I did the right thing, no matter the result. One of us had to swallow our pride. It was all just a misunderstanding. I understand how she would feel slighted over it. Her feelings matter. I told her what I wanted to ask her that day. I didn't presume to know what she was thinking the question was. I apologized for being stubborn.
