Ahahaha...don't we all?

But yeah, at first I was like "Oh, come on, that's just MEAN!"
And then I realized they were models (who were probably photoshopped, lol).

Also, it was funny.

Not even kidding, I REALLY want to get a high quality hooded cloak. I would wear it. They look so comfortable, and I feel they would help me feel a bit safer, in a weird way. I like big, loose, and preferably warm clothing.

I always told people that I'm going to bring cloaks in to style. Lmao

I have an imaginary wish-list. A hooded cloak is close to the top on that list. Preferably some shade of light purple or a really deep indigo or purple/blue blend.

I don't really care about style-related things. I mean, I do, but.. In a different way. To me, as long as it is comfortable and does its job that is the main concern. I don't care if I go out in torn up, paint stained clothes.

I guess I just realize regardless of how you dress, or who you are, you're pretty much always going to have someone judging you. Might as well enjoy myself and wear what I actually want to.

Cloaks are so expensive though. Lol

For real, if someone knows a shop that sells genuine, high quality cloaks, point me in that direction.

Really, I guess there is a part of me that thinks like this.. Anytime I start getting worried about my looks or how the public might see me because of how I look I think to myself "I did not come here to focus on nothing but my looks. That was not my mission. There are bigger things to worry about."

Haha, yess! Most of my wardrobe actually consists of things I can't wear in public! I will buy the craziest crap on impulse.... Lace up (p)leather leggings.. Thigh highs that are JUST a 'scrunchie' around each thigh with black pleather strings that you weave around your legs and tie at the ankles. Metallic mermaid leggings (which I was able to wear for a mermaid parade thankfully)
This crop top that looks like a big 'X' with the upper part of the X covering the chest
Fur coats (fake) that I love but I wore them a couple times around campus and people would glare / roll their eyes at me. Not worth it I guess.
Lots of cheap corsets.. Fairy wings.. Devil wings.. Trust me if I could walk around with wings without attracting a bunch of unwanted energy then I totally would. I'm too sensitive for now.

Venus in Scorpio and Progressed Venus conjunct Pluto!

*I also buy a bunch of random stuff that I can and do wear in public. Most recently I got a Spirited Away hoodie, and these tights.. http://picture-cdn.wheretoget.it/k4p1jb-l.jpg

(And no, I don't have the money to be buying all these things.)

My friend got her cloak from this shop:
http://www.etsy.com/au/listing/243431027/womens-black-handmade-hooded-cape-hooded?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=hooded%20cloak

She has the red one. It looks great. Quite expensive though. I suppose if you can sew then buying fabrics and making one would be much cheaper.

I've seen people wearing long cloak that remind me of the elves in Lord of the rings. On etsy there's plenty to choose from.

Bluejay,

thanks for your input, and yes, I totally can see that being a good one for a Renessaince festival, or even carnival here (though I have not been anywhere in costume for years, and this one feels like a bit of a costume for me. lol). I am toying with the idea of a concert, but maybe not. lol

And too bad you cannot show that outfit you described

Oh and I did not ask for opinions?
I thought I did. LOL
But never mind, I got opinions AND I love how the thread turned out with all the different clothing styles. That is just so interesting to see what others wear (or donīt dare to wear )

Ah thank you, Readytochill,

well for me leggings are an absolute Must. I can see how a slender (and younger) woman could maybe wear it as minidress though, if she has the right pair of legs for it.

That's my Venus in the 8th exact Pluto semisextile/parallel, 8th stellium, a few years back for a short while, just for fun. He's a colleague, a sculptor, the "victim".

OP do what you want, but initially you had bad feelings about wearing it in public. Honestly, you weren't wrong.

Sometimes I wear just my (artificial) fur, nothing underneath. It keeps too much warmth!! a girl can't take that much heat.

You know, there's a saying, it's pretty global: better zip your mouth if you've got nada nice to say.

The red tunika has a specific style, and styles can be different, but suggesting there is something "improper" about it is more than weird. Even if it looked like a piece of lingerie, which it doesn't, there are many lingerie-like outfits, with lace, corsets and so on, fashionable, one can perfectly wear anywhere, if they want. And generally, people should wear everything they feel like according to their style, personal style, having one, is what matters.

I actually had a cloak once. Been wearing it many years (even pulled it out last year again, in winter, as it was warm, and apparently fashionable again, which I did not know. My pupils keep me informed. lol)

I never even thought twice if I could wear it, I mean it was so nicely wide and flowing and warm and anthrazite. I probably looked like an oversized bat, when I was initially wearing it with many kilos more.
I couldnīt care less at that time, strangely enough.

Ahh thank you, Leeloo.
You had me at "Guinevere".
Nah seriously you do know that Guinevere is conjunct Spirit in my chart, right?
Though they are also squaring Pluto.

And wow, you look completely amazing. Is there a gypsy-lineage in your family?
(I have always been fascinated with gypsies in my youth; I dressed up at one for one of the rare occasions I actually did dress up for the big costume-parade in our school. Never went for the princess-style, really, well I had to because a dress was sown for me, very individual. But my favourite costumes have always been gypsy, witch - well I WANTED to dress up as witch in kindergarten, but I was not allowed to, the teacher said I was having to dress up as Star. lol - and pirate. )

That's the spirit, Ceri! I wear all kinds of fashion myself, including costume like outfits, for example now I am into rag-like, Cinderella long cloche skirts I made myself, they unravel as I walk. I also have cloaks, two, one red, one black, weird hats and so on, I LOVE to wear them, couldn't care less if someone doesn't get my sense of fashion and I love to see people wearing costume like fashion on the street.

Oh come on, you can't be serious.
What is this, 1850? Let the woman wear what she wants.

a. I don't think it's sending the 'wrong signals'.
b. Let's say, even if it were -- what's the problem? If a woman wants to own her sexuality, more power to her. Or if she simply likes those kind of clothes, no 'message' intended, why not? If she wants to wear a low-cut spaghetti with a mini skirt, she has every right to. Plus, it shows confidence.

Ceri, nice one, go ahead and wear it.

No gypsy, but lots of Mediterranean: Turkish, Italian, Greek and some Mongol in my blood. I actually tried to buy a genuine gypsy outfit a few years back, from the Gypsy community, but they tried to scam me and I gave up, but I will get it somehow.
This is how it looks

Thank you for the compliment
