Hey guys. Lately I have been obsessed with my Moon in 3rd and was wondering how the differing moons manifest in the differing houses.

I would like your input. What house your sign is in and aspects. And how you think it manifests in your life.

In my case, my Moon in 3rd has me feel restless and want to try everything. Its subsequent conjunction to the Ic has me love creating a safe nest/haven from which to dwell.

And I also stay up till late. My mind being busy and imagining all sorts of stuff. Its most active at night.

Please feel free to share

I have moon in the 1st house in capricorn. My moon is sextile saturn in scorpio. It also squares pluto in scorpio. I come across as very nurturing and compassionate. I'll do anything to help someone in need. However, I am also extremely cynical and vengeful. If someone crosses me, then I will not hesitate to turn their life upside down.

My life is filled with a lot of emotional turmoil. I've seen so much death and destruction. I've almost been killed numerous times, but I always manage to survive.

Moon in 1st is sensitive. So the square to Pluto intensifies the sensitivity. I would understand you taking stuff personally when being wronged etc.

Is it easy to be emotionally open? I know of a Sun/Pluto square in Aqu/Sco who is a headache. Constantly hiding from himself. Its annoying.

What I mean by that is that I feel like he fears showing feelings. Terrified of seeming "vulnerable"

I've got moon in the 11th. In a lot of ways, I feel very Aquarian. I can be pretty emotionally stoic, which puts people off. When they relay emotional/dramatic news, they expect me, especially since I am female, to react extremely emotionally or show them my bleeding heart. I don't.

Sure, on the inside, often is a brewing storm, but I try to stay outside of it. People may see me and think I must be some nurturing woman who'll validate them and carry their burden. I don't. I tell them the facts, give them a brief pat, but get straight to the heart of a matter with little fluff. I guess I come off as some kind of cold scientist. Because of this, I get a lot of crap from people who think I'm dead inside :P

Hmmm...what aspects does your Moon make? And what sign is the Moon in?

I find Moon in 11th house people to be the most communal of all( tied with Moon in 4th). In that they tend to be the "nurturer" amongst friends or attach themselves very deeply to group activities.

I don't have a problem showing feelings. I'm quite straightforward. If someone lies to me about something serious, I will call them out on it. If I like someone, then I tell them.

If someone hurts my family, then I will turn their life into a living hell. Criticism doesn't bother me in the slightest. If someone tries to step on me to get what they want, then that's another story.

Moon in Gemini - 8th house
Moon square Mars - orb of 2 degrees
Moon bi-quintile Pluto - orb within 1 degree
Moon conjunct South Node - orb of 5 degrees
Moon sextile Midheaven - orb of 6 degrees

If people expect me to be more attentive to their emotional problems just because I'm a woman, they will be disappointed. I can give a person my ear and listen, but I cannot give them more than a verbal exchange. Aside from just talking to people, my understanding of emotions is quite poor.

Additionally, the usual interpretation of Gemini Moons is a bit balanced out with it being in 8th house. This means that I am very deep and complex and this also means I'm not as light-hearted as you might expect at first. It's not unusual for me to at least try to be funny every now and then though as having a good time is important in life. For the most part, I just have a lot of experience dealing with the darker side of reality. Most other Gemini Moons would likely think I'm too dark and serious for their liking.

It's in Gemini in 9th house.
Square Saturn and Mars
Trine Pluto
Opposite Neptune
Conjunct Venus (9 degrees)

It's emotions in a religious and philosophical pressure cooker, mixed with
acid and magic mushrooms.

I need time to contemplate if i really want to figure out if I feel anything or what I feel about things.
My airy planets do not always have that time for contemplation and in bad times, if pressured enough, out comes cooked tales, told in faraway world - beyond human reach, and if I'm lucky they might at least sound good.

