My take on why people love vampires: it has nothing to do with them being bad or good, but how heavily eroticised they are. Their movements, their grace, everything about them (male or female) is incredibly erotic. Even Edward Cullen the good vampire has some of this going on...haha. -BTW, when I actually read Twilight, I pictured him as Milo Ventimiglia. *hides in shame*

LEXX - I just meant - some people simply go with the flow of what is "in" at the time. They might not necessarily like a a particular image or find it attractive.. but if three of their friends like that or their social circle does or the media in general portrays that as "attractive".. they will say they love it also - to blend. BM - quote: Their movements, their grace, everything about them (male or female) is incredibly erotic.
I agree actually. I don't have a particular facination or attraction to vampires, but I like all mythical characters in general - both erotic and non-erotic. My Neptunian streak would like to live in a world of sheer fantasy I think my absolute favourite mythical character would have to be the dragon. If a fairy visited me and gave me a choice between meeting a vampire and meeting a dragon - I would definitely pick a dragon! IP: Logged |

Ami Ann quote: Well, LEXX, THAT was what I was trying to figure out ---WHY--the vampire---is so universally thought of as sexy?
Their passion for intensity? Their separateness? Even maybe their vulnerability? Like it reflects aspects of ourselves back?IP: Logged |

The non sexy killing machine ones are not sexy but repulsive to me. IP: Logged |

"Their passion for intensity? Their separateness? Even maybe their vulnerability? Like it reflects aspects of ourselves back?" LEXX, to add to that i would say their outsidedness, they dont fit in with us, as well as mysteriousness, for some the pain of having their humanity taken away from them or their joy for having immortality and super strenghth.....the butterball turkey plant caught on fire...------------------ We have eyes yet we do not see IP: Logged |

Lexx,*Im eccentric, so my mind wanders. When a human is turned into vampire, yes the body dies but also something in the mind, a part of the ego. They cease seeing physical and see energy, If that energy they like is in a male or female its makes no difference, its whats right for them. what ever attracts so to speak, survival of the strongest applies to many things, because it comes before other matters. --- My crazy viewpoint Yes androdgynus men or woman who can break you in half, its both sexy and scary. Thats why it works. Maybe its just me and from what ive seen but most metrosexual type men ive seen cant fight they're way out of a wet dream. People like sex, respect strength. IP: Logged |

Welcome to my world! I've been into a Book series called the Wheel of Time and my favorite characters are The Green Man (who died...but was literally green, and could make things grow with the touch of his finger) and this guy Perrin who could talk with Wolves. As for traditional mythological figures....I like witches. 'Traitor to the Crown' is a series that made my life because it combined my two favorite genres: historical fiction and fantasy. It was about the Revolutionary Wars and Witches involved in it behind the scenes. haha

LOL@LEXX i guess if you look at it like that i guess i'm attracted to scorpio personalities...they have the most mysterious air about them.......hm? oh sorry, i got lost in thought......lol, no but really, tall dark and handsome doesnt always have that mysteriousness about them, but just the ones that doesnt say much. i think thats why i was so attracted to edwards character in twilight, he kept a lot of secrets so i kept reading to see what they are, lol------------------ We have eyes yet we do not see IP: Logged |

DD, What's the correlation between the Vampire qualities and astro? Did I miss it, cos I saw you added a list of signs afterward? I know Gary Oldman is one of the Aries But there were only 10 of them? (blame t.Neptune getting closer to my Sun)IP: Logged |
