Good afternoon! I read your post this a.m. and thought about it during the day. When I returned home, I was gifted with four small porcelain Angels ! They sit on my monitor and will always remind me of you and the dear Companions we share the journey with.

God willing, we will meet again!

Blessings,

ListensToTrees, I like your new name

I had bumped the other MSR thread for you so you could see what had been shared.

The insights of NoEyes follow a natural order. An order of destruction by humans. Sad, but predictable. Much has come to pass with potential of more to follow.

Mary says over & over fear is your worst enemy. Do not fear the changes but be a part of the change in the most positive way you can. Prayers for Humanity & the enviroment, good common sense and Service to God is the basic road to travel!

Your answer to moving is within you. If you are concerned, seek to be rightly guided. While the trees are whispering, listen to Your song!

Blessings,

's Thanks, jb, for your kind words.
LTT; I don't recommend that you get into the spirit world if you have negative feelings or doubts because that can lead to disaster. As I said before, I am just a humble seeker on the Path of Life. I don't try to teach anyone who has doubts because, as we all know, "When the student is ready, the teacher appears." I would advise you to enter the spirit world that you are familiar with-pray to the Great spirit for guidance in your struggle. And don't forget to listen to the casual reply. You will be answered if you listen and have patience. There will be a growing feeling of "rightness" as you follow the path set before you. I will include my e-mail and,if you like, write me and I will relate my experiences on how I got to Virginia and what happens every time I try travel to someplace else. weeseldad@cox.net
As you read MSR, remember to read with your heart as well as your eyes. You might also take a look at Shirley McLaine's books about karma and other things.
I hope that I have helped you in some small way. I recommend that everyone give a listen to a new song. It is performed by "Van Zandt" and is titled "Help some one" The advice they sing about is always timely. I think that I have rambled on enough tonight, so I wish for you......

Juniperb, that was so sweet; what you said about the angels a friend gave you. You are a special spirit.

By the way, does anyOne know whether MSR can be contacted, in any way? Thanks.

Hello 's, I trust that everyone is doing well. J.B., I was also touched by your account of the angel's. I have to believe that we are doing something right by sharing our lives and ourselves on these threads. I say that because it seems that when we speak on some subject, one of us is affected by that subject in some way.
L.T.T. I haven't tried to contact MSR, but there was an address listed in her older books where you could write her. There are also several websites, but I don't know if they forward mail. Since her husband passed, I suspect that she may only correspond with close friends and family. Of course I may be wrong. At any rate, the publisher of her newest book should be able to supply a P.O. Box at least.
On a serious note, I see that the American public is losing patience with the Pres. and the war in Iraq. I will bet that the Draft will become an issue in the next session of Congress. Remember what NoEyes said about the draft and "brushfire wars" overseas.
For those who are new, look in "Phoenix Rising" or "Daybreak".
Remember to always help someone each day and live and love for today, it may be all we get.

Hello Knowflakes, LTT, if I may I would like
to ask about the statment you made on page 3.
" We chose to come into this world so that we
may experience an existance seperate from God" I don't pretend to know what happens after we leave this plain and cannot explain alot that happens here, but God's presence
is here with us on this one at all times. Perhaps I have misread the statment, could you please carify this for me? Blessing. Sue

Hi Sue

Yes, I believe God is with us at all times too. And yet, at the same time- we're separate. It's just something I strongly believe based on a few inspiring things I've been reading lately. I have always struggled with the existence of evil and suffering in our world; but I believe God is about Pure, unconditional love and joy- the opposite of cruelty and pain. Therefor, what I said about us choosing to come into this world makes sense, to me anyway. We all have our own mind, our own view (no-one has to believe my theory- but it's what I believe). Too many people fall out with God just because they experience or witness something horrific. We all need to wake up to the fact that suffering is all around...sorry to sound grim...but there IS also much beauty in the world and much love and light! That's why I feel so strongly about these things. I LOVE life and hate to see pain.

I hope this makes sense.....

Love, Light & Blessings

P.S. Thankyou for your words, Weeseldad

I'm not sure that I understand where ss is coming from but I do have a small offering to make that may help. As y'all know, I draw a lot of inspiration from music. I know of a great song that adresses these things. It is performed by Van Zandt on country stations. It is called "Help Somebody". Listen to it and let me know what it does for you. Especially the line "Try to see the grace in the things you can't change." I know that this song makes me feel better, I hope it does you.
I have also found the following prayer to have a wonderful effect on me whenever I say it.
God,
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can,

and the wisdom to know the difference.

