POST 150!!!! :-) And first post of Page 7!

Looked at the comments on those pics and, while I am not digging the whining over his presence in the stories, I do have to admit that "swagger-jacking" is an awesome word.

Regardes, dearie, good news! Apparently,2nd season is inevitable And Evil Queen's mother will be in it,too! (E!online)

***edit***

Seen the promo, again. Cindarella actress also has guest-star status,so maybe we will be seen more of Belle, maybe in end-of-season arc?
Also,Belle and Rumpelstiltskin meet because of Ogre War issue,so ao think this could be early Rumpelstiltskin, fresh as the dark one

YAAAAAAY!!!!!!

I'm excited.

I just really, really hope that they will not kill off Gold/Rumples. If he has to die, last episode.

To be honest, I found Cinderella really annoying and I don't really care for her much, so I'm kinda bummed that she's going to be in the next one.

And yay, we get to see the queen's mum!

Not THE queen mum, but *a* queen mum.

I wonder what she'll be like (and if she'll know Rumples).

thanks for the info, dearie!

My Virgo Merc is cringing... look at just how many spelling/grammar mistakes I make..
Dearie,we must be communicating on some higher level, for I am practically to be deciphered.

Oh,I noticed Randall hasn't posted. Maybe we scared him away

Maybe Queen's mom is a witch too,I think it is very probable that they play on that detail (often in fairytales, magic is a matter of genetics )

awwww don't think of them as mistakes...they're linguistic diversity! :-p

or "avant-garde letter combinations"

Yeah, I kinda noticed that we're the only ones here, but this is like my favorite thread of all time.

Other people out there, feel free to jump in, dearies!

As a side note, am seriously thinking of watching "Beauty and the Beast" this weekend.

Last night, I re-watched "The Price of Gold" (bought it on iTunes) and I couldn't help but crack up every time that Rumples said "I WILL have that baby".

Also couldn't get over how stupid Cinderella was for not even reading the contract first; she also came off as a gold-digger only out for money and didn't seem all that upset when her fairy godmother died as soon as she found out that Rumples could do the spell himself. Then again, though, I can relate to her wanting to not stay stuck in the same place forever and being worried about her future--I think that this is something many people can relate to right now due to the economy.

However, I was intrigued by Rumpelstiltskin's implication that the fairy's magic also would have a price.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the fairy was like a female Rumpelstiltskin, only better-coiffed?

And wouldn't it be interesting if there were other fairies like that? What their stories would be?

And what could magic relate to in the real world? Money? Power? Being well-connected?

I also feel torn about the whole contract. Yes, Rumpelstiltskin was taking advantage of her desperation. However, she let her desperation cloud her judgment and lead her into poor decision-making--something that I myself have done in the past and something that I've learned from, though obviously not in the same way that she did.

I also can't help but feel that technically, Rumpelstiltskin and Gold were in the right: she did sign a contract, and did make an agreement, and she should have to honor it. Yes, the terms of the agreement were shady, but Cinderella should have read the document thoroughly before putting her signature on the line. So, I'd say that both were at fault: Rumpelstiltskin/Gold for being a little shady and taking advantage of her emotional state, and Cinderella/Ashley for making bad decisions and not thinking things through.

Also, have to say, her prince was blah too. What is it with all of these boring princes? Grumpy is so cool, though. Plus, Amy Acker is playing his love interest, and she is amazing.

I would really love to see more of Grumpy and I can't wait for his episode. He'll probably end up being my favorite after Rumpelstiltskin/Gold.

*my last post leads me to wonder, too:

Rumpelstiltskin, as Zoso pointed out, also made a deal that he couldn't understand, when he became the Dark One.

Is he somehow a "victim becoming the oppressor"? That is, he was once in that situation, and now he makes others go through what he went through?

As with Cinderella, I feel bad for Rumpelstiltskin too but also frustrated that he, like her, didn't really research or learn what he was getting into. I think that this is a big message on the show: ignorance and lack of knowledge/awareness of the consequences of your actions will come back to harm you. That is, what you don't know CAN (and will) hurt you. I think too that it's a message against letting desperation and anxiety make decisions for you, something relevant to today, definitely.

