That is always, always a good thing, Aph

TWAFD b/c

  • I got three letters from Jason (he's writing every day, but they get bunched up in the system and arrive at odd intervals)
  • I found the Commissary on Ft. Belvior w/ little to no difficulty.
  • There was absolutely flippin' gorgeous weather.
  • My belly button's changed since just this Friday! I was stretching and caught a glimpse of it turning almost into an outtie for a second. The "bottom", flat just a few days ago, now has a very definite little knob of flesh. It's sooo cool. I sat there playing with it while looking in the mirror for a good five minutes today (hey, 5th House Suns're good fer something - our kiddo's at least always gonna have a playmate around )

For how my day was messed-up, see lioneye's thread.

You are both so beautiful......truly. There is a clarity about you. So much in love it permeates the air around you too. Hold on to that when your breasts are engorged and leaking, the baby is crying, and Jason's working hard away from home. Those are the moments when it becomes clear to you what is really important. Happiness is easy, but harder to come by than the troubling times. You two are magic though ( so's your bellybutton, ha ha!) you will be awesome. You have such a positive soul, I feel I know you through the way you write, you are so open. Thank you for sharing your joy with us. ( By the way, now we can all say we've seen your womb! Not everyone can say that!) Thanks for those pictures. Such beauties, inside and out!

Thanks for sharing the pics, proxie, they're wonderful...I'm a wee bit envious of how in love you two are!

TWAFD because...all the cats only woke me once or twice last night...someone told me it looks like I lost weight ...and I just love rainy November days when the air is still warm and sweet. They make me feel a little melancholy but only in the sweetest way, a little wistful and dreamy and reflective...they bring out that Mars in Pisces I guess.

Aw, pixelp, thank you. We'll do our best.

trillian - Thank ya, thank ya
There's always work there, though - a conscious decision to try and understand the other.

TWAFD b/c I discovered a cache of music on the computer at work that includes Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Herbie Hancock, Santana, the Roots, Simon & Garfunkle, and a buncha other cool stuff.

I went to see "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" at the Old Globe Theater. It was a musical. The little girl who played Cindy Lou Who was amazing.

That is amazing, firestar

Holiday stage shows are the absolute best

TWAFD for me b/c
the baby really, really felt like having some Ben & Jerry's, and I felt that I would be remiss if I didn't oblige.
(Mmmm...toffee heath...)
And I rented "Rabbit Proof Fence", an interesting looking movie that I've been eyeing for ages but haven't picked up since I've been...um...not picking up that many rentals. Alas, I shall not watch it tonight, though, for I have become an eating, sleeping baby-making device, and if I do not get 8 hours of sleep a night I sorely regret it in the AM.
G'night, all.

TWAFD b/c I got _The Expectant Father_ in the mail for one of Jase's Christmas presents; it was recommended to me as a good "filler-inner" for him as he's so torn-up about missing a bunch of our pregnancy.
I've been reading it, and I must say that I'm a little jealous - it's more funny and has more goofy little facts than the ones for mothers-to-be.

*edit*
Ner der...I was going to put the other stuff that I got him, but there's a good chance that he'll read this once he gets home.

Oh, and
THERE'S LESS THAN A MONTH BEFORE HE'S DONE WITH TRAINING!!!

And, what else? I took a great walk up to the grocery store on this fine late-November day, got two letters from Jase, will go see "The Cat In the Hat" later on w/ my sis, and am about to watch "Amelie" and then comment on it as a favor to my roomie who's taking a film class (she's wondering if there's anything she's missed b/c she's watched it so many times).

And the stinky-butted-housecat hasn't sat on my arm.

All those are reasons that it has been a Fantabulous Day.
Thank you.

Oh, and the baby's moving much more now.
S/he seems to like movies and Italian food, and complains bitterly if I don't have anything on my stomach (yeah, must be a Taurus in the making )

Oh, Prox. The fun you'll have....

My kiddo didnt' like scary movies. She would flip around and around until I got up and walked away from them. But now, as a 13 year old, she loves them. She'll watch movies that are too creepy for me, and she doesn't even get nightmares. I, on the other hand, do.

Maybe she actually was excited about those scary movies, now that I think about it. Hmmm.

The babe will love Amelie...it's one of my favorites!

All that talk of "Immortal Beloved" made me want to see it again, so that's what I'll be watching sometime this weekend.

TWAFD...because, it's the end of November in Pennsylvania and it was 60 degrees....and I had a yummy cheese-free pizza with extra olives and hot peppers...and...just 'cause.

to all.

TWAFDB...I went for a little drive up by the university today, and checked out a little new-age shop that I had passed by a few times, and got to talking to the owner, a beautiful young lady from India, (she was born here, but her fam is from there)...Well, as it turns out, you can get palm, Taroh and tea-leaf readings there as well. So, I'm going to go again sometime this week and get one done. The lady who does the reading is apparently very gifted, she comes from a long line of "readers", so it's in her lineage. She's been doing it for 35 years, this lady.
I hoping she can help me figure out my love life dilemma. *sigh* She'll probably end up telling me it's all up to me.

Lioneye - that's quite cool.

TWAFD b/c the baby's hiccuping
(or kicking very regularly, but I don't think that that's it).

Prox...

Well that sure beats the heck outta Cindy Lou Who.
I don't think there are many things that can possibly beat marrying the best guy in the world and having a perfectly good excuse for eating ice cream.

So you got that guy...I've always wondered who got him. *s* Guess I'll just give up on trying to make my Gem be that guy and try to accept him for the liar that he is...LOL.

You know....I've never seen anyone GLOW as magnificently as you do by just reading your posts. You've actually brightened up my day, Proxieme w/child...Thank You.

Now make that baby happy and go eat something.

Today, being December 1st, is a Fantabulous day, because it is my son's Birthday! So I agree with Aphrodite, except for the small fact that it makes me the mother of a NINE YEAR OLD and a three year old. NINE!!! WOW! THAT'S BIG!

Nine, bah.
My poor Mom just had to deal w/ buying her youngest son's class ring & her eldest getting married and pregnant, and my step-mom swears that I'm single-handedly responsible for her getting bi-focals.

That's awesome, though, re: your son's birthday! Lil' Saggie.

Zerep - Yep DC has the highest HIV rate in the US; there were a number of cermonies, candlelight vigils, and speeches.

TWAFD fer me
b/c I found a pert dern good price on a '73 VW Bug heater box kit for Jase for Christmas.
And I'm almost done with x-mas shopping!!!
I only have 2 things left, and I know what they are and where I'ma gonna get them.
