Rock is just modern classical. The tango! That is such a sexy dance. I don't really like the combative element to the tango though. It's a bit of a battlefield, really. I like more harmony between men and women. As much as I like dominant and strong men, I don't want to be dominated. I can't abide by that. I'm too - I'm not a rebel - but I have this rebel leader deeply embedded in me - NO-ONE tells me what to do. I like equality in relationships - balance. I'm not into the whole fighting by day and making love all night thing. Too unstable. IP: Logged |

Lol! Well it has that element of a power-struggle in it but remember that the Tango was supposed to be a rebellious outcry against conformist socitial restrictions of 18th century Europe. It was actually banned in Frace for a while because of its seductive nature. The Waltz reflects a more Harmonious tone and even balance but it lacks that immidiate passion IMO. Its very... Libra Lol! Airy... But then my twin cats (i.e. Leo Asc. and Moon) lash out on my scales telling me to bring out the inner roaring Lion Lol! Hence Tango works well with a passionate Scorpio and a fire influenced Libra . IP: Logged |

I think of Kirk as one of the elder-statesmen now - even though he's not old - and only 8 years older than me. LOL! That's just ridiculous now, isn't it! God, Def Leppard are older than that too. IP: Logged |

XOh yes - I love the waltz - any dance that looks like they're gliding on air. How beautiful. I'm such a sucky romantic. I really am. I cry when I watch The Sound Of Music - when Maria comes back and the kids are sitting around singing the song and then her voice enters - oh............. I was watching Sex & The City during the week. I'm a bit of a fan. And it was Carrie's 35th birthday and she had a terrible day and then at the end Big turns up outside her apartment in a limo and she walks up and the window comes down and balloons fall out and she gets in and they talk for a while and then he asks her if she had a good day to which she replies, "I had a fabulous day". Oh, I love that moment. She had the sh1ttiest day every but just his appearance and presence brightens up her whole world. I love that! I'm a sap. IP: Logged |

Lol! Then you and I have something in common PA (amoung other things like being hinged with an attraction for confidence and being Geeks.) I usually talk to BornunderD (one of our mods) out side of the forum and I have admitted to her quite a lot of times that I am a sap when it comes to Romance. There HAS to be Romance! Lol! Seems like my Scorpio has come to appreciate it as much as I do. There is this amazing Scene in the movie "Scent of a Woman" where Al Pacino (playing a blind character) does the Tango with this beautiful woman. It was so amazing. IP: Logged |

LOL XWhen we were discussing the tango before I actually typed out asking you if you've seen Scent Of A Woman. Then deleted it. I always fear I'm just raving. LOL! Oh, I'm a huge romantic. Probably doesn't translate in the way I communicate here - I don't know, maybe it does. I'm a true romantic. I'm not a figher at all. Very much a lover and a romantic. Sounds like you're the same. Though, probably, what I find romantic is much different to others I suspect. I think going for a walk in the city at night under all the lights and just talking is romantic. I'm not a candle-lit dinner girl. I find that dead boring. I like a good game of pool. That's always a fun time. I had a friend/colleague who used to have dinner at home with his wife and then they'd hit the city and go into a fancy restaurant before it was closing and have desert. I always thought that was lovely. Actually, I think, you can tell how much a girl likes you and what her intentions are by the underwear she leaves home wearing at the beginning of the date. Lol! PA. [Sappy line] You're like fine wine. You only get better with age [/Sappy line]Hmmm, famous ladies... I have to go with one of the classical actresses with this one. Elizabeth Taylor. Not only is she amazingly beautiful, her onscreen talent spoke for itself. Her performance besides Paul Newman in "Cat on the Hot Tin Roof" was simply amazing! Though people remember her for Cleopetra, I actually think that her being Maggie in Cat on the Hot Tin Roof was her best performance. Eva Green: Another Explosive combination of talent and looks. I loved her in Kingdom of Heaven and she totally blew me away as Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. No wonder Bond fell for her Lol! Lexa Doig: Biased... She reminds me of my GF LOL! Fierce yet so intelligent and cool. And there are more... IP: Logged |

XOh - didn't you hit the nail on the head with Ms Taylor. Exquisite lady. And Eva Green - beatiful eyes. I love Kingdom of Heaven. Really liked all the characters in that. My favourite character in that is Saladin's right hand man - Nasir - the rapport between him and Balian. I would have loved to have seen more of that ihteraction developed. Didn't think that there was any chemistry between Eva Greeen and Orlando Bloom. The romance just seemed to kind of slink in - not unwarned, but - it didn't flow. Did you see Eva in The Dreamers? Ummm, interesting movie. Rather incestuous. Based on our conversations last week, I have rented Casino Royale and was planning to watch it tonight. If I can tear myself away from here, I have a date with Mr Craig. I want to see this more Fleming like Bond. And DanC is not hard on the eyes. As well as being a good actor. He was in an interesting movie called The Mother where he has sex with his girlfriend's mother. IP: Logged |

DDI just read this and thought of you. From Matrix Astrology: quote: Pluto conjunct South Node Because Pluto is in the same sign for 12-31 years, the South Node person will have more or less the same reaction to the Pluto influence as all those of the Pluto person's generation. If the conjunction is within a degree or so of exact, there can be power struggles within the relationship and a tendency by one or both of you to attempt to manipulate the other . The Pluto person may feel that something associated with the Node person is a drain on his/her ability to maintain mastery or control.

Oh Kingdom of Heaven (much like many of Ridley Scotts more moderate themed movies) have etched a place in my heart. Some of the lines used in that movie were actually taken from actual historical montage. Oh teh chemistry between Green and Bloom was too obvious; But IMO it was Green who gave that sense of mystery behind her character that aided in bringing out the more Noble persona of Bloom.IP: Logged |

I know that people talk about Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton as soulmates, etc. But when I read things about her - I always feel that Mike Todd was for her - that there was just great love there. I always feel sad for her that he died.IP: Logged |

Mike Todd and Elizbeth Taylor had this almost effortless connection. One could tell that she was more relaxed around him given the photos taken of them: IP: Logged |
