TODAY, TODAY MY FRIENDS *in a very inspiring type tone liek henry the V St Crispen's day monologue* WAS A FANTABULOUS DAY! IT WAS, THIS DAY OF DAYS, A FANTABULOUS DAY, BECASUE A LOWLY FAN BECAME THE TRUSTED CARETAKER OF A ROCK AND ROLL TREASURE OF THE HIGHEST MOST IMPORTANT NATURE, A WOMAN, WHO HAS SINCE RETIRED FROM TEH MUSIC SCENE AND NOW RESIDES IN MY HUMBLE TOWN OF CLIFTON, BESTOWED UPON ME THE HONOR OF OWNING AN ORIGINAL RUN 1ST ALBUM FROM THE RAMONES, SIGNED BY THE ENTIRE BAND. YES, THIS DAY IS A FANTABULOUS DAY FOR I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A GIFT THAT COMES FROM THE HANDS OF MY ROCK AND ROLL HEROES. jOEY jOHNNY MARKY, AND DEE DEE! * slides record from sleve and approaches turn table* Joey, Dee Dee, this ones for you guys.... this ones for you *places needle on record, presses power* *The Blitzkrieg Bop vibrantly fills the room letting all who hear it know, that rock, although still mourning teh loss of its greatest contributors, rock is alive and well and every thing, no matter how bad it seems, how down it looks, no matter what the odds.... everything will be alright....*

Dude!
Ya'll wouldn't believe it...
This lady who used to be the road manager for a local band that opened for the Ramones (and b/c of that association became friends w/ all of the band members) found out about Jase's...interest...in the band and brought in a bunch of her stuff.
She had, among other things, an original, signed copy of their first album...which she gave to my Babe!
I had to hold him up - thought I was going to have to break out the smelling salts.
I brought my laptop and scanner, and I scanned a bunch of the stuff in as he went through it...
including a music notebook of DeeDee Ramone's:

(The Cover)

I scanned all of the pages.
It includes lyrics to a number of songs (including "The KKK Took My Baby Away") and a few never recorded.

Once I get them all edited (cropped, etc), I'll post the whole notebook up, along w/ the photos (save one, which could identify our patroness ).

Re Sylvan:

Do you also experience synchronicity? Things such as you have been on holiday in the same month (not summer), moved to a new location at the same time, having experienced the same things years ago at the same time? Or be exactly the opposite of each other?
Hrm. On that one: we had vastly differing early home environments/life experiences (ie - his dad's a Colonel, his Mom was a nurse, both vehemently anti-drug, anti-everything remotely smacking of counter-culture influence...my pop was a hippy, as was my mom, both having been - and to some extent being - heavily into drugs/counter-culture type stuff; his dad almost never drinks, mine's an alchoholic; it seems like his family's always been at least comfortably well off as long as he's been alive, I went through a stage of selling my stuff so that I could eat and working 40/hrs a week while in HS before I was 18, etc), but from all that we have come to very similar, if not the same, conclusions about life.
---EDIT---
As I said b/f, too, we're just so very much the same in many ways - and usually know what the other'll say before they say it - but also different. In some ways, where I yield, he doesn't, and vice-versa.
---EDIT---
And, odd fact, we both have *extremely sensitive* palates when it comes to alchohol - we can both taste it, and dislike it, in minute amounts.

Sharing the same frustration? Those things? But also sharing the same interest and tastes? And being completely and utterly fascinated by each other. So comfortable relaxed yet só excitingly interesting. Need I go on?
Exactly

You probably understood that I have similar experiences with Gem as to saying things at the same time and having telephatic communcication. Well, ugh , there is so much more but hey...that's private !
Heehee Yep, yep - I'll just say on my end that, um, a lot of other stuff...um...happens at the same time, too

Ok...I could shove them on a stick and roast them over the fire. Then I'll throw them back, k? Since I don't like them anyway. I know I'm so generous.

You won't even keep them if I throw over some Hershey's bars and Graham Crackers?

That's harsh, lioneye.

Thaaaat's OK.
More for me.

(BTW - thankya for the freshly roasted 'mellows )

*ducks as one's thrown...sailing off of the stick to merge w/ the side of something*

Oops. Sorry, N_w...(resisting the tempatation to make a comment that may be deamed inappropriate...damn 8th house Mercury.)

Ok, Prox... huck me the chocolate and stuff. I've never had 'smores. Maybe the marshmellows won't seem so sweet that way. Ah, well I'll just chase it with beer if it's too sweet.
