Ami, I was talking about reality, too. My reality just translates to my tastes in vampires, and that they don't have to be bad to be sexy.

That last one doesn't always stick to his ideals, though. He's a loyal and protective friend, which I also like.

Well, Nicki, what I mean is that I thought you could live life as a veneer.

If you only looked good, did the right things etc then life would turn out well.

It didn't work.
That is what I mean by shoving Pluto away.
Pluto is the id i.e what we REALLY feel, not what we are SUPPOSED to feel.

I do not like the bad boy persona.
I loved Frank Langela's Dracula portrayal because it was deeply erotic and sensual in many ways, and a passionate surrendering to an otherworldly intensity, with a hint that they would be reunited again.
The Saint Germain Vampire Chronicles
novels, and the novel, Blood Games, are about love, lust, and passion, but the characters in both have ethics and decency, and even a bittersweet gentleness about them, an eternal longing for true love.

On another note:
Another Vampire movie is The Hunger.....
David Bowie is in it as a tragic vampire.

Ooh! I like that movie! And the main 3 all have strong Capricorn, how funny.
Sarandon & Deneuve are both Libras with Capricorn Asc

Goodness, I need some caffeine. I've just refreshed three times, wondering where my post was, only to remember that I was editing a post, not posting a new one.

The bad boy persona has to be sweet underneath or else he would be like a hired killer for the mob.
If he is cold blooded, without ethics, without heart, sweetness, warmth, gentleness, we recoil.

What makes the bad boy persona is the sweetness/gentleness NEXT to the toughness.

While I like watching movies with such characters, they do nothing to turn me on at all.
I prefer the vampires who come across as, or are portrayed as bi or gay.
Frank Langella is the exception because he comes across as a gentleman not a bad "boy".

Well, Nicki, if you always try to be real about your feelings, then Pluto won't have to come by,in transit , and blow the lies off your life.

Love Matt Damon to!
I almost forgot about him
How flakey.
But I don't register 'bad boys' - seriously. It just doesn't register as that, no matter what they do.

Yeah, the 'bad boy' persona...especially in this case... is really played out. People (and Vampires, apparently..LOL) are so much more dynamic than that. One of the reasons I liked Angel was because of how his story evolved and changed.

LOL! I understand!
But I am not a typical person physically and orientation wise, being the androgyne I am.
So most 100% females like the "bad boy" persona it seems.
I wonder why.

LEXX - I don't see anyone as 'typical' really (deep down.. deep deep down lol).. but some go with the flow, mainly in social contexts.

lol, benedict, i just liked buffy overall. buffy falls in love with angel, they "do it" as i would have said back then, and he turns evil. then buffy falls in love with spike, actually i wouldnt say they fell in love, it was more like lust. but i dont like the fact that angel got his own series...i was sad when i lost my cable because i couldnt watch buffy anymore..or any of my fav shows, lol...T_T

I see what you mean, but my not typical personally is just the way I am physically and orientation.