I hope that these things help you in your seeking.
For now......

LTT, thank you for your answer. Can you share some of what you have been reading? You are right, there are many that do turn away from God when bad things happen to them, but they also have the choice to turn back to him as well. How could we "know" joy if not for its opposite? Blessings. Sue

Hello my friends. I haven't written because I was called out of town unexpectedley. My mother passed over on Saturday. It is the call we all expect but don't want. Please join me in celebrating the turning of the wheel of Life. We know that she has went on to the next stage of Being but it is hard. I suppose that she has resolved her conflicts and decided that 82 years were enough.
I have one plea for everyone. Wherever you are, take the time to see or call your loved ones at least once a week and tell them you love them. I had planned to go see my parents next week but the Spirit had other plans. My greatest regret is that I never got to say "Farewell" I'm sure she knows, but I would have liked to have seen her once more.
I want to say I love all of you and I will post more when I can.

weeseldad, Love and Angels to be with you at this time of parting.

The Anasazi say the Stars are the camp fires of our Ancestors. As I look upon my Ancestors tonight, I will send this Spirit Journey Prayer to your mom.

Old Spirit of our clan.
Old Spirit of the People.
Spread your Spirit Wings and rise free.
Spread your Spirit Wings and fly high.
Old Spirit of our clan.
Old Spirit of the People.
Open your Spirit Eyes and look ahead.
Open your Spirit Eyes and don`t look back.

Old Spirit of our clan.
Old Spirit of the People.
Walk straight upon the Star Trail.
Walk straight into the Lights.

MSR

Blessings,

Your words are greatly appreciated at this time. I am indeed blessed to be surrounded by love. Your sharing and love mean the world to me. As you know, we have to work out past conflicts in each lifetime in order to move on. I do not think that I could have better companions on here or with me directly. I know that this may sound silly, but I have grown to love and value our electronic relationship. J.B.; I would be absolutely honored to meet you someday. Until then, may you always be in the light and may you have fair winds and following seas, as us old sailors say. for now,

A good Saturday morning to you.

In your time of parting, I have been reflecting on my Mom. I got that expected yet unprepared for call on my birthday in 2001. Again, Lindas words, "Sadness Rhymes With Gladness" becomes clear at these times.

The internet has been a wonderous invention to bring so many Souls together to share! I deeply value you gifting yourself to us here. One smile, one light, one Soul can make the world a brighter place to live!

Inshallah(God Willing),

we will meet (again?)!

Blessings,

Again, thanks. Today I found a silly little thing on the net. At first it amused me, then I read it again and thought;"How true" Isn't funny how the greatest things can so often be so not complicated? I hope you like this as much as I do.
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo hoo-- What a ride!"
Isn't that great? Goodnight.

Bob....my heart goes out to you at this time....

....I lost my own mom not so very long ago....(the fall of 2003)....she was in her 80's too...but as you said, even though we know they have gone on to another - better world...it IS hard when they leave us....I still miss her very much, and sometimes wish I had her here to talk to....but know what? I talk to her anyway...even tho I can't see her...and I know she hears...*sigh*

I talk with my father too who has been gone for 10 years....

I really like juni's poem...and you are indeed perceptive to pick up on what a treasure she is....a very special lady....

Love,
Rainbow

Wd, it is so hard to know what to say when someone looses a loved one. There are no right words, and none of them will take away the loss. My prayers are with you at this sad time. You were blessed to have had such a long time with your mom. Thanks for sharing your loss with us, perhaps it lessened the sadness in some small way.
Blessings. sue

's After reading all of your posts, what can I say? Your friendship, love and understanding shine out so brightly that I am truly blessed and honored to know all of you. I'm not sure what our group would be classified as, but I know we are special and unique. Now havihg said that' my thanks to all of you at this time.
On a serious note, what do you think about that woman who is trying to see the President about her son's death in Iraq. I believe that this is merely the early beginning of what will become a country shaking event. NoEyes predicted this in "Phoenix Rising" I think we would be wise to prepare to prepare, if you will pardon the wording. I don't mean to be a doomsayer, but we need to be more mindful of changes taking place around us than we did in the past. I hope that I'm not scaring anyone, I only want to make sure we all have our eyes open. Y'all tell us what you think. For today.....

To all of you; this one still makes me cry when I hear it on the radio. I put it in today to honor those we lost and to make sure we remember. Peace and love.

