If I remember correctly, you, as well as I have harsh aspects between Moon-Venus. I read that it leaves us seeking approval from others, especially people who we're attracted to. I don't want to put the time and energy in expanding male's preferences. People like us have to learn how to love ourselves to the point that we don't care what the opposite sex thinks or the kind of guy/girl they go for. If that leaves me to be a single virgin for the rest of my life than so be it

The emphasis on chastity in some societies has gotten way out of hand where personal honour becomes such a priority to families where they end up killing their own flesh and blood to preserve that honour.

Girls will have exes. Guys will have exes. And yes, things may have gotten physical with some of those exes. Not all of the experiences that we might have had with our exes are bad.

Dear lord. Only guys would think of it like a sport - a trophy to win, or competition.

Females later grow up and find that it gets much better with experience and age. I doubt most firsts are much more memorable except for the fact that they were their first and that's it.

I find most porn ridiculous, too, and it sucks that too many men (and even some women) try to learn from that garbage.

That said, I think the "beauty and the beast" drivel that's rampant in the romance genre (be a loving doormat to a total jerk and he'll transform into a prince) is even worse. Actually, both porn for men and romance for women makes life harder for women, IMO.

I understand this, though in a cynical way, and it's for 2 different reasons:

1. It's a polite way of asking if you want a virgin because very few (especially men) are going to admit to being that. Many people want virgins for a variety of reasons, ranging from practical to religious to egotistical. This gives a roundabout way to find people you're interested in without them having to admit to being virginal.

2. It's also a way for many men (and I suppose a few women) to find people for a brief fling or even one night stand. That is they're not looking for a relationship, they're looking for a quickie, and in fact may already be married. Men are notorious for this. And if a woman is "experienced" then he figures she's going to be that much easier for him to play before he tosses her aside like a used toy that no longer amuses him.
