It does indeed sound wonderful weeseldad! Ga. is a beautiful state and a vacation does the heart good. Bless your father-in-law and have a safe trip.

Lialei, I live by Lake Michigan and hope you got to drink from her beauty. Rainbow and I would share descriptions of our sunsets and we decided they are the most beautiful imaginable.

Ginny and my sister shared the same b`day, Jan. 16th. As the sunsets each night, I send prayers winging their way.

Thank you both for the love, prayers and patience

JB, no thanks needed. If we cannot give love, find patience or offer a prayer when those things are needed, we are not deserving of the title: human. As always, write when you can. Maybe we can share more in the fall, when things are cooler.
LL; best of luck on your trip. May things work out as they are meant to.
For both.....

Hey, y'all, I just thought I'd see how everyone is.
The trip to Ga. was a lot of fun and worth the time. My parents in law got to see their oldest and youngest grandaughters for the first time. The oldest was in HI. until last year and the youngest is just six months old. It is so good to see family when you don't get to go often.
I hope you guys are doing well this summer.
Do you know what happens if you go out into the middle of a meadow or clearing in the woods, and be very quiet and turn all the way around very slowly? God will let you see and hear the things that we need to when we remember to do just that.
Try it.

Greetings! A lot of water has passed under the bridge since last meeting.

Harvest time is near and time to reap the rewards of another planting.

The weather has run amok and only the hardyest crops have survived. I thank God for them and know in the cold of winter, our tummy will be full.

Indeed, I see the Emerging. Am keeping eye for the "new kind of light in the air" (green).

, It is good to see you again. I have been concerned of late because of all of the strange goings on in the country. I believe that the things that we know of are coming together at an increasing rate. Are you of like mind? At any rate, I look forward to the Fall. As you know, it is my favorite time of year. Give my love to your family and write when you will. For now....

I have to come on tonight because I have been thinking about what's been happening lately and I am compelled to post some thoughts. What follows are some small offerings that I have written over a long period of time. I hope y'all at least get a chuckle or thought from these.

FANTASY=CHILDHOOD
Gossamer wings and silver
Clouds are the dreams
Of a child.
But is this not a truer
World than we have?
If these are gone, what
is left?
Can you imagine growing up
Without Santa and the Elves?
Who can dream if the
Easter Bunny dies or magic
Pumpkins don't exist?
Without Fantasy there can be
No teality.
If fairy-tales were banned,
The world would die.
Because if Fantasia is killed,
It would be
Childhoods" End.

TWILIGHT THOUGHTS

IN THESE DAYS OF TROUBLE AND STRIFE

IT IS INDEED RARE AND WONDERFUL

TO FIND THE TIME TO

STAND IN A MEADOW FOR A WHOLE

AFTERNOON AND LISTEN TO

THE SUNLIGHT FALLING ON TE GRASS

ALONE NOW, I SIT AND WONDER

WHERE THE DAY HAS

GONE.

THE CHILDREN ARE ALL TUCKED,

CAN IT BE NINE?

( CHILDREN; LAMPS THEY BE;

TO LIGHT YOUR WAY TO OLD AGE.)

THE TRUE LIGHT OF MY LIFE

ALSO SLEEPS.

A BLESSING UPON HER FOR PUTTING

UP WITH ME.

EVEN THE DOG HAS GONE UP.

AND I SIT HERE LISTENING TO

JETHRO TULL.

NOT BAD, NOT BAD AT ALL.

Hawaii, 1986

Goodnight.

nice poems, weeseldad
Beautiful memories there.

Hello everyone

I did make it to Lake Michigan a few weeks ago.
I met Rainbow's sons Tommy and Steve~ who were both so kind. Tommy showed me both of Ginny's houses~ her "cottage in the enchanted forest" and her later reservation "palace". I could feel her presence near, especially in the beautiful Lake Michigan sunset. Seeing her world was magical and I now entirely understand why she was so enchanted by it. It is really like a little heaven on earth.

I didn't know your sister and Ginny shared a birthday, Juni. That's so cool.

I have a thought for you, Lialei; envy, envy. I wish that I could have gone to the Lake myself. To my chagrin, I have traveled all over the world, but never to the Great lakes. Your pics are beautiful. I am happy that you were able to connect with Rainbow's family and spirit. Every time that I sit here and type a note to all of you, I feel that she is reading our thoughts and words. I never met her personally, or you guys, for that matter, but I cannot help but believe that we are all connected some way. My Indian and Irish ancestry has taught me that all things come about for a reason and that all things are entwined around the Wheel Of Life.

Ahh Lialei, home sweet home!! Lovely pics.

On the last picture, see that drift of sand?? It doesn`t take much to see it as a rainbow flowing outward

Now weeseldad, you have to come see the beauty and tranquility of Lake Michigan. That will cure the envies

How wonderful you got to meet the boys Lialei! A special time shared by all.
I do indeed feel Rainbows Spirit here with us and enjoying the easy friendship and love shared.

I felt compelled to respond today
quote:
Because if Fantasia is killed,
It would be
Childhoods' End.
Indeed, it does seem like The Nothing is going to win sometimes, and engulf our Fantasias.....
But then some wonderful, hopeful soul will dream, and the dream is contagious, and we drive The Nothing back for a spell.....
But we must be ever-vigilant, for The Nothing is insidious and makes small but inexorable strides every single day.....

