I have yet again had the highly uncomfortable experience of meeting with someone I had not seen in years, to find them looking much older than myself. This particular person is actually some years younger than myself and the meeting was full of unspoken questions. I wish someone could really tell me how to deal with this situation.

"it's my genes!"
"aw, my mum had a baby-face and I inherited it"
"got Christ?" (Life is renewed as an eagle.)
"I drink a lot of olive oil"
"I do most of the cooking; steam and oil keep my face wet"

(if the subject doesn't come up, don't mention it-- you're both older... quietly, he already understands these things. you don't have to 'apologize'. you don't "have" to say anything.)

"I take vitamins."

Or as Jennifer Anniston says: "Hydrate hydrate hydrate."

I know that smug feeling one can get. Yes it is enjoyable if I see a picture in the paper of somebody I was at school with and they look much older than me, but it is a different matter up close and personal. I find it interesting that other people do not ever seem to have found themselves in this position.

Mak, perhaps not as profound as your experiences,I find this too. Mostly I note the tension in their face and weight. Why do many (most?) age with many added pounds. Both ages the heck out of them.

Also the guys are balding and the ladies are grey or coloring it a lot.

My genes should age me heavily (American Indian +Scotch) so it befuddles me.

Stress is the biggie. It trumps genetics.

Wow, I have never seen a group o immortals having a dIscussion before

This is my first time being exposed to the idea in such real terms but I resonate with it thoroughly.

I am seen as upto 10 years younger than I am. And I actually erm see it as a blessing. But there are not-so-fun quirks with me that I need to figure out

Btw to answer the original question, it's not lying, it's basically not shaking the belief structure of another person or group. Just let it be. Whenever they are ready, they will find the truth for themselves. You are basically doing it out of compassion and love.

And when you stop caring about others' so-called opinion. They cease to matter too. Aim to become internally strong in who you are, and external tends to resolve itself.

Bottom line: Don't be uncomfortable with it. In fact, don't think much of it. Act like it's the most natural thing in the world

Is somebody willing to be my immortality coach/guide pretty please?

Thanks Randall, I ordered the book

Would any of you lovely people tell me the ballpark of how old you are and how old you look?

I've always said that age is just a number. But it'd nice to see a real life example <3
