Do you think Madonna wrote this about an Aqua? It was playing on my ride to work... fitting, I suppose...

To Have and Not To Hold

To have and not to hold
So hot, yet so cold
My heart is in your hand
And yet you never stand
Close enough for me to have my way

To love but not to keep
To laugh, not to weep
Your eyes, they go right through
And yet you never do
Anything to make me want to stay

Chorus:

Like a moth to a flame
Only I am to blame
Ba ba da ba ba ba
What can I do?
Ba ba da ba ba ba
I go straight to you
Ba ba da ba ba ba
I've been told
You're to have, not to hold

To look but not to see
To kiss but never be
The object of your desire
I'm walking on a wire
And there's no one at all
To break my fall

(chorus)

You're to have, not to hold
You're to have, not to hold

(chorus)

You're to have, not to hold
You're to have, not to hold
You're to have, not to hold
To break my heart

"Bothering about your birthdays": My experience last year with my Aqua: To my first surprise, a room filled with balloons, a candle on a slice of a chocolate cake, gifts, waited for me to open up the gifts, make a wish, eat my cake, and then to my 2nd surprise: (with a Scorpio Ascendant), bombarded me with an outburst of anger because I had been away for too long (and when I was there a month earlier he didn't have time to see me)...anyway, while he was giving me his sermon, he was giving me all the balloons and the rest, and then asked me to leave. Talking about emotional balance and control, and staying cool...unforgettable birthday!

Hey, this Aqua energy you talk of Crabplanet.... Could this be the same for a person with Venus in Aqua...

There's a colleague of mine (venus in aqua), that I am fascinated by and I always seem to feel their presence around me, for the last 18 months....

But strangely enough, I can't feel their energy around me this week. It's like something has spooked them off....

Whadya make of this??

Dooza, I don't really know with Venus in Aqua...Mine has his Venus + Mars in Aries, so I think it gives him more "aggressiveness", not typical for an Aqua...For the "feeling his presence", it would have to be seen in your synastry chart. Did you take a look?

Ah hippi. Did you ever see the film Seabiscuit?
And how they used to get that horse to win by pulling him alongside his rival and letting him see the whites of his eyes.....

Whatever happens you sound happy and the Pisces seems to be the reason.
And I don't think (judging by the length of this thread, that us Aquas make anyone happy..for long.
So I know where I would be staying, but you know us Aquas. Just when you thought it was safe....!!
Anyway how lovely to have a choice!!!

Good for you, hippi! Movin' on is movin' up!

Bunnies,

Nah... when we find the right person... it can happen. It goes that way for anyone, I suppose. But I don't think we are love's lonely red-haired step children, contrary to popular belief. We're just slow learners on the topic... but we'll get there, and it will be wonderful!

Don't worry ghan! I will never be cynical about love.I'm the worlds eternal optomist. If I have to shuffle towards the next "hope springs eternal" on a walking frame....you better believe it!
In fact I am going to a wedding to day.
It's my son's best friend and my son is the best man.
The bride has asked me to do a reading (really wanted her friend to do it but she lost her nerve)so they have asked bunnies (3 times wed and divorced)to do the reading
The Art of a Good Marriage!!!!
I guarantee I will cry (if I don't catch the eye of my daughter who will have one raised eyebrow!)
I LURVE all that hope for the future at weddings

And hippi! Are you kidding me?
I have always wanted to visit the (we do it bigger and better ) State of Texas.
Trust me. With my Leo rising, after a week there I will be whooping and hollering louder than any Texan.

And I'll be able to check out these two guys of yours.
Give you my professional opinion an' all!!
If you read this thread it's like the course of a river....ups and downs...bends and twists.
Hope springs eternal!!!

I think Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac must have written this song about a relationship with an Aqua Man.

Written by Christine McVie.

You can take me to paradise,
And then again you can be cold as ice
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice.

You can take me anytime you like,
I'll be around if you think you might love me baby,
And hold me tight.

