Today was a fantabulous day because...

...BECAUSE THIS SEMESTER IS DONE!

Stick a fork in it, bay-bee.
>does white girl-can't-dance dance around library<
>sits down b/f she gets kicked out<

Ahem.
So, when I get home I'll dig through the papers, folders, and books on my floor to see if I can't find that recipe (btw: great looking one there, LunarG), AND I should be able to not feel guilty about posting some more Moon/Sun Sign combos instead of getting my school work done.
Why?

Wait for it...
wait for it...

BECAUSE I HAVE NO SCHOOL WORK TO DO!!!

Congrats Proxieme...

Today is great cuz my spring flowers are blooming and I have my eyes to see them, the nose to sniff them and some will end up in my belly and I will taste them.

Do you dry them and grind them, or just eat them? (The flowers, I mean.)

Today was a fantabulous day b/c I walked down through a regional park, propped myself on a gigantic boulder cliff overlooking the Occoquan River, and read E.O. Wilson's _The Future of Life_ for hours on end. The wind was constant but smooth and warm, and I could move in and out of the shade and sun as my skin demanded.
And I saw a little grey lizard eat a little grey moth.

And I found out that I got an "A" in my Nonviolence and Peace Studies course

In early spring I just pick em & pop them in my mouth; I can just taste and feel the sunshine on my tongue !! After I get my greedy fill, I dry in the sun and store for summer salads, teas & to rehydrate for other dishs.

And I found out that I got an "A" in my Nonviolence and Peace Studies course And my vote for the next president of the US is... ... Proxie! That is, if ya do a Saturday radio reading of E.O. Wilson to the mass`s.

That really awesome, juniperb

Do you know any good websites that talk about using wildflowers as food? How about dandelions?

If I ever become president, I shall do just that...the problem being that I'm not really too big on the thought of being in quite that position. Actually, I usu. dislike being a leader - if I'm pushed into it (as I am a silly amount of the time in class, etc.), so be it, but I surely don't seek it.
The other problem being that I'm not too great at getting led, either

OK.

TODAY WAS A FANTABULOUS DAY (for me) BECAUSE...

I really, really like my new job and all the people I'm working with. I was there for 9 hours today and didn't notice the time fly by. Everyone seems extremely willing to help my eager-for-know-how self learn, too

Also, right now its steadily raining with intermittant deep rolling thunder and flashing lighting. It sounds like I'm beside a healthy river.

Ach, I dinnae care if no one else wants to post on this thread.

>stands, digital self spread across computer screen<

I shall stride it as a great colossus.

Or something like that.

Today was a fantabulous day b/c it was grey and cold, so I packed up a bundle of DVDs and headed over to my Pop's and had a movie day w/ my little Cancer bro (the only other person that I know who'll watch a movie umpteen million times w/ me).

And, now, very now, there is a dude down in my living room who's waaay too good looking for anyone's good who's asked me if I wanted to go have a drink.
He's an old army buddy of my roomies, and is riding cross country on his kick-arse black and chrome motorcycle; he's most likely a Sag, so I should run.
I should run.
Yup.

Today was a fantabulous day because...

We had some great breakfast, Gem smoked his last cigaret (so he quit..yaay) and I was still 'allowed' to eat because tomorrow I will be on a diet (I gained because of quiting smoking last year Aug.). I am só happy for all these changes in my life!! But...it will be hard too!

Prox, what happened to the dude? Are you gonna see him again? I hope so!

Nah, not again, unless he drops back by on his Harley.

Today was a fantabulous day b/c

1. The goslings around my campus have gotten to the point of going, "Chi, chi, chi, ONK!" and then looking around in astonishment.

2. My friend loaned me Fela & Femi Kuti as well as Yoyo Ma to listen to...and not burn...

Today Is a Fantabulous Day Because . . .

I brought my lunch to work and did not eat out

Mesquite Turkey, Pepperjack Cheese, and Mayonnaise on a Poppyseed Kaiser Roll with a cold ripe Nectarine.

Yum. Simplicity at its freshest.

Today cuz I started my summer landscaping job on beautiful Torch Lake. The flower faeries and water sylphs welcomed me back
A sunburn, aching back and extra cash in my pocket. Goddess life is good!!

Today was a third fantabulous day in a row, of taking a 3-day weekend away with my partner to visit part of my family and our friends in a nearby city.

Three days of sunshine, wonderful old friends leading challenging lives, great food (and junk food -- which I never eat or buy, but indulged in for fun! ), and hanging out with my sister, her husband, and my five-year-old niece, who got a new little pink bike with training wheels.

Fantabulous for me is traveling and hanging with people you love, in the sun!!

Today was a fantabulous day because, if nothing else, Virginia's not in a drought

AND b/c, as I was just about to step into my room, one of my roomies said, "Sooo...whadidya think about George (the Harley guy)?"
"Um, he was cool."
"Ohh...he was...cool."
"Yup. Why?"
"Juuust wondering."
My Saggie rommate's such a dork.

Today was a fantabulous day b/c, through a series of serendipitous happenings, I'm going to be doing the website for GMU's Center for Field Studies.

AND my sis got a job today

Oh, and I started off my day by hugging a nearly naked guy. Always a good thing

TWAFD b/c...

...social scientists are a joy to work with.
(I mean that both sarcastically and not.)
I'm doing the techie stuff for the inaugural conference of GMU's Center for Social Complexity on Computational Social Science...
the first two speakers, due to start at 9, got in at 5 til.
Fun.
BUT, I'm getting paid to listen to lectures which others paid $500 a head to attend.

And the day continued to be fantabulous.
The event's manager said that she would request me again, and the guy who's going to head the new institute said that he was going to thank me publically tomorrow.
And, um, what else?
(I'm really tired - I slept from 12:30 AM - 3:30 AM lastnight; dunno why.)
The lectures were really interesting, and, apparently, there were a lot of people very well known w/i the social sciences there...
including this one prof from Johns Hopkins, who - I swear on, um, something - *is* Agent Smith grown about 60 years old and and become an economist. For half of his lecture I just sat there going, "Where...who does he remind me of?" And then it hit me with the enunciation of some particular word.

So, uh, yeah - it was cool.

Oh, and I got a free lunch

The other day was FANTABULOUS because....
It was 4:50 A.M....I was working on my book when my 'puter froze. Nothin'. Nada. Wouldn't respond to anything.
I was about to lose several pages of work.
Soooo, I left it on and later at work asked every engineer/web guy I could find if there might be a trick that would save my work. No, there isn't.

I went home that evening and the 'puter was still so frozen that the screen saver didn't even come on. So with a sigh, I shut the darn thing down.

And turned it back on with some trepidation, resigned to completely reworking the pages I had lost.

And it was a miracle. All that I had typed, was still there. I have no idea how or why, it's illogical, an anomoly so I'm told. But I don't care, I just profusely thanked the word druids, the angels, my higher self and all the powers that be for saving that for me!

It was quite a gift, making it an especially fantabulous day!
