

Dreaminess,

I love that lipstick on you. You totally should wear it in public, too. At least no reason not to. It looks amazing.

Auntie,

haha

I totally can see you in a hooded cloak. lol

Well yes, I admit I am tempted a little. Maybe I will find some fantasy/ vampire/ gothic convention where I could wear it. Or as a costume for upcoming carnival there, though I have not dressed up since I was a teenager. LOL

Also, even though Iw ould not really dare to, part of me really likes the idea of wearing it lets say to a concert, a party or a musical (howe about the "Pirate Queen" one? lol) just to see the shocked expressions on some faces, and the desparetely attempts to keep a pokerface and not letting the true thoughts come to the surface (which might not even be all that flattering for me, probably. lol)

It is really cute, Ceri! It is the favorite piece of clothing I have seen you wear. I don't think it is too "out of the box". I think it is cool

I'd be disappointed if you didn't It may not be something what you usually wear but it's a nice piece of clothing so why not?

Dreaminess, I wouldn't call that lipstick very dark. It suits you so I don't see why you shouldn't use it.

Thank you, Ami. It means a lot to me that you said that.
I do feel drawn to that clothing style, but it is so out of the range of my normal clothing, and also of people around me mostly.

I'm not into makeup but I like the idea of a dark purple lipstick/lipgloss. I'll probably buy something someday.

Dreaminess - you have those emotional looking eyes. Looking good though!!

Ceridwen - love the thread and the outfit! Very Venus/Pluto and you look great! You'll get compliments. Perhaps a few with harsh looks but we can't please everybody.

Ceri, it's too bad that you don't live in an area where no one would blink an eye if you dressed like that, because it's a lovely outfit on you.

I have Pluto opposite Venus, and I've habitually spent money on Fluvogs (well, once because they're ridiculously expensive), intricate stockings, lingerie type dresses, dark lipstick, etc. Lol.

I mean, it would be rather pointless for me to wear such things now, so I'm all about practicality these days (toddler + Aries stellium = no jewelry or heels ).

But I also lived in one of the most liberal cities in the US, so it was not a big deal.

I hope you find a few places to wear it!

I love it!

And *you ARE wearing it in public* here.

Would look good with a jet black wig, heavy eye makeup, some jewelry...not sure about the shoes?

Wear what you want to wear. Be yourself. Everybody dresses the same anyway... that is boring.

I understand your feelings. Especially if you haven`t tried it out yet. But I do really think it suits you so well. So just go for it in an environment where you feel safe to experiment a little?

LOL
this struck me, too, when I started the thread, it is a public place. But then again it is still different wearing it and encounter other people in the physical dimension as well.

I can see that, with the Jet black wig, the outfit might suit someone with really dark hair (I am not a wig-wearing-type though - on the other hand I never even considered it. Mmmh Maybe that way I could be a little more incognito? )

Shoes will have to be flat unfortunately, as I cannot walk safely on heels. Well my shoes have a little bit of a heal but really not that high.

The top is fancy Ceridwen! I hope you find a special occasion to wear it!

You are rocking it Dreaminess!
I occasionally wear purple lipstick out in public. I have dark and lighter shades of purple. I'll do light purple lipstick if I want to draw attention to the green in my eyes.
I've read in magazines that using purple make up, makes eyes and teeth look brighter.
But yeah, my boyfriend is not a fan of the dark purple lipstick since it's noticeable. If dark purple is too out of your comfort zone, I suggest playing with a lighter purple shade.