And I cannot wait for the next episode. I wonder if it will give the implication that even love can't heal everything (which really is true, but sad and tragic), or, alternately, that love has the possibility for healing, but you have to be open to it: perhaps Rumpelstiltskin isn't open to Belle's love? Or maybe it will say that a person has to desire change for it to happen? Or else maybe the message will be that sometimes it is too late and a person is too far gone?

I'm really, really curious to see how their relationship plays out and what the show is trying to say by it.

One of these days, actually, I would like to write a few essays about the show, probably when the season is over so I'll have the whole season to look back on. (Ha, as if I haven't already done that on here--I mean something coherent, polished, and organized, though, and more objective/less fangirly).

I really have been wanting to write again about a few topics, explore them more deeply, and this has been good practice

Now only you should write essays, but post them,as well! On tumblr, for example. (I hear that's the cool place to blog )

I am not to say anything on Rumpelstiltskin til next episode,it should be a big puzzle piece.

Yes,what is it with damsels in distress and their lustre-lacking princes?

I am so into Stranger,bye-bye Charming!

/rant So I google OUAT the other day,to find some quotes, and I find Evil Queen's words :'Now she is cavorting with dwarves? When did that happen?'
I couldn't remember hearing that... So,I re-watch True North, and again- nothing! After obsessively searching for Queen's lines,I see that my recorder has cut off 10 seconds, where it seems she speaks to her Mirror. WHAT THE HELL! I was p!ssed,I hate when I miss something.

Anyway,I constantly change my view, after revising some episodes, and now it is certain that Queen came on court with revenge on her mind. (The thing you love most, her conversation with Malificent) So,when I said I felt she has wanted to be happy, scratch that She definitely wanted happiness, but that was denied by Snow, somehow, and it was pre-court.
Btw,Regina has considerable fandom,as well! hehehehe!

Now,Regardes,Sherlock.In Details.

Sherlock:

First, I've been having a really rough, emotional rollercoaster of a day, so I was grateful to have it left to finish as a very welcome distraction.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the scene in that episode with Moriarty. Moriarty is effing crazy! Very intense. Loved that. And of course the little flirting.

Good lord, first Rumples and now this. What is it with me and liking crazy and messed up characters? ;-)

I blame my Venus in Scorpio.

I love the atmosphere of the show, and I love the intricate details.

I also really enjoyed Sherlock's personality. I'm really fond of the character of Adrian Monk (from the show "Monk") and Sherlock reminds me of him in some ways. I love the dialouge too. I couldn't help but crack up at some of Sherlock's lines.

It's a bit dark, which I like, and I am very fond of mysteries.

I can't wait to see the next episode, and definitely can't wait to see what else Moriarty does.

Still, I'll take the stranger over David or that other one. Cinderella's boytoy, whatever his name is. That Guy. He doesn't really have any personality at all. Booorrrrring.

Then again, Cinderella isn't much of a prize either; neither she nor That Guy have that much of a personality, so they kind of belong together. Gawd, she is dumb and irritating. Why couldn't have Rumples spindle-shanked her instead of the fairy godmother?

Snow White, though, I do like. Mary Margaret, I like too. I'm a little bit annoyed with her for not standing up to David, but I still like her a lot, except for that. Plus, if she didn't have a flaw, she'd be a Mary Sue and annoy me.

If the stranger stops the "ooooh look at me I'm soooooo mysterious" thing, I'll probably like him more. Plus, I do have to admit, I like his clothing style. I like darker colors, especially black, but not goth/emo so much, so I'll give him props for his fashion choices. Mr. Gold, I like his style too--I love suits and he has interesting shirt/tie combinations.

That Guy and David don't really impress me style-wise.

Regina, though, I want her wardrobe like soooo bad.

HAHA yes, "consulting criminal" was a good line ;-).

And I'm very amused that Moriarty is a LIBRA! And a triple Libra to boot w/the Sun, Moon, and Mercury there!

I wonder what his ASC is?

