Wrong.YTA also has aspergers and he is very funny. I have a big sense of humor and have been encouraged to try stand up comedy.

You can be funny every so often, but I have never found YTA to be funny. Maybe I missed all those posts.

Are we talking about the same person?

Snobby McSnobbenberger?

Yeah, no. Not funny. Except to himself and you.

aquaguy91: interesting. what do you think the feminists are doing?

I'll tell you what they are not! They are not trying usurp power from men, enslave men, or any otherwise mysandrist activities like that.

Feminism is about equality. Period. Equality does not mean women will rise up and defeat men, it means women will rise up and actually be allowed to be on the same level as men. Anyone who has intentions beyond that is not to be taken as the picture of feminism.

Yessss, us feminists can set the world straight!

Our dear AG here once called someone a feminazi. Hi ho ladies this guy will love and respect you forever as long as you are against feminism aka the battle for your rights!

Well said.

& yes, balancing is needed in many areas, not just men and women's rights in the traditional sense. But men who are women and women who are men too. And those who are not either.

It will all come full circle and all balance out eventually. What a slow process here down on this planet earth though? Too slow for me! Its painfully slow (yeah, a Taurus said that: "too slow" lol )

Why is it so hard for you to face up to the facts? Why such a hardcore stance against women? Seeing as you'd like to find a good one, I don't know how your deadset against them opinion is going to help you in that endeavor. You really think men have a terrible time in this world - this western world even! And women are the enemy? Is that really it? They are effing it up for you all?

talking about womens rights in 2013 is just ridiculous... it was an issue a few decades ago but not now, not in the western world. now women in the middle east, yeah they are opressed and have legitimate gripes, lots of them actually.

Is it really that painful to hold a door open for a female? Pull out a chair for her? Be chivalrous in some way? I guess if it's not in your heart and you arent doing it out of kindness it seems arduous,.... it seems in your mind like you are a sucker?

Sucks to be you.

If doing things like that makes you feel like less of a man, I feel sorry for you. Maybe when you get older you will understand this "dance" more. There's nothing wrong with it. It can actually be quite beautiful.

Not any more, and you should be as happy about that as I am.

You have talked about women avoiding you because you were a man. That is a product of both types of sexism, something feminism strives to abolish. Yes, you are affected by patriarchy! Patriarchy takes advantage of women, and in turn, women can become afraid of being taken advantage of. And who do they fear? The men that cash in on all this taking advantage of.

You shouldn't be angry at her for avoiding you, you should be angry at the fact she has to feel like she needs to avoid you.

what hardcore stance? I'm simply stating the facts, women here in the western world have all the rights that men have. no i never said that, i was simply stating that men have grievances too. show me acts of misogny and discrimination against women and i can point out discrimination against men. it goes both ways. its just like my comments that got this whole argument started. I pointed out that calling a woman the c word cant be misogynistic or sexist because men and women alike call men the D word openly. see? it goes both ways.

I think I must have had a ton of lives as a man, as I see the whole courting/chivalry thing as so exciting and lovely. I'd be such a good boyfriend. LOL I'd be sending flowers every day and playing love songs, writing poems, spoiling, or making her feel loved in some way all the time. It would not lessen me in any way to treat any woman as a queen. And as a straight female in this lifetime, I treat any man I've been in a relationship with the same exact way. I guess that's why I have a hard time understanding where ag is coming from sometimes. Why can you not appreciate the beauty and fun of it all?

No T I actually dont mind doing that stuff at all. I was just making a point that women dont have it nearly as bad as they think they do. Men could have collectively quit doing that stuff but we didnt and probably never will.

Maybe in five or so years I will get back to you. We'll see where you are then.

At this point, I don't think it's worth wasting any more time on you.

I do wish you the best though. Once you can break down some of those walls, I bet you'd make a great partner.

^Couldn't agree more T - I think I'm going to bake some 2:30 am cookies.

Have I ever told you that I think you have some of the best ideas ever? Not just now but overall, unpopular as they may be to other users, but truthful and with acuity.

well T you gotta realize that if you actually did do that you would be"trying too hard". And the girl who you were sweet on would date a guy who didnt do that and complain about the fact that he wasnt thoughtful
like T .

You have to do it from your heart and not with any other intentions in mind. Put your heart out there. If it gets stomped on again, it will only make it stronger. Walk away knowing she wasnt the one for you and romance some other girl. No loving deed goes wasted. It will make you a better man in the long run.
