Meta,

why is he not your type? Too young?

Ami,

so that would leave you with Julian I guess. Actually i just rewatched the episode of the series "Blood Ties", where Kyle plays the vampire, and Julian was a priest of the inquisition torturing him.

hi Meta
I have a horrible memory so I can't remember any of your astro! I don't even know your sun except you seem Aquarian to me..
Here's the gist of mine,
Asc Leo 2
Mars Libra
Saturn Libra
Pluto Libra
Jupiter Scorpio
Uranus Sagittarius
Neptune Sagittarius
Venus Capricorn
Moon Capricorn
Mercury Aquarius
Sun Pisces
Mc Aries 25

You know what I saw in both, is Venus in Aquarius....and that's in my h7, so that bit made sense to me. But yes Gary Oldman is so smoldering. Not something you'd think for Aqua but so wat, he rocks it
Oh p.s. with Venus/Mars in h8, no wonder!

DD (!)
I have Venus, Mars & Moon in aspect to Pluto & a h8 Sun does this mean I'm good vamp material? I could start my own show on youtube.
Do you dress up as a Vamp for Halloween? (remembering your Venus/Pluto)

Lonake,

I was wondering if the girls or even guys who have a liking for vampire shows may have Moon-Pluto or Venus-Pluto aspect themselves, so that this interest somehow appeases their natal configuration, satisfies it.

OF course it does NOT mean that everyone with this aspect is into vampire movies or genre, there are other ways of expression.
I have Venus square Pluto, with Pluto being on the Midheaven and conjunct TRANYLVANIA. lol
Transylvania is also conjunct Midheaven, exact sextile ASC and square Venus. Might figure in somehow.

No, I am not dressing up as vampire, it is a purely TV-oriented and story-oriented interest.
though I decided to go to a convention for the first time in my life next month. But that is more oout of curiosity and it is the Ring convention, so a little bit vampires - okay quite some vampires- and a little bit Lord of the Rings. And they have lectures there!
Food for thought for me. :gleaming eyes: I am really looking forward to learn something about the sociological background.
I am weird, I know. lol

I keep reading about how great the companion book is to this new tarot deck: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/vampyres/review.shtml

I can't afford it - and I want another deck by Robert Place, in which The Fool is a man entering Dracula's castle - but the reviews of the book mention a person's shadow side, facing fears, and about how not everything in the shadow is something nasty or to be feared.

I have Moon, Venus, South Node and Vertex in the 8th, trine Pluto and sextile Jupiter, as well as squaring Mars in Pisces, and inconjunct my Uranus/ascendant in Scorpio. Vampires don't do that much for me, by themselves... and Anne Rice got on my nerves at times (with tales of incest and the like - ick). I do love the atmosphere - when something is chilling without being gory or over the top.

" and about how not everything in the shadow is something nasty or to be feared. "

This was one of the biggest clues about the true meaning of vampires in my soul, well, the meaning of the symbol. And when it dawned on me (pun completely intended ), I absolutely knew WHY I was being obsessed with them and dreaming of them all the time.

I think we talked about this before but iQ once informed me that I have asteroid Transylvania (1537) within a degree of Venus in Scorpio, so it's no wonder I love those bloodsuckers

Starr of Venus,

yes, I think prominent Venus-Pluto, Mars-Pluto (also in Scorpio) or strong aspects to Transylvania may explain such fascination.
Agree on Ian, he is such a sexy bloodsucker!
Actually i think I remember his Mars is conjunct my Sun.

Nicki G,

My dreams were varying, they reached from wanting to be part of the vampire society and not getting in to wanting to get out there, from chasing supposed vampires to extinguish them, a Capt`n Ahab worthy slayer attitude, which even made me letting my best friend fry in the sun, to being threatened by a vampire, that I did kill (I still can feel how his heart stopped beating, it was horrifying, and yes, this vampire had a beating heart) to trying to run away from and finally succumb to the seduction, complete with an unearthly longing.
So, it seems like my subconsciousness was reflecting that myth from all possible sides.
Interestingly I never dreamed of dressing up like one.

When I was dressing up (for carnival mostly) I was princess (like all the boring girls. lol, the dress was sewn just for me), star, witch, clown, pirate and gypsy (the last two being my favourites). lol

I was checking some of the "vampire charts" for Scorpio and Pluto placements:

(1) Gary Oldman

NN in Scorpio (don`t know if that counts though)

Venus and Mars in 8th house

Lilith on Sun/Moon-mp exact

(2) Gerard Butler

Sun and Venus in Scorpio
Pluto peregrine

Lilith trine Venus exact

(3)Stuart Townsend
Venus wide conjunct Mars (6 degrees) in Scorpio

Lilith conjunct Sun exact

(4) Ian Somerhalder
Gosh- these eyes are like weapons!