And yes, it is an elegant show. Makes my Libra side happy, and the darker/mystery side of it makes my Scorpy side happy.

Yeah, that's it--Thomas. In the fairytale world. Don't remember his real-world name.

"That Guy" is more fitting, though. His character is as exciting as cardboard.

My take on the other male characters:

The King--Snow White's dad, played by Toby from "The West Wing"--was cool in how he let the genie free and he was a good friend, but not a good husband. Also was really dumb not to put two and two together and realize that DUH the wife got the mirror after the GENIE arrived. Also married the evil queen. Borderline between awesome and sucks; might fall slightly into 'sucks' category, but could possibly swing back to 'awesome' if he does something cool that is seen later in the show (something that takes place before his death, in flashback).

Syndey--sucks; backstabbing, dishonest

Rumples/Mr. Gold--

David--sucks

That Guy/Thomas--sucks; useless

Henry (the kid)--highly intelligent and inquisitive; doesn't irritate me as much as other child characters do sometimes, so he's awesome; used to annoy me more but this has lessened in recent episodes

Grumpy--awesome

Stealthy--also awesome, but sadly short-lived

David's dad, that other king--sucks; very selfish; pragmatic in a bad way

Jiminy Cricket: awkward, but has the guts to stand up to his family and to turn to good, so awesome

Stranger--irritates me a little, but does not bore me, so falls into 'awesome' territory

Hansel--he and Gretel are both really dumb, so sucks

Hansel's dad--he's Alex Krycek, and he did eventually man up and take responsibility for his kids, so awesome

**

I think that the female characters tend to be stronger and more well-rounded. Other than Cinderella, none of them annoy or bore me too much, and none are Mary Sues--not even MM. Emma has become more interesting to me as the series goes on.

If I recall correctly, Jane Espenson is also involved in this show, and she did "Battlestar Galactica" too (another favorite), so, yeah, *squee*

*edit* forgot that Kathryn/Abigail also annoys me, and is very flat as a character, but other than that, I think that the female characters on this show are pretty well-done

As for Jim Moriarty's Asc,I think it must be a very complimentary sign,to his strong Air. Water/Earth (like Virgo)

It would be very demanding to have all characters with depth. And very frustrating when they would need time to have their stories told. Naturally,as in life, somebody is lead role, other supporting. However,if supporting it doesn't mean they have to be boring, and TV shows don't really get this. Unlike films where supporters are often stars and carriers of film's notions.

If you have both lead and supporting roles filled with backstory, then you have small number of characters. Like Mad Men.

OUAT has its inspiration and material from fairytales, that are filled with moral, simple yet elegant in style. From what I see,it would be very heavy on my perception,(and I like heavy stuff) to have all these stories pumped up. So,I can live with occasional boredom As long stranger is hot,and Rumpelstiltskin posh

As for characters/depth: I don't expect them to expand on every character, and yeah, some should be supporting, but I kind of wish that they wouldn't put in characters who are stale just to advance the plot. Like, if a character is there, he/she should be interesting too. Like Kathryn, for example. Her only purpose is to make things with Snow and Charming/David and Mary Margaret more exciting. He doesn't love her--feels affection, maybe, but I don't see a deep love--so there's not even a love triangle. She's really vanilla and kind of annoying at times, so it's hard for me to even really feel sorry for her even though her husband is betraying her by being unfaithful. There's really nothing about her that makes me want to root for her or that makes me suspenseful as to whom David will end up with. She's just there to add tension.

Now other characters, on the other hand, at least are somewhat interesting. Ruby, I feel like there's more to her, and I want to know what Snow did to help her and why others would not help her. She hasn't had an important role yet in the story, but she at least makes me curious.

So, I guess what I mean is that I wish Kathryn was more like Ruby and less like a manhole cover.

OOOH that would be soooo cool!

It would also explain why Snow would help her when no one else would--if she felt sympathetic to the cause, and maybe others did not.

And, too, it would be neat to have an adventurous female character.

*sigh* waiting for next week's episode!

I'm not interested in football at all, so I'm not watching the Super Bowl. I might end up watching a movie or something.

I like how Ruby pulls off red colour