And it depends what you mean about nurturing as well. I guess it could be considered nurturing, but most people wouldn't think so. They want to be validated and enabled. I'll tend to not treat adults as you would a child or a teenager. For example, if someone cries to me about how they feel they're a failure because they can't get a job or a boyfriend/or girlfriend, I can sympathize, and empathize fine, and I'll tell them ways they can work on bettering themselves/don't give up/try a different angle, advice on getting through their pain, how they can become more confident etc. But if someone doesn't want constructive feedback and wants to wallow indefinitely and not be told they're wrong, that they're not failures and have much to look forward to (and look back on), I ain't the one to go to. Just being overly emotional with others for the sake of it isn't my thang. So, people tend to avoid me when it comes to emotional topics because they know I won't be like "aw poor baby" (unless it's a real baby... even then, it's iffy cause I don't like kids much lol)

Meanwhile most sad movies can make me cry :P

I'm a Cancer moon in the 6th house. It aspects all the other planets except for the sun and Uranus, and the strongest aspect is the conjunction to Jupiter. I've never really felt much Cancer or Virgo in my personality though. The descriptions I've read don't really resonate with me at all. Not to say that the Cancer or Virgo vibes aren't there; it's just I don't really feel them. Maybe they're such a strong part of me that I don't notice it?

Moon in 4th in my birth chart. Tendency to be a homebody and lover of local community. I often don't even like to leave my neighborhood or my part of town for anything. And I don't for weeks at a time.

I gladly interact with people I don't know, freely and spontaneously. So I won't claim this position turns someone into an introvert by itself, but some Moon-in-4th folks may start treating home like a cave to hide in if they are depressed or give in to fear.

Both parents had a strong influence on me, but especially my mother.

I didn't begin to flourish until I found the place on this planet that is a true home for me here in Oregon, 2200 miles away. Portland is far more green, park or forest-filled, well rounded than any community I've ever lived in. I don't really have any love left for Texas where I was born, but do still like the city of my birth, Austin. It's not so different from Portland, just in the wrong state.

Moon in 4th seems to describe an instinct for insulating oneself from what is injurious in the world, for appreciating and building familial support or finding it elsewhere. A premium is placed on home as a safe place to fall, rest, be renewed in peace.

I have moon in the 3rd. I am deeply attached to my childhood next door neighbors whom I consider family, like my brothers. My kitchen door had a hallway to their kitchen door which was always open, I was always at their place, they were a big part of why my childhood was meaningful.

Moon in pisces in the 3rd, I feel this too plays into my career choice. As a therapist the focus is helping people identify their needs and emotions and helping them verbalize such. I am really good at putting into words intuitively what people are feeling and helping them verbalize how they feel.

Moon in 1st house

Family oriented which it's maybe due to my sun in capricorn.Plus moody, easily irritated, sensitive (smells, sounds, colors changes my mood) and I take things personally I have a quincux betwen moon and pluto and I also get obsessive with things and people.I also hate to be vulnerable and I don't show my emotions easily.I don't open up to people,I'm very reserved and secretive.

Moon-Saturn in the 9th, I *need* to argue about science (grand trine with Asc-Uranus and Jupiter-Mercury too) I get a lot of energy from fun debates! :-)

Also Moon is square Pluto (Saturn out of orb thankfully) so this makes me very psychic and all of my pioneering ideas have to be *felt* before the thoughts really crystalise. (Moon is in Cancer, Mercury is in Pisces)

Moon in pisces conjuct mars in 3rdhouse.My mind is always busy and my mood can change quickly. When i feel someone is being unfair to me or others i cant control myself ,even if i have no intention to react ,unjustice makes words come out of my mouth without being able to control my temper.3rd house ruler ,neptune is in 12 so i like communication but after a while i feel drained and want to be alone to be recharged.Moon conjucts 4rth house ruler, mars ,so i need to feel secure but to be honest ,arguments is something that i enjoy sometimes. Also i feel the need to express my feelings and thoughts very clearly ,detailed, and open to people i really care about and i find honesty one of the biggest virtues.

It's interesting you say all of this. It's quite different from my feeling.

