Proxieme- what a perfect day to bring this thread to the top!
Today was a fantabulous day because, I have been preoccupied lately with thoughts that my young body was letting me down. I had done a quick ultrasound bone density scan at a drugstore, and it said that my bones were well below the average for an almost 27 year old female.....apparently, equivalent to an 80 year olds.....AAAAHHH!!! So I saw my Dr. and she scheduled me an actual bone density scan.
I HAVE NORMAL BONES!!!!
I thought for sure, as I smoke, drink coffee, have had two children, both of whom I breastfed for a significant period of time, am of slight/slim build, and am female. The risk factors were there, so I was so nervous, walking *literally* on eggshells for a few weeks. I am super-dee-dooper-eeeelated!!!!!!!!! That is why my day is good. Wake up call though....I now take multivitamins and calcium pills, and take care of my body more as a temple than a receptacle. ( working on the coffee and cigarettes-they are hard to give up, and just so you know, I smoke away from the children-in garage or outside )

That is VERY cool -
wake-up calls in the nic of time are always a good thing.

TODAY WAS AN EVEN MORE FANTABULOUS DAY B/C -
I JUST GOT TWO LETTERS FROM JASON SENT FROM TRAINING!!!

He's still in in-processing and has been able to call 2x a day since Saturday...except that it appears that some Pvt. succeeded in getting their phone privileges revoked for the past two days, since neither I nor his Dad have heard from him either yesterday or today after he promised to call (and this Aqua Sun/Taurus Moon/Scorp Rising guy keeps his promises if he can find any way to do so).
Kinda sad - w/ the understanding that it happens - and made much happier by the missages

Today was a day so wondrous it rescued by faith in the Universe....

My evil (yes, evil.. its on a differnt thread) was fired and is going to be charged with Grand Theft Felony for his actions..

This is not revenge I am feeling, its faith restored that Justice, in its own time, with straighen the balances of ego and powertripping......this guy fired me "just because he could" not because of my performance....
Considering the state of the world these days, what has happened in my microcosm gives me the Knowing that unjustices are rightened, in the given time.

AND.. i received a check in the mail.. very nice when you are out of work.

Hey guys! Today was a fantabulous day because well, it just was! I am very lucky to be loved by many friends and family and things seem to be falling into place. I got a job offer and they are totally cool with my whole situation (that I still have to go to a program for 60 days, blah blah blah.) Also they will reimburse me for college which was a concern of mine.

And to top it all off...I'm head over heels for a Libra! It's not often someone touches my soul like this, I can have physical attraction sure, and being Aquarius I see the good in just about everyone, but this one, boy, I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I think of them

Groovy, D!
I'm glad to hear that things are looking so up for you

*sigh*
I wrote this all out last night, but then a pop-up came up and my computer froze...I had to restart, losing the massive amount that I had written. Here's the sum-up.

Jason's favorite holiday is Halloween, but he's going to miss it completely while in BCT. So, I got a pumpkin and decided that I was going to do that cool just-carving-off-the-skin thing in the shape of a Cobra Helicopter w/ the letters "USAR" underneath, take a picture of the finished product, and then send those pics to him (b/c a- he'll prolly get a kick outta it...gonna be a chopper pilot...and b- how upset can his drills really get about that?).
So, I did:

Then, once it got dark, I tried to take a pic w/ a candle in it...it looked GREAT in real life, like wax paper was streched over what would've been the plain holes, but this is what my POS digicam could get:

So, I then cut out the whole darn thing, and got this:

So, T(well, yesterday, but still)WAFD b/c I got that done.
And now my hand hurts.

aw!!

TWAFD because I started really studying my chart and was reminded of some areas I could use self improvement. No seriously, this is big, LOL! Sometimes it takes a lot for me to want to change but I see I need some growth in many areas.

Yesterday was cloudy, so as the light began to fade the sky just became a deeper shade of gray. I was sitting at my desk and one of my cats, little Dannion, jumped up for a cuddle. I held her, and noticed she was staring out the window with a very curious expression on her face. I live on what was once a farm, it's beautiful land, and from my window you see the lawn, the garden, and beyond there are woods and mountains. It's bucolic and idyllic.

I followed her gaze, and saw three beautiful adult deer grazing in what's left of the vegetable garden. It's maybe 10 yards from the house.
We watched them eat for a while, flipping their little white tails with abandon, they were relaxed and comfortable, even so close to the house.

Eventually they meandered off, over the hill and out of sight, but what a blessing to observe them so candidly! It was a thrill for me, and my cat had never seen such creatures before!

That sounds like an Absolutely Fantabulously beautiful day

My Grandma's land gets a lot of deer - it's always a little odd to see a herd grazing lazily on the hillside, and then just look up like, "Yeah, so - Hi, Human!"
(Nooot alot of hunting in Fairfax.)

TWAFD b/c I'm official now!
I got my permanent US Army Dependant I.D. and my permanent DoD car sticker.

Woo-hoo.

TWAFD b/c the Bert's Bee's stuff that I sent to Jason is shown as "delivered" as of 2:35 PM @ Fort Sill.

...now if he doesn't get this in a timely manner, those Drills are gonna have an angry pregnant woman to deal w/- and many (male) Drill Sgts, while tough in their own right, become completely disarmed when confronted w/ the mysteries of womanhood...esp. when that mystery has nutter hormones and a bulging belly.

(I say this b/c Jason has apparently NOT been getting his letters that I've been sending out every day.)

TWAFD b/c

It smelled wonderful outside, and the air - while warm - feels of Autumn.

Oh, oh! And I noticed that my belly button's getting more and more shallow.

Fuh-reaky.

Hey, Prox...just wanna suggest pure aloe vera gel smeared upon your growing belly in copious amounts to prevent stretch marks. As close to pure as you can find, which is usually around 95 to 98%.
You'll find as you get bigger, your belly skin will feel very tight, and it'll get itchy. YOU MUST NEVER SCRATCH IT, but rather grab your aloe vera gel and slather it on. The rubbing will soothe the itching and the aloe vera will nurish the skin at the time when it's needed the most. Cuz when it's itching, it's stretching. Since Aloe Vera encourages new cell growth, it helps your skin to grow with the stretching.

I did this when I was preggers, and I challange you to find any stretch marks on me belly. You won't be able too. (I have a couple, but they're just wee, and very very light)

Lioneye - Thanks for the advice
What do you think of vitamin E lotion?

trillian - What's up w/ the new cats who've decided to adopt you? I have heard nothing of this.

It's November 3rd and we're going to have a high topping 80 degrees F.
