In Western Astrology, it doesn't make sense for me but I can see some connection to the theory in Jyotish astrology.

If Jupiter represents the person I will marry and it's combust because of the Sun. The Sun is the lord of the 6th House in my chart. I wonder if it means that my married partner will be ill or afflicted with some disease.

It's interesting because a person that I believe to be my soul mate/twin soul etc. etc. has a disease.

No it's not the same as Cazimi. I'm taking a wild guess here and saying that Mars combust is good to offset it's malefic nature? Not sure.

A combust planet has it's power diffused. Sort of like how anything in front of the Sun becomes shadow because of the Sun's brightness.