I will try to make it to the Lakes, maybe next year. We must always remember that there is a rainbow somewhere, every day.
I would like to encourage all of us to spend a moment praying for the people in the Carribean and Mexico, as Dean moves in.
I have a question, what is happening in our country? I can't remember when so many bad things have happened in a single year. Ever. I don't want to bring y'all down, but it seems like we are getting the stuff kicked out of us this year. Any thoughts?
Also, Fantasia is still alive. See the film; "Stardust". It's a lot of fun, my granddaughters said.

yeah, now that you mention it, that sand rift does look like a rainbow, Juni.
I hadn't noticed that.

Well said, Zala.

Wish I could answer your question, weeseldad.

I can surely feel Ginny's presence here with you all in this special thread.
And yes...there is a nice, comforting unspoken connection isn't there?

I write here today with sadness. We have a Husky dog who has been with us for nearly 14 years. He has gotten so ill that we have to have him euthanized. he has had a very good life with us, full of love and snacks. He has been my friend and companion on many trips in the truck or car. It breaks my heart to see him in such pain. I have talked with him and I told him to look for a lady with a rainbow around her. It may sound strange, but I am sure that our pets join us when we cross over and they do. Does Rainbow like dogs? I am sure that she and Mitzu will like each other. I will write again when I recover from tomorrow. Thanks for letting me ramble on today. We do have two other dogs, so it won't be too bad. for today...

My Heart is with you and Mitzu at this fork in your journey.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Juniper and Lialei, I cannot possibly express in writing what your messages meant. When my wife and I read "The Rainbow Bridge" we cried. This had special meaning for me because of Rainbow. I don't know what else to say but, I love you both and pray that I can say that in person someday. Whomever you guys share life with are very lucky people and I hope that they cherish you up close and personal as much as I do from afar. For today, love, peace and thanks.

Hey, hopefully this will bring a smile...

FOR A FRIEND
I said goodby to a friend today.
I didn't want to; I just had to.
I didn't want him to leave,
I wanted him to stay.
We had fun and good times together.
For many years we were friends and
Companions.
As I sat with him, raging against the
Unfairness of it;
I realized I was being selfish.
He didn't want to leave either'
It was just his time to leave me.
But he was going to be with the
Ones that he had said goodby to
Before.
When I realized that he would be
At peace and surrounded with love
And our previous friends;
My heart was at peace and
I was able to let him go.
Bye Mitzu.

Thanks Lia, it did make me smile. I wish that I had started here sooner, so that I could have known Rainbow and you guys longer. I really love being able to share ideas and thoughts and life with a whole community of friends that have so much in common with me.
Writing the above free verse was so good, because it lifted the weight from my heart. I thank all of you for your love and patience.
To get back to our original premise, are you guys worried about what is happening throughout the world this summer? I haven't reviewed the "Phoenix Files" lately, but we seem to be getting hit one after another. I am concerned, but not for myself, because I am as prepared as I can be. I just worry about those who will not see the signs and take heed. I guess I will just have faith and pray.

weeseldad, a lovely poem for Mitzu

It does seem to be unfolding as MSR wrote. Perhaps not in the concise chronological order as stated but all is occuring

I believe that the human factor plays into the order/disorder of the Phoenix Rising. Love and Prayers may slow some situtations while hate and anger may speed others up.

Yes indeed, Pray and keep the Faith.

Hello to all. Juni, thanks and love to you and yours. I was watching a commercial on tv and had a thought,(An admittedly rare ocurrence) Have any of you noticed that Visa is trying to get our country to stop using checks and cash? Watch one of their commercials. My question is; weren't we warned to look out for this in the Bible or at least in biblical writings? I seem to remember that, but not where I read it. If any of you guys recall it please tell the rest of us. For now...

I was researching some music for my religious education class that I teach and found this. I was compelled to share it by The Great Spirit. The world sure needs to read this, pass it on. Please.

RIVER OF JORDAN
Peter Yarrow- ©1972 Mary Beth Music, ASCAP

I traveled the banks of the River of Jordan
To find where it flows to the sea.
I looked in the eyes of the cold and the hungry
And I saw I was looking at me.
I wanted to know if life had a purpose
And what it all means in the end.
In the silence I listened to voices inside me
And they told me again and again.

The is only one river. There is only one sea.
And it flows through you, and it flows through me.
There is only one people. We are one and the same.
We are all one spirit. We are all one name.
We are the father, mother, daughter and son.
From the dawn of creation, we are one.
We are one.

Every blade of grass on the mountain
Every drop in the sea
Every cry of a newborn baby
Every prayer to be free
Every hope at the end of a rainbow
Every song ever sung
Is a part of the family of woman and man
And that means everyone.

We are only one river. We are only one sea.
And it flows through you, and it flows through me.
We are only one people. We are one and the same.
We are all one spirit. We are all one name.
We are the father, mother, daughter and son
From the dawn of creation, we are one.
We are one.

I am writing today to let you know that we have added to our family. Our Boxer dog, Rileigh, presented us with ten puppies on Monday night. I love it, but we will be busy for the next three months or so. When we lost Mitzu, we never dreamed that he would send us so many replacements. I guess that's it for now.
