Go to Astro.com, Nicki.

Go to the bottom of the page (where you would normally click to do a Natal or Syn chart). There will be an "Additional Objects" list. Click Asteroid name/number and scroll around to find whatever asteroid you're looking for.

meta,

I thought so. Isn`t he some years older than you? lol
He clearly is too young for me though. Am I Demi Moore or what?

What about Rafe? Ever thought of him as a vampire?

DD,
For you I think it's more important that Pluto is on your MC, i didn't know that, and that you have a flair for fantasy in your chart, those combined I think work for you. The convention sounds like it speaks to your Aquarian side, too.

Meta,
(!)
Your Venus/Saturn opposition is conj my nodes @ 21.59 Cancer/Capricorn. Then my Mars/Saturn/Pluto squares that opposition.
Ugh, always have to blame that darn Libra
But ASC conj SN sounds comfy
Waittttt you are all fixed in the big 3, omg, how unusual! Oh it's a t-square, that is v.intense! You're another Plutonian, no doubt.

Another round of sexy vampires for you

I must admit that I'm not generally drawn to vampires. I think it's a very sad existence. Having to feed off the blood of other living beings for their own survival. I don't see anything romantic in that. Actually, I think my Virgo in the 6th house finds that pretty disguisting, really.

Interesting. I mention Rafe and you pop up out of nowwhere.
Careful, or Meta will start getting suspicious of you and him.

Lonake,

I think it is a mix of many things for me.
But the biggest factor is Venus-Pluto-square, without a doubt.

PA,

I remember we have been discussing that.

I found it intersting what one friend once said, that she was drawn to the vampire myth because of the eternal youth, living for all eternity, strength, power.
and nothing of that ever appealed to me. I never thought about it. I didn`t care.
I think there may be different "aspects" to it that appeal to people.

and I agree with you, the blood sucking thing is pretty disgusting most of the times.
I was impressed with the portrayal of it in Tale of a vampire with Julian Sands in his dream sequence. It was clearly portrayed as rape and attempt of murder.
Let`s face it feeing a person of all their blood usually involves the death of said person, and that is murder.

Yet, the vampire symbolism, has changed over the generations.
This is not what it is exclusively about anymroe.

I didn't come out of nowhere. I was simply hiding in a Qantas toilet cubicle.

My favourite line from "Maid In Transylvania"? Oh yes, "I'm jealous of the blood stain".

So, in essence, what some people are saying is that the romantic portrayal of a vampire by an actor they find attractive makes the concept of vampires appealing?

I could explain to you the appeal of vampires to me.

Or like Lestat said in the film "Queen of the Damned" to the reporter:
"If you wish I can give you a private demonstration later. In your hotelroom."

Re; vampire appeal,
I'm not so stuck on them, but I do find the story romantic, not in a flowers and fluff manner, but something about this poor lost soul who needs you to keep going, and you need to become one like he is...Reminds me of Pluto & Persephone.

DD, didn't you post charts for the dracula myth/story/what-have-you, a while back?
You did a really nice job on that post btw, the biography etc.

I guess this just has no appeal to me on a romantic level. I've never been drawn to that kind of love, or to vampires. I do like Damon in The Vampire Diaries but only because he's so bad and that does hold appeal to me for some reason. He would have had the same appeal if he wasn't a vampire. I've always liked the bad boys. The fact that Damon is really easy on the eyes makes it a more pleasant experience.

Lonake,

yes I think I did. Must have been some weeks ago, so probably is by now on page 99 or so. lol

PA,

I think "the lost soul" thing doesn`t hold an appeal to me either. For me it is about something different.

And it is completely unrelated to the fact that Transylvania is aspecting Lust in my chart. ROFL

It is only a weakly sextile anyway. how relevant can a sextile be? Though it contains interesting letters in an interesting order.

Damon would appeal to me ANYWHERE, and mostly in my...

Okay, is this an adult forum?

I am kidding, but I think most of these actors had some appeal to me in other roles, too. So it is not easy to distinguish if it is the actor or the role for me.

I guess it depends on what you are appreciating too. The performance, role or the sex and/or appeal? Some people and characters we are inexplicably drawn to but I think that's different, and also rare. We're not going to feel that way about a lot of them, only very few. Whereas the romantic and sexual attraction would be more, I think. I can rattle off a list of actors and characters I find good looking or sexy, but only a couple of characters that I'm really drawn to personally, that evoke genuinely strong feelings and thoughts.

Ian Somerhalder has lovely eyes, but I don't think he'd appeal to me in any other role. I really like the character of Damon, and that really is in a romantic sense. That he is a vampire is null in the atraction.

I never have problems distinguishing the character from the actor. Sometimes I do wonder how much of one is in the other, though. I'm not going to confuse any romanticism towards Edward Cullen as it being for Robert Pattinson, aside from the fact that I find neither attractive, but just as an example. Perhaps one day Robert Pattinson (in keeping with your vampire thread ) will play a character that I really am drawn towards. But then I am really drawn to characters rather than actors.

Damon and Gerry are in a similiar league for me.
It`s fun to be lusting after them, maybe BECAUSE there is zero emotional overtone.

Robert Pattinson - zero attraction for Edward (oh please stop whining? Do you want to whine your whole eternal life through? Just like Angel?).
BUT I was watchng "The haunted airman" (with Julian Sands and Robert Pattinson), and I was really really impressed with Rob`s acting. He even SCARED me, mroe than julian did.
Which is nearly impossible!

Of course the lusting is fun! Absolutely. But they shouldn't be confused for anything else, in my opinion. It's easy to confuse that with other things, I think.

Yes, I agree about the whole Edward whining thing. LOL. I actually found the leader of the Volturi (can't think of his name) really intriguing. That he was so fascinated by Bella being willing to give up her life for the likes of Edward, fascinated me, actually.
