Many have gone there for comfort and support, there's nothing wrong with that.

That's not what I was talking about.

But then, maybe it attracts the wrong people and so, gives the wrong message. It's like the Sacrel Chakra of LL and it has opened a vortex, though perhaps a different approach can fix the energy, if not, shut it down.

I've always viewed the forum as an opportunity to remove shame toward certain taboo topics, perhaps it can be made private and not viewable by the public as a password would be needed and NOT so readily available to newflakes. Make it tighter.

*clapping*

if you can put a password protection on one of the Astro forums, you can put on on the 18+ forum.

Why wasnt it done a long time ago?

When you know people more personally, who in private, have been dirty or trashy to you, or talked to you disrespectfully, you start to wonder why a forum like that would really be up here in the first place. It's unsettling.

I still say, I can't really see a need for it. People would be much better suited to a proffessional, or a mental health forum that specializes in their issue than on a forum like this.

Just my opinion.

Password protecting it isn't a viable solution, because it allows for acceptance of the graphic. I want the explicit part to stop. There shouldn't be an 18+ Forum. Although, that was more of a suggestion than a warning. If we keep it closed, we need a replacement. I like the 33 vibe. Suggestions for a new Forum would also be welcomed.

Nice dodge.

*free pass*

I'd get over the whole numerology aspect too. Or if anything knock off a few more forums to get it to a number you like.

IMO, there are still too many forums. They could be narrowed down quite a bit more.

we do not have professional skills in helping those with personal problems, we do however care about each other and that is enough for support. i have gotten support from sweet peas, and may ask for more in the future.

No! That's right, you don't!

(funny because it reminds me of the last closed thread)

Only close friends do.

It's personal.

I think as GG suggested the best option would be to keep the forum and have a sign while entering about not being explicit about some topics and if someone crosses the line they can be warned as in other forums, given an ultimatum if it continues and finally banned for a temporary period. I think controlling it step by step like any other forum could be ideal. It need not be deleted as some persons may need to discuss topics which they cannot otherwise do so in their community for some reasons whatsoever they may be. It gives a well needed ground to many persons.

Venus, what about an emotional support Forum? I do like the name Sweet Peas In The Rain, though. Maybe remove the long description and just put one sentence. Or start from scratch brand new. What sayeth ye?

Ohhhh, my beloved Sweet Peas, I wanted to be a moderator there, and I would have taken it seriously too, but all the slots were filled...
Well, I vote it comes back under better modship. And I like T's idea of converging forums. Some are unbelievably slow compared to others, but that's just a casual observation.

I used to think of it as the Pluto realm of Lindaland. Sacral Chakra as well, considering it was the bottom-most forum on the list.

charmainec: One member was constantly warned yet would continue with the crappy threads and sometimes encourage by a mod (who btw was just as guilty of starting "trashy" threads.

Ohhhh, someone I like a lot and someone I dislike a lot...

No, I don't. Nor do I know what you're trying to insinuate with all your "close friend" talk and whatever sh*t you vomit out. All you is cause paranoia and unpleasantness. What do see is how you take whatever opportunity possible to stir trouble. Nor do I understand why you expect people to drop what they doing just to reply to you because you have the time to post and then accuse them of all sorts crap making the situation worse. Other people have lives, ok and better things to do than feed your need for drama.
Don't try to drag me into your dark hole.
My life is good and I'm keeping it that way.

That made absolutely no sense.

I'm not in a dark hole either (thankfully!)

My life is also good. I hope you can keep yours going good too. You seem like a nice, well meaning girl, charmaine. I'm sorry you feel so strongly about me and things you don't know about.

I'm not a monster & have always wished the best for you.

Take care.

That is a good idea.

Things of that nature (mental health issues, death) used to go in Health and Healing. I still they could belong there too.

Maybe sweetpeas just needs to take a warm bath with sandalwood or a nice walk along the lake?

There are just too many that really don't need to be in seperate forums. Or many topics that could easily belong in about three forums at the same time. That's what I've noticed.

Maybe condense some of the ones that are already here - the more slow going ones?

Yes T I think with the description it can be confusing to know (for newbies) where to post what- just a simple support forum. Emphasize sensitivity instead of adult content.?

Ideas are moving and this is good.
