Mirandee, all the butt-kissing for the Fab Four aside, you really haven't read much of what's been going on here, have you? You have not mentioned GG at all, so that just tells me that you are here to bring more conflict without knowing what you're talking about. You seemed to have described CE (conflict over Kathleen) and the shoutbox (chit-chat and butt-kissing) to a "T." If not for your unhealthy obsession with thinking someone is someone else (for which you should and probably will be sued), there would have been hardly any activity at all at your "more spiritual" home the past few weeks. If CE claims the moral high ground, they should live it. The rules DO apply to all at LL. GU is given more leeway during the occasional argument due to the nature of the material. And Jwhop only reacts. He is the protagonist. We have several antagonists. Amazing that the antagonists actually think they are the star of the show. Dumbfounding! And yes, it is quite an insult to call military men murderers when we have so many of them (and their spouses) on our Boards. If you are going to become embroiled in our little squabbles, get some of your facts straight, or else just stay over there playing butt-licking games with Daffy Duck. Catch my drift? Harsh? I don't think so. Not harsh enough. I'm tired of you popping up your little head to throw monkey poop on us at every opportunity. Libel is a crime, and I hope you and your merry band of thieves enjoy what is oh so soon coming to you. I know I will.

For a long time LL has felt like home to me.

But now I feel thoroughly disappointed with the behavior of several people here I once looked up to. Believe it or not, this includes you Randall- I looked up to you for creating this site, and for choosing one of the most beautiful quotes from Gooberz on the home page.....etc.

Just because I am brave enough to give people my honest opinions, or air my concerns, does not mean I have no respect. I truly feel I have always made an effort to keep it as respectful as possible. This is not easy over the internet- after all, all we have are words to go by. You can't hear a person's tone of voice or see their body language, etc. So I can understand how these misunderstandings arise so often.

I am disappointed at the biases here. Now some people may say this includes me, but actually I wouldn't be doing something only for that reason. So people can think what they like. As we have seen by their recent posts, BlueRoamer and AG are only interested in thinking for themselves, and I feel they made some very good points.

When I speak of biases, I am not applying this to everyone, as I feel there are indeed some who are making at least an effort to see things from different sides.

I don't know why you had to bring up posting on GG thread again, Randall- that has been done and dusted. Apologies have been made, and I believe she would rather move on now than have people keep bringing it up.......

Why am I even bothering to type this up....I don't know.

Trying to get some understanding out of some is like trying to get blood out of a stone.

LTT, it was brought up because Mirandee in her "more spiritual" wisdom (or perhaps her haste to make a comment without reading all the information herself instead of just relying on the biased word of others) chose to take a jab at our whole community, so I thought she should be reminded of the real cause of the feather-ruffling. If you truly had the respect that you claim, you wouldn't cheerlead for others by posting thumbs-ups and hearts showing your approval not for peace but for conflict. You can't stoop in the poop and then run to holy high ground not expecting to have gotten some on your shoes.

"Hillary and O'Bomber, the Marxist Dud Duo"
True, both are duds and both are Marxists.

Tell Me Congress Isn't Full of Socialists and Communists
True, Hillary and O'Bomber are both in Congress as is Bernie Sanders. The "Progressive Caucus" is a socialist group of congressional members including Nancy Pee-lousi.

Hillary's Radical Skeletons
True. Hillary studied at the feet of a dedicated communist agitator and activist and wrote her thesis based on his birdbrained communist theories...Saul Alinsky.

Who Would the Terrorists Vote For??
True. Top terrorist leaders have expressed a preference for the cut and run cowardly demoscats...going back to the 2004 elections.

Conservatives Almost Twice as Happy as Leftists
True. Leftists spend their days and nights screeching in fits of juvenile rage that America won't accept their vision of a socialist gulag state. I'm a conservative and I'm very happy, especially when I'm kicking lying leftist as$es. Other conservatives I know are equally happy.

Top Psychiatrist Concludes Liberals Clinically Nuts
True. Dr Rossiter delivered that opinion. He cited the reasons which propelled him to his clinical diagnosis of the Clinically Nuts status of liberals. For reasons of brevity, most people lump liberals and leftists into the same category. Leftists are really socialists and communists...like Hillary and O'Bomber. Liberals are reasonable, loveable, truthful, love America, love the rule of law..etc, etc, etc. Liberals are everything good which leftists most certainly are not.

Didn't your mommy teach you that whining and sucking your thumb creates a very negative image...especially for someone who claims to be an adult?

We know how you like to rationalize labels that aren't true. Sorry. Try again.

quote:

I don't see anyone whine more than you, Jwhop. Every one of your anti-Democrat/Left/Leftist posts/threads indicates your inability to cope with the more popular party in American politics. You don't like it, you campaign against them, you show no tolerance for them whatsoever. To accuse those who do no such railing against your party of whining is highly hypocritical on your part.

