The ascendant would describe the appearance, would its ruling planet and its position have an effect on it somehow? I have a Taurus asc on vedic but I do not identify with its descrpition for most parts haha. IP: Logged |

^My Sun seems to be supah supported...Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter all conjunct in one sign? Sounds good to me! Ok anybody I have a question... quote: But there are additional Karakas, depending on the longitude of the planet: a) planet with highest longitude: Atmakaraka (significator of soul and self) b) planet with lowest longitude: Darakaraka (significator of relationship and partner)
What does it mean by longitude? Does it mean like, the "highest" planet is closest to the MC? And the "lowest" planet is the planet closest to the IC? IP: Logged |

yup Would be CHANDRA in my case, beating SHANI just by a couple of minutes. In Navamsa it would be SHUKRA (interestingly exactly opposite CHANDRA in Rasi) IP: Logged |

Longitude is the degree in the zodiac.like in my Navamsa Shukra is on 23 Cancer. NO other planet has a higher longitude (I don`t have planets from 24-29 degrees). My Drakaraka in Rasi is BUDDH on 1 Sagittarius. In Navamsa it is SHANI on 1 Taurs - Damn it! CHANDRA is on 2 Leo (but Shani is definitely lower than that.)

Oh! Oh oh oh. Then it's Mercury at 4 Libra for darakaraka still, and my atmakaraka is Jupiter at 29 Libra! EDIT! Unless the Lagna is counted, as it's at 3 Leo. IP: Logged |

hey Drapada sounds intersting. I mean who is not interested in sex? Seems for me it is Cancer (Lagna-chart) In the Chandra Chart it seems to be Cancer as well. In the Navamsa chart is it is Virgo. Does that mean I have to - I mean, get to- boink someone with something in Cancer or Virgo? Anyone want to exchange? IP: Logged |

Oh no exchange needed. the guy who is driving me crazy, has ASC in Cancer in Navamsa. Mars in Virgo. Well but he probably does not want to boink me
Let`s see. His Darapadas are:
Rasi: Capricorn Chandra: Aries Navamsa: Capricorn
I have:
Moon in Capricorn (Rasi) Sun, Mercury, MC in Aries (Navamsa)

Example-time:Darapada-calculation as I understand it. 1. Locate the 7th house (opposite ASC or in Chandra chart opposite the Moon). 2. Identify its ruler. 3. See where the ruler lands. 4. Count the signs, including the starting one. 5. Count onwards the same number. 6. the sign you arrive at is it. My chart.
1. ASC Scorpio, so 7th house is in Taurus 2. Ruler of Taurus is VENUS. 3. Venus is in Sagittarius. 4. Counting from Taurus (7th house) to SAgittarius (ruler of 7th) Taurus - Gemini - Cancer - Leo - Virgo- Libra- Scorpio - SAgittarius (8 signs). 5. Counting onwards: Sagittarius- Capricorn - Aquarius - Pisces - Aries - Taurus - Gemini - Cancer (8 signs). Cancer is it Finished. IP: Logged |
