Aries Sun, Leo rising, and Aquarius Moon

Pot bores me to tears. I don't even bother. It gives me a sore throat and makes me eat. Who needs that?!?!

I like alcohol. It's fun. I used to be quite a lush when I was younger. I get really super friendly. I'm normally a bit shy in person (don't laugh). Alcohol knocks that right out and I make friends easily while tipsy.

i feel so lonely when i'm not with you ..it's such a shame that i'm spending my time without you ..yet i have found you're from a different world ..don't you understand we ride on a space-ship out of control, how sublime

you all are so funny, little pill heads each time i've ever taken E ive just felt bittersweet, meloncholy, i always get into to some serious talking and my sentimentality runs away with me and i feel a little sickly in my stomach like i ate too many sweets- my pisces venus may already have my sentimentality covered nicely... and then over the summer i took some MDMA "mollie" just a little bit of powder inside a gelcap and i was scared out of my mind. (with my lack of experience with it i couldnt be sure if it was mollie i took, but my two veteran friends who took it with me said it was totally righteous) i always thought i didnt like e because i never went out and did anything on it, just hung out at my place with some friends. this time i was at a camp out festival... it accually might have been the best set by this band i've ever see but i was truly scared and freightened in a way i never have been on a drug, and felt really awful for the next week--- it gave me some really far out thoughts about my situation loving two boys at once, really messed with my brain.

i must just be an old fashioned girl, but give me some quality LSD and i'm in hog heaven. i usually cry a river, but from a mixture of laughing and crying and joyfulness that is unique to any other experience, terribly refreshing every time.

oh yeah- scorp asc, taurus sun, virgo moon

that taurus keeps me very physically sensitive enough so that i only need a little of any substance to satisfy me- hell i get high off sudafed and i'm loopy for hours.
yeah, of course drinking can be fun, but i dont like being sick afterwards, and most recently that happens with just a few drinks, and before the night is even over
i'm a real pot fan, it spuns my thoughts around nice and quick and i like that... i think it would amplify my moon, becaues i get very discriminating and conscious of self, tho not necessarily selfconscious.

oh well staying (basically) clean as a whistle these days and very happy with myself

Warning: this is total science geek stuff I am about to spew:

Marijuana desensitizes the body and emotions to most experiences, which is why women do not become as compelling to you as when you are drinking. When I was looking at topics for my research, I had considering looking at the effects of marijuana on the reproductive system, specifically male along with the possible link between the occurance of children with ADD born to parents that were chronic users. There is already several studies underway and some completed concerning the linkage. Marijuana does affect the microtubules in sperm thus decreasing mobility.

Alcohol, increases the blood flow and results in a euphoria and excitability. The inhibitions are down and the person becomes more inclined to be more passionate or say things they would not say under certian circumstances. I would also tend to think that an increase in blood flow would occur over all areas, similar to being "flushed" or excited in other ways.

Hell, I am sure we all know the effects of beer goggles and judgement.

Hangovers suck. I find that there are times when I can drink like moderately and feel fine and there are other times when I can have one drink and feel like crud the next day.

For the women,

Do you find that the effect of drinking varies depending on your cycle? I find that I can get a bit more tipsy right before I start and can have almost no effect during the time. Anyone else?

Pidaua what you are talking about probably has to do with metabolism since it changes with hormones during menstruation and we must metabolize the alcohol differently. speaking of which I think a glass of wine is in order, I'll be right back

pidaua-that would explain my moods while drinking! Apparently, I also become very heated about certain things...the other night it was all about religious fanaticism.

Lost Leo-your need to charm sounds like a Leo to me! And, you had to know you'd get this response-why the "ew" comment?

N_wEvil- I take 2 ibuprofen with WATER before going to bed when drunk. If I can remember anyway. It works for me-no headache the next day!

Hi Oxychick and Fajita,

It sounds like we all have some fluctuating effects during the cycle time in relation to alcohol. Just think if the NIH and an Astrology society would fund a study that reviewed the effects of alcohol on women in relation to the cycle and also factored in various effects based on the woman's sun and moon sign?

That would be cool!!!!

Fajita, I think that you have something there regarding the metabolism. I wonder if the enzyme that is required to break down alcohol in the liver is somehow impaired by the flucuation of female hormones during the cycle. Does an increase in estrogen decrease the ADH levels and thereby cause a more intensified feeling or effect since the substance cannot be cleared out of the body as quickly as would normally occur?

Hmmmm, okay I being a total geek now! I love this stuff!

Leo,

You are one active dude. Have fun, be careful and remember you must be responsible. Sometimes Leo's are not aware of their own charm. Don't break anyones heart out there (especially your own). Don't just run after the first celeb that can make your sunny self purrrrrrr.

So, you must be in San Diego?

Take Care all!!!

Actually a couple of pints of water does me fine usually, when I remember to drink them!

I dont really like paracetomol, aspirins or ibuprofen...so i try to avoid taking them these days.

Well All,

Have a great night. I am finally out of here at a decent time. Seems I haven't left this place before 7:30pm in over 2 weeks!!!!!

I am on my way out to have a few margaritas with a fellow Sag, a Libra and a very hyper Capricorn. Should be fun.

LOL... Yes, Hyper-Capricorn!!!!! Lost Leo you are almost right, but then again I am used to being around very charming and outgoing Capricorns!

My father is quite the charmer and he is a total Capricorn, Cancer Moon with a Capricorn venus as well. Quite a Don Juan, which one would not think with Venus in that sign!

My Cappy friend has a Taurus moon and Sag Rising, which is probably why he appears to be so darm talkative and active. He really kept all of us rolling. His chart shows that he has his Mercury in Sag as well.

Being the science geek that I am, I love to watch the interactions of people when I know what their astro sign is. I like to see if they are true to form or if they are heavy into their rising sign. For me, I am reserved at first and really take in the situation (Virgo rising). Then, once I relax and get a feel for the place, I am more talkative and outgoing (Sag).

I had a great time, which was made even better by the fact that I actually found the last Body Shop that has the Spirit of Moonflowers perfume.

Anyway, I am spending an evening at home, trying to stay warm through this artic express we have going on here in the NE! I do miss So Cal, especially tonight after I watched that goofy movie "Orange County". Ahhh, to be back there again. It was riot, but it does make me miss so much about the beach, the people and my family.

At any rate, I hope everyone is having a great weekend and keeping notes on the effects of alcohol while cycling!

Take Care!

Libra Sun, Aries Rising , Capricorn Moon and I prefer pot more than anything else on a party. Alcohol makes me more social, yep, but since I`m very eloquent there`s really no need of more. Perhaps really my Aries Rising comes out while drinking, I always have to be the center of the attention, I`m getting funny and even more talkative, or dance like mad.. I`ve always considered alcohol having a very "earthy" effect on people..which I don`t like so much. Pot high has something heavenly, something from a different dimension, it is HIGHer and I like the feeling much more. Although it doesn`t make me chatty, I can still have a fine conversation and fun, and the way the music feels on pot is just amazing..I can dance like mad here, too However on pot I don´t need to be the center of all attention, on the contrary, it often feels uncomfortable. You can say I get really shy (Cappy Moon?). All I care about is the music and sharing thoughts (deep, philosophical ) with one to two friends.
I used to take E and speed for some years and although I had some unbelievable experience on ecstasy, it was not worth the price I had to pay afterwards. Considering the effect, they both had the effect of pot on me- more scilent and shy, dancing till I drop, drowning in the music. Only coke have had the (stronger) effect of alcohol, and so I didn`t like it that much.
So that were my two pence for the story
Wish all of you positive emotions without drugz !!
Love,
Venera
