In vedic astrology orbs are usually not counted in comparison charts either.

My Vedic ASC is Gemini, Mercury is Sagittarius in my 7th house, so to find my AL I would count 10 houses from Sag which is Virgo

Then for Upapada my 12th house is ruled by Taurus, my Venus is Capricorn in my 8th house, and that's 9 house so my upapada is also Virgo??

Anyways, your post sounds like you don't agree with your Darapada being Virgo. I was thinking about lord placement for this because a couple things don't make sense for me either. Does the sign your Mercury sit in make more sense for you?

My Darapada is in Capricorn and that works for what I'm attracted to but then Saturn sits in Sagittarius and this makes a bit more sense than Capricorn. That's why I was wondering!

I have a couple more questions for you guys!

In Vedic Astrology it is both Mars and Jupiter that represent the males in your life. Mars is pretty much the same as Western Mars. He represents the guy that is sexy to you. Whereas Jupiter represents the guy that you will marry. So what sign does both Jupiter and Mars sit for you guys, may I ask?

For me, Mars sits in Capricorn (maybe this is why my Darapada makes sense?) and Jupiter sits in Aries but it's combust from the Sun. I'm not sure how to interpret that.

I used astro first and then compared it to a number of vedic calculators.

I just put "vedic calculators" in google and then right clicked them to new tabs and entered my data in each one. Astro is the same as the majority. A couple were completely off but I blame that on the calculators where you have to put in the lat/long and time zone properly which I probably messed up leading to the wrong chart.

I just choose whole sign and the Lahiri sidreal for astro.com. There could be a better site but I'm not aware of it.

Something about the aries/pisces constellation gets me going.

Idk if darapada has much to with what you're attract to, I think it shows how you attract.
Darapada seems to be kinda like venus.
It shows the quantity and quality of the the social or sexual relationships you have in this life time.

But I would like Jessica's opinion on this because Im not too sure.

I've never read that darapada shows what sign your attracted to.

Vedic is odd to me because I never know if it's mainly on signs since Western becomes more about aspects. Although, watching KRSchannel, he starts to talk about aspects and it seems like they do include trine, square, opposition, conjunction and even the quincunx. He just says it like "11th House aspects the 2nd House" without saying the name of the aspect.