I don't like the idea of staying put for too long. I prefer the freedom to go live wherever I wish, spur of the moment, even. I've lived in 2 countries so far, and plan to live in another soon enough once some paperwork is through. I like collecting passports. After a year or two in the next place, I already have my potential future places of residence in mind.
Even while living somewhere, I need to travel out of the country regularly. But, of course, I do have lazy periods or busy periods where I don't want to go anywhere. I can be a home body for a little while.
I'd move a lot more than I do now if I had more money.

For me, the whole planet, even galaxy - or universe, is my home. If sci-fi level easy space travel was a thing, I'd go to another livable planet just like that.
My appetite for travel and experience is unparalleled by anyone I've met so far. I often do these things alone cause no one I know of can keep up with me.

Pisces Moon in 8th trine Pluto and square Saturn. Sometimes I like to sit back and analyze people when they’re talking. I like to look and peoples dynamics and look at their social cues and interactions.

I am also sensitive to other people’s pain easily. I pick up on their emotions. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to the movies and we were running a bit late. He was standing in line to get popcorn and his Aries moon was kicking in and he was getting super impatient and was stressed and anxious because he didn’t want to miss the previews. I told him to take a deep breath and unstress because it was making me stressed and anxious as well. I have to tell that sometimes to my mom (Sagittarius moon) too as she does the same thing and I feel her anxieties. So I guess I pick up on other peoples feelings and emotions quite easily.

I don’t show my own emotions if I’m upset. I harbor them so I don’t bother others. I show my happiness readily and out in the open but I try to be tough when I’m upset or sad. It takes me a lot to talk about feelings of sadness.

I have a highly aspected Cap Moon 5H (my most aspected planet). I am very Leo except with work where I’m all Cap. I don’t tolerate childish behavior or anything less than what’s expected at work!
I look like a Leo and dress like a typical Leo (you’ll notice me..).
When I get angry, I get ******* angry but it’ll pass once my “drama” is out and over with. Just don’t try to be all “Libra” on me and think I’ll swallow my pride and talk it over in a diplomatic fashion. Just take a sidestep and let me cool off..
I like the “hunt” and will be turned off if being “hunted”; speaking dating/relationships. I am warm-hearted and will do all I can to help a fellow human but have set boundaries with children.
I don’t like to feel neglected and will expect credit when credit is due.

I like to work in a team and opposite to popular beliefs about Cap Moons, I won’t step on my mother’s future grave to get to the top! I think everyone can bring something to the table which will create the whole picture.

My dad is a Leo Moon.
I have a Leo Asc/Saturn + progressed Sun in Leo as well.

Oh yeah, much like real Lions, I don’t like hyenas. What I mean by that is: don’t be coming at me “in the dark” with BS and backstabbings. I have zero tolerance for manipulations or anything that isn’t presented in a normal, comprehensible fashion! If a person can manage to be open and straightforward, he/she will have come along way gaining me as a lifetime friend!

@Lerena my nephew also has Moon in Gem in 8th. But he is still a baby. But I do imagine Moon in 8th being "dark".

8th house being so dark and Moon being our comfort planet. That would mean that you are not squeamish nor faint of heart.

Does this mean that investigative journalism piques your interest?

This is classic 9th house. Lol

I myself have a stellium in 9th and seeing things from a realistic, "regular" person point of view is tough.

I always view the minor from a philosophical, analytical point of view. My close mates will often say "That's what a professor would say. But what would you say?"

I get you

Oh OK. I see now. The 11th house is impatient with the small stuff and is more "large scale" in essence(Jupiter/Neptune rules the Moon there). So I understand your impatience with people who throw pity parties.

Nelson Mandela had natal Moon in Scorpio in the 11th. He committed himself to group ideals 11th(ANC). And that started to combine with his identity-as is the case when the Moon is there(11th).

Thanks for this

The conjunction of Jupiter to Moon suggests that there is a profound effect that work accomplishment has on you. It takes being productive or committing yourself to getting stuff done, that makes u feel good.

How's your health? Moon in 6th health depends on moods.