So, yes, my mommy did teach me that. Did your mommy teach you that? And more importantly, did you listen?

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves:
be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
~ Matthew 10:16

On Children
Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let our bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

The Holy Longing
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Tell a wise person or else keep silent
For the everyman will mock it right away.
I praise what is truly alive
And what longs to be burned to death.
In the calm waters of the love nights
Where you were begotten,
Where you have begotten,
A strange feeling comes over you
When you see the silent candle burning.
Now you are no longer caught in this obsession with darkness
And a desire for higher lovemaking sweeps you upward.
Distance does not make you falter.
And now, arriving in magic, flying
and finally, insane for the light
You are the butterfly.
And you are gone.
And so long as you haven't experienced this,
To die and so to grow,
You are only a troubled guest on a dark earth.

"Nietzsche wanted to 'awaken the highest suspicion against himself',
explaining that 'to the humanity of a teacher belongs the duty of warning his students against himself'."

"Truth is infinitely more than scientific correctness. Communication, too, points to this more.
Communication is the way to truth in all its forms. Thus the intellect finds clarity only in discussion."

"If my lectures do not come even close to satisfying these demands, it is still essential that the ideal of one's concerns be recognized. One can take courage to try to do that which passes beyond his strength from the fact that it is a human problem, and man is that creature which poses problems beyond his powers. And also from this, that whoever even once thought he heard softly the authentic philosophic note, can never tire of trying to communicate it."

"In every generation there are two or three who are sacrificed for the others,
who discover in frightful suffering what others shall profit by."

"There is something in me which might have been great,
but due to the unfavorable market, I am only worth a little."

"When, in a generation, a thunderstorm begins to threaten, individuals like me appear."

~ Soren Kierkegaard

"Nietzsche knew himself to be an exception, spoke 'in favor of the exception, so long as it never wants to become the rule'.
He required of the philosopher 'that he take care of the rule, since he is the exception.'"

"This exceptionality, which was as excruciating to them as it was the unique requirement of their problem,
they characterized -- and here again they agree -- as pure mentality, as though they were deprived of any authentic life.
Kierkegaard said that he was 'in almost every physical respect deprived of the conditions for being a whole man.'
He had never lived except as mind. He had never been a man: at very most, child and youth. He lacked 'the animal side of humanity'.
His melancholy carried him almost to the 'edge of imbecility' and was 'something that he could conceal as long as he was independent,
but made him useless for any service where he could not himself determine everything'."

"Nietzsche experienced his own pure mentality as 'through excess of light, through his radiance, condemned to be, not to love,'.
He expressed it convulsively in the 'Nightsong' of Zarathustra: 'Light I am; ah! would that I were NIGHT!... I live in my own light...'"

"Nietzsche compared himself to a fir tree on the heights overlooking an abyss:
'Lonely! Who dares to be a guest here? Perhaps a bird of prey, gloating in the hair of the branches....'.
And Kierkegaard: 'Like a lonely fir tree, egotistically isolated, looking toward something higher,
I stand alone, throwing no shadow, only the wood dove building its nest in my branches.'"

"Nietzsche compared himself to the 'scratchings which an unknown power makes on paper, in order to test a new pen'.

The positive value of his illness is his standing problem.

Kierkegaard thought he indeed 'would be erased by God's mighty hand, extinguished as an unsuccessful experiment.'
... He felt like an 'interjection in speaking, without influence upon the sentence.'"

"In great contrast to the abandonment, failure, and contingency of their existence, was the growing consciousness in the course of their lives of the meaning, sense, and necessity of all that happened to them.

Kierkegaard called it Providence. He recognized the divine in it: 'That everything that happens, is said, goes on, and so forth, is portentious: the factual continually changes itself to mean something far higher.' The factual, for him, is not something to abstract oneself from, but rather something to be penetrated until God himself gives the meaning. Even what he himself did became clear to him only later. It was 'the extra which I do not owe to myself but to Providence. It shows itself continually in such a fashion that even what I do out of the greatest possible conviction, afterwards I understand far better,'.

Nietzsche called it Chance. And he was concerned to use chance. For him 'sublime chance' ruled existence. 'The man of highest spirituality and power feels himself grown for every chance, but also inside a snowfall of contingencies,'. But this contingency increasingly took on, for Nietzsche, a remarkable meaning: 'What you call chance -- you yourself are that which befalls and astonishes you,'. Throughout his life, he found intimations of how chance events which were of the greatest importance to him carried a secret meaning, and in the end he wrote: 'There is no more chance,'."

Don't need to try again acoustic. I hit the target the first time. You, and other leftists here have been sucking your thumbs and whining about me off and on for about 5 years...with no visible results to show for your juvenile tactics.

Now acoustic, what's that definition of insanity...oh yeah, "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result."

I like it acoustic. At least it keeps you and the rest of the "Whiners Brigade" busy and off the streets.

