We need to balance your viewpoints. On the other side there is too much impassioned energy [which you have the right to be] and on the other there is different upbringing and unfamiliar with certain aspects.Its like arguing between a victim of intense racism vs one who barely experiences it/more or less oblivious Not good. You two will never agree on anything No AG , im talking about men who beg women to have sex with them and yell and shout because they dont want them. Why don't you let me decide what's appropriate for a Mod? They have to intervene when an argument gets out of hand, but they are entitled to their own diverse opinions just like anyone else here, and this includes minority and/or unpopular ones. It's called freedom of expression. IP: Logged |

This is a bit more controversial:I think one thing women in general may not realize about a large swath of American men is..they literally are in a sexual desert. And very very desperate to have sex, such thirsty dudes see some unexpecting woman as literally the only bottle of water in the Sahara and it leads to all manner of out of character behavior from normally decent enough fellas. A buddy of mine is soo deeply in that desert that he went from something of a male feminist to full on woman hating privately. People rarely get banned here. It takes a lot. Sand and Kerosene really pushed the proverbial envelope. Ami defends herself quite well without my help. This community strives to reach higher ideals than petty squabbles. Considering the high volume of members we have (all with a wide range of beliefs), we do a pretty good job of it.IP: Logged |

What I'm saying is, the responses seem far too personal than I'm comfortable with willing my thread to go.
I'd like to discuss my topic even thougn yet I admit hypocritically I attacked AG personally for his views earlier. Not really good on my part or his. I realize that. As far as the topic of the thread is concerned, it screams of vague generalities. I think most men are good persons. I have a lot of male comrades, and none of them have this type of entitlement mentality. I don't think that they are superior human beings; nor do I believe that they are rare or unusually different than the majority of the male populace. I have never known of or met any guy with that attitude. In fact, it's been quite the opposite (especially in college). That's not to downplay the experiences relayed by women on this thread. I have nothing against Ami. If you have not seen the abuse from her to many long-time decent and goodhearted members here, i'm not sure what to tell you! It's not my job to point it out. If you are one of the few here that love her and thinks she adds positivity, who am I to try to stop you or tell you otherwise?? I have seen her vicious side and generally try to ignore it for reasons I will leave unsaid. I'm glad she has a few fans here for her own fragile ego's sake! IP: Logged |