Venus in Scorpio (the 3rd one in a row with Scorpio-Venus! My Venus-Pluto square must have picked up their vibes. lol)

Pluto sextile Sun (though I think sextiles and trines are maybe too soft)

Lilith trine Venus exact

His chart resembles Stuart Townsend quite a bit:

Both Sagittarius-Suns
Both Aries-Moon
Both Sag-Mercury
Both Scorpio - Venus
Only their Mars are in different signs (Scorpio for Stu and Sag for Ian)

(5) Paul Wesley

Pluto conjunct Mars EXACT

Lilith opposes Venus (2 degrees)

(6) David Boreanaz

Pluto trine Sun

Lilith peregrine

(7) Robert Pattinson

peregrine Pluto
Lilith conjunct Venus (3 degrees) - am I smelling a possible pattern?

(8) Kyle Schmid

Moon and Mars in Scorpio

(Mars in Scorpio tightly square Venus in Leo, his Mars falling into my 12th house and his Venus - and Sun- falling into my 8th house. Yummy. )

His birthtime is not known, if he has been born before noon his Pluto conjuncts his Moon, if he has been born after noon, his Pluto is peregrine

Lilith widely opposes Venus. (4 degrees) lol

Lilith trine Pluto exact

(9) Julian Sands

NN in Scorpio trine Lilith

Pluto widely square Mars (6 degrees)

Lilith square Mars
Lilith widely opposite Pluto (5 degrees)

(10) Jude Law

Mars in Scorpio

Pluto conjunct MC
Pluto square Sun

Lilith in Scorpio conjunct Mars in Scorpio. lol

(11) Tom Cruise

Pluto sextile Sun

Liilith in 1st house but not conjunct ASC

Lilith widely square Sun (4 degrees)

(12) James Marsters

nothing really

oh well except for Pluto being conjunct Lilith, w hich is intersting as she is one of the archetypes of the vampire. So maybe I need to check Lilith, too?

I have Moon conjunct Lilith in the 8th sextile pluto but I prefer witches and 'Wheel of Time' type mythical characters to Vampires. It might be conditional though; their current mainstream popularity has turned them off to me a bit. Or rather, today's vampires just aren't the same as the ones I once adored. *sigh*

My friend is a scorpio moon and she ABHORS the current vampire trend. haha

Nicky,

I only checked on astrotheme. Was to lazy to put their charts on astro.com. If I had, I had checked for Transylvania.
The Lilith thing surprised me, as I think they are using mean Lilith, and I would have though True Lilith would be more precise.

My own Lilith is in Aquarius exactly conjunct Psyche.

BM,

I think a fascination with vampire is just one possible expression of a Venus-Pluto configuration.
Witches would be pretty much there, too.

I found it interested that those I was feeling the strongest fascinated with had the strongest Pluto aspects, usually Venus-Pluto or Mars-Pluto, while the others left me kinda bored a little bit.

Yeah, perhaps those with the softer pluto aspects didn't 'convince' you enough...haha.

But for me, pluto is pluto I guess. I've always felt it rolling off of David which why it suprises me that he only has the softer aspects. But then again, they say the trine is not always soft, just natural.

Yeah, maybe it depends how strong it is natally for the resonance?

I have Venus square Pluto in angular houses, maybe that is the reason I need that "high tensed frequency" of Plutonic aspects?
Maybe someone with a trine, would seek out the more harmonious sextile and trine?

BTW I think I was wrong, I think they might use True Lilith on astro.com.

i most definitely would make the perfect vamp, lol

I have Gyptis and Transylvania in the 10th house. Gyptis (which i take as Gypsy) is conjunct my MC 1*.

I've always felt a connection to that word. And that look. Dark and seductive. Rogue. Outsider. It's just a story I feel that I haven't "outlived". I just remember always being attracted to older men, with facial hair, and earrings. When I was little I wanted to be Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I'm also sincerely connected to the story of Wuthering Heights. Asteroid Heath (for Heathcliff) is exactly conjunct my SN, asteroid Kathy (Catherine Earnshaw) is conjunct my Vertex, and Emilybronte is conjunct my Transylvania/Lust, opposite my Karma.

I'm just thinking that we care about these subjects for a reason. Why do we study them, watch them, read them? There is a basis for all of it somewhere. I can't help but question if I was an outsider at some point, if I had a romance like that novel at some point. I study my actions, and my desires, and I see patterns. I see that, unconsciously, through the things I listen to, read, watch, and enjoy, there is almost a plan to get back to these events, time periods and people.