Now there's a rationalization if ever I heard one. You believe I'm whining when I post articles and comments about leftist politicians, their hypocrisy, their violation of ethics, US law, lack of common sense, lack of knowledge of economic policy, foreign policy and virtually everything else...along with the source of their political beliefs? Hahahaha

Have you every heard the phrase..."the people's right to know"? What I'm doing acoustic is acting in the greatest traditions of the "people's right to know" and I'm telling the truth about them. You and the rest of the whiners have gotten your sorry as$es kicked...not for telling the truth but for your blatant and incessant lying.

Using your nonsense definition of whining acoustic, you would say that Paul Revere was whining when he said..."The British are coming", "The British are coming"

Grow up, you're only reinforcing your image as a thumbsucking whiner.

Oh good Lord Jwhop!

I catch you in the most egregious spinning, and this is what you believe of yourself? It's laughable really.

quote:

Thanks for pointing out your behavior has been bad for a really long time. There's nothing quite like getting it straight from the horse's mouth. Thanks for also showing that you've made no progress on this issue for that amount of time.

Busy like posting the most threads of anyone in the history of GU?

quote:

Absolutely. If you had any peace about it you wouldn't feel compelled to post so prolifically. There's a lot of security in having confidence in your beliefs. I don't get that from you, though. What I get is an overwhelming nervousness that the Left may be right about something, and you trying your best to prevent anyone from gaining a positive perspective on the Left. Of course, in the process you make the Left look positive in that they aren't nearly as vitriolic as you, so you really shoot yourself in the foot as far as I'm concerned.

quote:

Like the "Democrat Congress"? Yeah, you haven't been able to accurately portray them for quite some time, and with the truth being so simple, it's a wonder why you'd even posture as if your stance is reasonable.

Imagine what numbers I could compile if I were going at it full time, like you...instead of merely multitasking here while taking care of business online. I can't help it acoustic if you are just intellectually less nimble than I.

Now I remember why I had to demote you several times acoustic. You started out as Acoustic God and just look at you now. I suppose I could make a further demotion but your screen name lacks the requisite S which would perfectly describe you. I could go with caustic but you're too anemic for a strong word like that. Using your reasoning, perhaps you should just shut your pie hole, stop your incessant whining and let me self destruct. Of course, that would never occur to someone with their left brain burned out...that is if you really believed drawing attention to the sorry state of brain dead leftist political deficiencies actually helped them...which you don't.

As every article I post proves beyond doubt, I've got the demoscat congress pegged in the right "phew" and a very stinky "phew" it is. The truth is simple acoustic. You should try some instead of posting bullshiiit and lies about the United States...you and your thumbsucking whiner friends.

It's really getting to you isn't it acoustic You're obsessed and over invested. Your constant whining only proves it. I'm doing my job plus half another guy's job while he's out for a week, so that's a pretty ironically timed statement. (Not to mention a Gemini ascendant will produce a better multi-tasker than a Scorpio Ascendant any day.)

That's the silliest notion you've come up with in quite awhile. You've never had a chance at kicking my butt. It's never been put on the table for you to take advantage of. Quite a few people here have tried only to find me more resilient than they imagined.

I do actually have other things to be getting to, but you know, I'm game if you're game. Tell me again who's provoking, and who's being provoked.

Vicious, you hit me with a flower
You do it every hour
Oh, baby you're so vicious
Vicious, you want me to hit you with a stick
But all I've got is a guitar pick
Oh baby, you're so vicious

When I watch you come, baby, I just want to run far away
You're not the kind of person around I want to stay
When I see you walking down the street
I step on your hands and I mangle your feet
You're not the kind of person that I want to meet
Baby, oh you're so vicious, you're so vicious

Vicious, you hit me with a flower
You do it every hour
Oh, baby you're so vicious
Vicious, hey why don't you swallow razor blades
You must think that I'm some kind of gay blade
But baby, you're so vicious

When I see you coming I just have to run
You're not good and you certainly aren't very much fun
When I see you walking down the street
I step on your hand and I mangle your feet
You're not the kind of person that I'd even want to meet
'Cause you're so vicious, baby, you're so vicious
Vicious, vicious...

The movie will begin in five moments
The mindless voice announced
All those unseated will await the next show.

We filed slowly, languidly into the hall
The auditorium was vast and silent
As we seated and were darkened, the voice continued.

The program for this evening is not new
You've seen this entertainment through and through
You've seen your birth your life and death
you might recall all of the rest
Did you have a good world when you died?
Enough to base a movie on?

I'm getting out of here
Where are you going?
To the other side of morning
Please don't chase the clouds, pagodas

Her **** gripped him like a warm, friendly hand.

It's alright, all your friends are here
When can I meet them?
After you've eaten
I'm not hungry
Oh, we meant beaten

Silver stream, silvery scream
Oooooh, impossible concentration.