"Where were you when the world stopped turnin'?" - Alan Jackson

Where were you when the world stopped turnin'
that September day?
Out in the yard with your wife and children;
Or working on some stage in L.A.?
Did you stand there in shock at the sight of that black smoke
Rising against that blue sky?
Did you shout out in anger in fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry?

Did you weep for the children
that lost their dear loved ones?
Did you pray for the ones who don't know?
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
and sob for the ones left below?
Did you burst out in pride for the red white and blue
And the heroes who died just doin' what they do?
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer?
And look at yourself for what really matters?

(Chorus)
I'm just a singer of simple songs;
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN, but I'm not sure I can tell you the difference
in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, Hope and Love are some good things He gave us
And the greatest is Love.

Where were you when the world stopped turning
That September day?
Teaching a class full of innocent children;
Driving down some cold interstate?
Did you feel guilty 'cause you're a survivor
in a crowded room did you feel alone?
Did you call up your mother and tell her you love her?
Did you dust off that bible at home?

Did you open your eyes hope it never happened;
And close your eyes and not go to sleep?
Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages;
Or speak to some stranger on the street?
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow;
Go out and buy you a gun?
Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watchin'
And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns?

Did you go to a church and hold hands with some strangers?
Stand in line and give your own blood?
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family
Thank God you had somebody to love?

(Chorus)
I'm just a singer of simple songs;
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN, but I'm not sure I can tell you the difference
in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, Hope and Love are some good things He gave us
And the greatest is Love.

I'm just a singer of simple songs;
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN, but I'm not sure I can tell you the difference
in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, Hope and Love are some good things He gave us
And the greatest is Love.
And the greatest is Love.
And the greatest is Love.

Dear friends, IO assume that we are all caught up in one way or another with the Gulf Coast disaster and haven't had time to post here. Me too, I have relatives in Ga. And the East coast of Fl. Thankfully they are all right. I am so stunned that I do not know what to say for once. I will continue to pray for those there. If any of you need someone to correspond with for encouragement, post here and I will put up my e-mail if someone wants. For now, my love and prayers to all of you....

What's happening on our southern coast is.......well........(Aaron Brown just now said it while my mind was searching for the right words)....."An American tragedy!"

I am watching CNN at the moment...*sigh* I switch channels every now and then......

I want to know what is happening....I need to know how they are progressing...my heart aches for each and everyone of those who have suffered and are suffering still...thru this horrible thing! They are in my prayers...*sigh* It's just so unbelievably horrible!

quote:
what do you think about that woman who is trying to see the President about her son's death in Iraq

Weesledad, I think what Cindy Sheehan was doing a very admirable thing and was happy to see so many people behind her....I attended a candle light vigil for her recently (before Katrina blew in). It was one of over sixteen hundred held across the United States....the little village of Onekama....had 21 of us in attendance...

Now I must tell you and juni...........that finally I am going to be able to read a couple Mary Summer Rain books.... I ordered them online....SPIRIT SONG....and PHOENIX RISING....they should be arriving later this week...I'm really looking forward to getting them....*sigh*.........now maybe I can make some fairly intelligent contributions to the discussion here...

More later guyz....

Love,
Rainbow

's I'm glad to see that we are all still here. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed by events that we just sit and stare or cry.
Rainbow; I'm thrilled that you are going to experience MSR. But don't think that what you share with us is not up to some standard. When you speak from your heart, those to whom you speak know the love and truth when they hear it. You were meant to read those books at this time. To quote Shirley McLaine; "When the student is ready, the teacher appears."
I agree with you about Cindy Sheehan. I am appalled that the president wouldn't even honor with a phone call, let alone a face to face meeting. I guess that to admit to someone that their child gave their life for oil would sound kind of lame. At least, that's my opinion on why we are there.
For now, let us continue to pray for the victims and their families and do what we can to help. May you all have a good week and....

Bob...I'm happy to report that our tribe, THE LITTLE RIVER BAND OF OTTAWA INDIANS, will be hosting a dinner on Sunday....

....and those who want to dine on some good food (fine chefs from our restaurant casinos will be preparing the food), must bring either money or supplies (or both),to be sent to the hurricane victims...

A local church in town is providing two huge trucks to make the trip down there, and our tribe hopes to fill them both up and even have an overflow...

If that be the case, we will provide extra trucks if they are needed...

I'm hoping we'll have a whole fleet of trucks!

Love,
Rainbow
