In Vedic, nearly everything is in better shape, sun moves to Leo, Mars to Scorpio and I get to keep my Taurus moon.IP: Logged |

The sun has engulfed the planet. The planet will not function properly Mercury combust is not that bad, natives are just blinded by their own opinion. They are very clever and bright. Venus combust makes the native too selfish, troubles in married life for a male. Does magnify the superficial qualities of venus but takes away from the venus's core goal For example sun combust venus in libra or taurus will strength venus but the native will lack solar energy... Thus are superficial These natives on the bright side are classically attractive and charming Oh well.. Mars combust is actually the best kind you can have. IP: Logged |

It's really interesting Kero, the combust theory. In Western Astrology, it doesn't make sense for me but I can see some connection to the theory in Jyotish astrology. If Jupiter represents the person I will marry and it's combust because of the Sun. The Sun is the lord of the 6th House in my chart. I wonder if it means that my married partner will be ill or afflicted with some disease. It's interesting because a person that I believe to be my soul mate/twin soul etc. etc. has a disease. So. . .what gives!? Haha I have to read more into this. I hope Jessica comes browsing this way to give us a great book recommendation! IP: Logged |

Yet some rashi are better than others for the beauty result:Mesha:Surya is empowered in the rashi of Kuja but Kuja is Shukra's enemy. feminine traits diminished; a craggy, masculine muscle-y look, adolescent sizing. Looks good in competitive sport. Vrishabha:Surya's power is diminished in the rashi of Surya's enemy Shukra, but Shukra gains strength in swakshetra. Feminine traits emphasized; Soft, rounded, sensuous, nicely balanced features. Looks good in fields, forests, and with textiles and oils. Mithuna:Surya is neutral to Budha while Shukra experiences Budha as a friendly influence. The person with Surya + Shukra is very pretty and charming. Looks good in conversational settings. Karkata:Surya is a good friend to the Moon while for Shukra Chandra is a neutral influence. Unless severely combust, the person with Surya + Shukra is moderately pretty, but willful. Looks good in domestic settings where they rule the roost. Simha:Surya is too strong in this yoga; Shukra's cool beauty is overwhelmed, burned up, charred. If combust, Shukra has no power at all in Simha. the native may enjoy a charming personality (or not) but the physical appearance will not display a classical beauty. If either Shukra or Simha = lagnesha, tends toward a reddish complexion. Kanya:Surya is neutral to Budha while Shukra experiences Budha as a friendly influence. However Shukra = neechcha in Kanya rashi. However attractive the native may appear to outsiders, the native cannot perceive one's own beauty. The person with Surya + Shukra is mildly pretty and charming, but often some flaw in the conventional beauty such as an unusual body type or a mark on the face. Looks good in intellectual settings. Their attractiveness increases through added intelligence if Budha also joins Surya + Shukra in Kanya.. thula:Surya is diminished in the rashi enemy Shukra, but Shukra gains strength in swakshetra. Feminine traits emphasized; Soft, rounded, sensuous, nicely balanced features. Looks good in small groupings and pairings, in elegant surroundings. Vrischika:Surya is empowered in the rashi of Kuja but Kuja is Shukra's neutral. feminine traits diminished; a dark, penetrating look which can be seductive but also a bit controlling. Looks good in exploratory settings. Dhanau:Surya sees Guru as a friend, while Shukra sees Guru as a neutral. Expansive loveliness, with a golden, slightly plump, cheerful appearance. Looks good in ceremonial and educational settings. Makara: Surya is much impeded in the rashi of Shani but Shani is Shukra's great friend. Fair complexion, good bones, attractive according to the mainstream values of the native 's culture. Looks good in conventional costume, in large hierarchies. Kumbha:Surya is much impeded in the rashi of Shani but Shani is Shukra's great friend. Surprising beauty, a bit eccentric in appearance but very attractive. Looks good in unusual dress, in large assemblies. Meena:Surya sees Guru as a friend, while Shukra sees Guru as a neutral. Striking beauty: Shukra = uchcha in Meena. Musical and artistic talents matching a very lovely appearance. Fair complexion relative to one's gene pool, balanced features. Expansive loveliness, with a golden, slightly plump, cheerful appearance. Looks good in artistic settings, and with children.

Cazimi is different. Conjunction of less than 1 degree is called Cazimi I think, my saturn and mercury are Cazimi but Vedic does not use orbs. IP: Logged |

No it's not the same as Cazimi. I'm taking a wild guess here and saying that Mars combust is good to offset it's malefic nature? Not sure. A combust planet has it's power diffused. Sort of like how anything in front of the Sun becomes shadow because of the Sun's brightness. Cazimi is when it's basically merging with the Sun and becoming powerful. Although I have personally noticed that my Jupiter highly modifies my Sun to the point where I can seem quite Sagittarian, instead of Taurean and it's not at Cazimi. Cazimi is when a planet is within 17 minutes of arc with the Sun. And I'm not sure but I've only heard this referenced with Horary Astrology. IP: Logged |

Wouldn't the same apply to Saturn cazimi as Mars? It would be good, the sun would diminish the malefic nature of Saturn? IP: Logged |

It's the same as having a stellium in western. If you have sun, venus, mars in punarvarsu, you are likely to be show more of its characteristics, although your moon nakshatra may fall in another nakshatra. quote: Originally posted by Lunae: how about purvabhadra?
Purvabhadra is in aquarius and pisces I believe. Is your moon in pisces Lunae?
quote: Originally posted by Kerosene: WAIT do you have a punavarsu nakshatra? Im in love with a one!!I like that nakshatra.
Moon or sun? I have a stellium in Punarvarsu, sun, saturn, mercury and venus. Cancer. Arudra nakshatra. If a woman's sun is in punarvasu she will likely rule,it can be at work or in her house or anywhere lol. Basically it's the nakshatra of the royalties. IP: Logged |

Well it's not I don't think it has anything to do with sexual magnetism or sexual appeal or people that you attract. It's the arudha pada Kero, it's maya remember..you can find the arudha pada of ANY planet. It is used in prediction.. IP: Logged |
