If you do get the show back, or when you can get DVDs, the show just started to get really good again (episode 5).

YEah I kinda noticed that there is a certain difference in the quality of the eps. Well I fear I have to wait for some time until I can buy the DVD.

Am I the only one who likes Mad Men? There should be a thread dedicated only to Don Draper.
I like supernatural tematics,like Merlin.

The popular vampire,Pattinson has interesting crabby chart.

omg, the thread has been revived

------------------
I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate?

when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history

Yeah, what is it about Samhain and vampires?
Because of the connection of that day with paying reverence to the dead?

About advertising agency on Madison Avenue,1960. They r dark, drunk, smoking hot & cigarettes. Don Draper is the protagonist. I suspect heavy Mars Scorpio + Cappy Moon.

Nicki,

yes, but I think this thread has long derailed since then.

I think I remember someone bringing in Star Trek and Data at some point. If I only could remember who it was. Do you know?

Vampire is eastern Europe creation. I didn't know there is connection. Of what kind?

Venus Di Sirius,

probably the connection is mostly in German TV-programm on Halloween, showing all these vampire films, series and of course the other including witches, zombies etc.

I find the vampire to be an interesting symbol; interestingly it is not l imited to Eastern Europe (though our popular view on them might be derived from there) but was known in many ancient civilizations from Babylon to China to Egypt to Greece and so on.
Very interesting.

BTW some myths say that Lilit (from Babylon) is one of the earliest vampires in mythology.

The Greek knew them as "Lamia" (there is an asteroid Lamia and it is exactly conjunct my Sun. lol).

There r creatures throughtout different cultures and myths that drink blood,r living dead, rise from graves and so on,but Vampires as Vampires, they r Eastern,or South Euro; root of word vampire, vampir is of slavic origin; Europe met Vampires in this form in 19th century via story of the dead peasant who appears to walk at night out his grave;yhat was during Austro-Hungarian monarchy.

Hmm, I donīt think I like the "bad boy" in vampires. Must be something else.

I agree on David Boreanaz; somehow he doesnīt appeal to me. I am very neutral towards him.
Neutral towards most of them actually.

Recently I feel more appeal of the classical one, read "Dracula" by Bram Stoker again.

Venus Di Sirius,

yes, you are right. The Vampire under the name "vampire" stems from Eastern Europe; I just wanted to point out that the mythology of a bloodsucking demon reaches farther back in time.