Your mood is like a circus wheel,
You're changing all the time,
Sometimes I can't help but feel,
That I'm wasting all of my time.

Think I'm looking on the dark side,
But everyday you hurt my pride,
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice,
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice.

I just love that hippichick, your words are so true and honest. I love reading this thread, so much insight, you either love them, or you don't, I don't believe there's any inbetween, at least not in my case.

Ive been meaning to tell you that I took your advice on over ridding what my aqua guy said and it has worked like a charm. Seriously! he tried to pull the typical crap that he ALWAYS does which frustrates the hell out of me, but finally I just thought "No i am fed up with this crap"
Me: come over tonight
Him: I unfortunately have other plans
Me; Screw other plans! Come see me
Him: Lol, I'll call you in a bit

And he did. Amazing!! He actually called me for a change. But i dont understand it still. You'd think that if you liked someone you would want to see them and spend time with them, so why always the resisting or "playing hard to get" act? I don't really understand. Is it insecurity? But you'd think that having the person you like ask you to come them would make you feel secure about the whole thing. So why most it always be a struggle?

Im sorry everyone Im still trying to figure this whole aqua man thing out.
I have a general idea of why it is hard to deal with them but it is still somewhat vague. Earlier on someone posted that we are drawn in and then hurt by them because the start off charismatic and then become aloof and detached. When does this start to happen? What does detached mean? physically? emotionally? both? How does it happen/start? A relationship starts and everything is fine and then all of a sudden he doesnt have time for you or never calls or is there but not mentally? I am still confused about all of this. I know everyone says detachment and lack of emotions but could someone please specify or give an example of this please?
Also how do u start a relationship with an aqua exactly? If they do in fact act the opposite of how they feel when they like someone then wouldn't they try to resist a relationship? or will they give in if you make the move? and what move do you make? OOOOh so many questions. sorry ladies im just so curious about all of this and am not really sure what im getting myself into right now.

ps when are we meeting for our shindig in TX? ;D

Hi hun! Like I said previously (pages back!)
your Aqua will have decided quite early on the level of the relationship and will stick with the level he feels comfortable with (Fixed)
Any attempts to coerce him forward will meet strong resistance (think flighty horse)

"Forward Neddy" head begins to pull back

"C'mon boy" pull on reins, front legs come up.

"Move you b*****d"
Full rearing position, reins dragged out of your hand and a swift gallop off towards the hills!
Now there are two courses of action with flighty horses.
Calm assertive forward pressure. Minimal talking. A firm "Walk on" will suffice, or..
Loosen reins completely, horse will gallop off flicking heels. After a few circuits, head will go down and he will sheepishly return to stand by you.
Purchase a horse whispering manual pjeff!
Apply said techniques to Aquarian.

Or the ultimate. Can work brilliantly or completely blow up in your face.

Apply ultimate pressure. Back him into a corner. Do not accept any refusal. Bombard him with attention and then just when he is cowering in corner...detach... withdraw....completely...no response AT ALL!
Play the little bugger at his own game.

Completely freaks us out!!!

hahaha Bunnie you crack me up!

Ok so just out of curiosity how long does it generally take for an aqua to come around? I have applied absolutely no pressure at all up this point and nothing has happened. I have read numerous times that when an aqua likes someone they will ignore them, do the opposite of how they feel blah blah blah. So I figured its up to me to get the ball rolling, so im trying to figure out how to give him enough of a shove to let him know im interested but not a threat. Hell ive waited this long i can wait some more. I just want to make sure im actually waiting for something. I dont want to press to hard that it will frighten him away, but enough so that he gets the picture. I know one of us has to make a move or else nothing will ever happen and all will be for not, and knowing that he is an aqua sun venus capricorn I know it is pretty much up to me to make the move. I just want to figure out a way to do it without coming on to strong (to strong for an aqua that is). God this is exhausting!! Lol
