That's funny - because I didn't feel/see it at all. Actually, I think it would have been a better story without the romantic storyline. There's quite a few historical "indifferences" in that movie. But I like the way the Saracens were portrayed - it was sympathetic. It's easy for movie makers to represent people or present them in a biased way. An interesting movie. That's why I liked the relationship between Nasir and Balian - just showed they're each doing what they have to do to their own convictions. But also, that they can respect each other. I really liked the way that Nasir was heavy hearted each time they had to go to battle or do something. That whole reluctant warrior thing. I really like that. Appreciate that. Batman is like that somewhat. But Obi-Wan Kenobi is very much like that. I like the character Guy in Kingdom Of Heaven - always love the bad guys - and he's such a great bad guy. I love the way Jeremy Irons says, "a dead man". I have a real soft spot for him. IP: Logged |

Yeah - you can just "feel" it between them. I can always feel my heart break for her when I read about them.

I really like this lady. Interesting actress. Interesting movies and roles. Haven't seen her in Dark Knight. I didn't like Katie Holmes in Batman Begins. So, when I see it I'll see if I think she was miscast or not. IP: Logged |

That's how it should be. That's how I see soulmates working. That's what I mean about the fighting all day and making love all night dynamic. It suggests love and hate. But that effortless connection - it's just natural and harmonious. That's what I like. I hate fighting. It's not even foreplay. It's just stressful. IP: Logged |

Well you have to consider the tension between honour, love and duty on this one PA. The love was simmering under layers and masks both Balian and Isabella wore to protect not only themselves but others who might get harmed sue to action they might take. It is why that scene where Balian says "You think I am like Guy... That I would sell my soul" is so important. Because Isabella really wanted to be with him and when the political opportunity gave way to their union, she was devistated that Balian didn't take it. IP: Logged |

I've been thinking about getting a nose ring. I did have one. I had it done when I was 8 months pregnant with my third baby. But then I had an emergency Caesarian and had to remove it and it just didn't feel right after that. So after perservering for some years I gave up. But been thinking about it lately. I really liked having it. It's been 3 years since I took the other one out.IP: Logged |

Balian had to be represented as this honourable person. He had to reject all that was offered him. Otherwise he was less noble - less worthy. He had to have a wound and a purity about him to carry his purpose. He had to be a marytr. It's the only way to make him believable. He had to be "the perfect knight". Usually in the movies when they make a character like that they make it so that there is some sacrifice - as they refer in Batman Begins - you do what must be done - and that's what separates them from mere mortals and makes them heroic. They do that - at personal sacrifice - something inside themselves.IP: Logged |

Oh Maggie Gyllenhall in the Dark Knight broke all the stereotypes of a comic book "Damsel in Distress." She portryed a more independent intelligent confident woman where as Kaitie played it by the comic book Lol!IP: Logged |

"That's how it should be. That's how I see soulmates working. That's what I mean about the fighting all day and making love all night dynamic. It suggests love and hate. Actually I think the term "soulmates" means different things for different person, and every soulmate-relationship may be a bit different. Or I am deluding myself. Definitely an option. As always. BTW I LOVED Orlando Bloom in Kingdom of Heaven. He was perfect in that. WOW! I`m not talking about his looks alone (which were just amazing), but also about the way he portrayed Balian. I wished he would show more acting like this.

And it's been a while since there was any mention of Colin or Christian or RDJ. Can't have that now. (The Batman references don't count :laughing . IP: Logged |

Oh - EXCELLENT. I'm looking forward to seeing that. The damsel in distress is a sign of the times. I have no problems with saving the man. Don't mind that. I'm a bit of a warrior. Aries Sun, Venus, Mercury & Ascendant. Just a bit. IP: Logged |

Go for it! . Nose rings really do look sexy when done in the right context. Some of the amature models at modelmayhem have done shots involving nose rings and they look so beautiful. IP: Logged |

Yeah, you're right there my friend. I just have a preference for peaceful harmonious relationships. Despite all my Aries, I really hate fighting. I'm the reluctant fighter. I guess that's why I identify/appreciate that. I like relationships to be easy. IP: Logged |

Yes, he was really good in this. They all were. Alexander Siddig was so great in this movie.

PA,yes, I know you like harmonious and easy relationships. And it`s probably the healthy way to have a relationship. But I`m sure there are others who seek that "tension-element" more than you do. Elisabeth Taylor surely was one of those. Me, myself am torn between those two ends. I think, ideally I would love to have a very harmonious core of two souls connecting to each other, but on the outer layers I wouldn`t mind a bit tension now and then, or intensity or verbal sparring, to keep things spicy. Not just sexually, but also mentally. IP: Logged |

I actually thought of Sid last night. I don`t recall having dreamed of him, but while sleeping I was thinking of him. Weird.EDIT: Maybe not so weird at all. After all he is from the East AND in the role I discovered him in he was called "Julian". lol IP: Logged |

I think I will. It will shock some of the conservative people I'm around. But that's just part of me being me. I'm surrounded by very repressed people. I have to hold back when I'm around them. Which makes me feel really restrained and un-me. I'm not good in environments where I feel I have to behave in a certain way. When I'm here online with all of you I'm me. This is me. Unrestrained. BornunderD will love it if you would say that when she is looking Lol! She loves him as an actor. DD: Well sadly Mr. Bloom ends up playing the sidekick in many of his movies rather then the main protagonist and that ends up chipping away at his possible wonderful career as an actor. KOH proved that he can play the main part. IP: Logged |

PA,it`s sad if one canīt be herself with the people she loves. Xodian,
yes, Mr. Bloom definitely can pull off such a part, but I was surprised to see him like this. Loved him in "Haven", too. Alexander IS a great actor. I agree. And he is not ugly, either. IP: Logged |

IMO that is what the internet does best; It lets people to really express their inner selves without any plausible judgement. Offcourse, there is a dark side to it Lol! Imagine how my GF feels. She is currently attending U of T and is a medical major Lol! When I tell that to people, they usually say "REALLY?!?!" IP: Logged |
